The whole north is ready for the strike. We are going to ground every government activities starting from Wednesday.
When they were protesting against Buhari, these evil people from the south west were leading the protest. Now they want we the northerners to support them. Only a foolish northerner will support these evil people.
During the end SARS protest, these Yoruba were leading the protest now they want to play us sense.

Instead of you to check if the protest if for a worthy cause before making final judgment, you decide to check for the tribes of the people at the forefront protesting against your messiah who doesn't have your best interest at heart.

You see why even for the 300 years, suffering and poverty go still dey feast for una land.

Zero naira sense una no get for this country.

the worst thing that can happen is when the trillions saved from subsidy removal found its way into private pockets,Nigerian politicians are fantastically corrupt that such thing is a clear and present danger,if the president can be properly adviced to channel every Kobo to provide stable electricity and good federal roads he has won, everything else will fall into place

See what I posted above your comment.

These should be the concern of NLC and TUC and telling the president to revert to old price. Who does that? Who's Ajaero? He must be stupid. An elected president? Was the president elected by workers alone? Ajaero should find out who Tinubu is, if he doesn't know, Tinubu is not a baby he can threaten. He cannot use Tinubu to score points. Ajaero should go back to Obi that sent him that his Plan C would not work o.

In 2014 that APC protested on its removal, they did not see the NLC strike as politicisation. It's now that they are seeing it.

What is NLC north and NLC south west

The last time I checked, NLC got one national body

Is APC trying to create a phantom NLC faction masquerading as NLC North and NLC South west

Is Tinubu and his minions now creating the impression that every other part of the country is against the subsidy removal except the so called North and South west

Are we now in a government of North and South west collabo against the rest of the country

It will surely backfire

When we say that Tinubu ran the most tribal, religious and ethnic divisive campaign ever witnessed in this country, we have the facts and this is one of it

While you have a point, i don't totally agree, they are essential goods traders or business people, those would sustain well, salary earners are mostly hit, transportation currently has doubled, by this coming week, food and other essential products would likely double or triple, so, me that earn 100k and spend 30k on transport previously would now be spending 60k, also if i spend 20k on feeding, then it becomes 40k, the 100k salary is gone...also if u had savings of 500k, its value would be halved.....also note that while Businesses are affected like you stated, salary cannot be increased up to 200% ( or double), so, now, who would suffer most?....so business may have to lay off staffs to survive.

Cost of running business should have doubled or even tripled....so salary worker would be on the receiving end more.....I learnt water is about to increase, would you now stop drinking water or eating food?

The president wasn't wise and too hasty....alot should have been made available.

At this point our borders need to be opened if that would help reduce prices of essential products especially food, let there be over supply.

The coming weeks would be very tough, all of us writing in support of this removal and discouraging a protest would begin to feel the pain, the government needs to provide a cushion, and trust me, if this Govt doesn't get the heat they won't act.

You can say that again at the last statement!

What the silly NLC leader should fight for is how Salaries will be increased to cover for this fuel issue. The call for the strike is sick if he is also working in the interest of the country. Now is the time for all to look at ways for this country to make meaningful progress.

NLC doing the same thing over and over again, subsidy returns, fuel price increases slightly and then, subsidy payment increases too.

If we follow the trend of things in this country, we'd understand that these marketers just want to make more money from the government in the name of subsidy while calling ridiculous amounts as the real price of fuel. Just last year, they said it will be 350 or thereabout per litre if the subsidy was removed. Early this year they changed the narrative and they said it will be N750 per litre. Is this not a way of holding the government bound to keep paying for subsidies whereas Nigeria consumes less than what they declare as the consumption per day.

We should start thinking of how to move this country forward and not backwards anymore.

SouthEast people are more of private industries and organised businesses. Theyhave never participated in strikes rather they go about their businesses.
The truth is civil servants are the ones that need the strike most because their present pay cannot take them anywhere.
My advice is that Tinubu and his men should reach out to civil servants as they did during campaign begging them not to go on strike. They should be ready to provide them with alternative and not telling them to endure while they steal the money.

That is what NLC is fighting for. The country cannot move forward with suffering created by corrupt elites. Since 2015 civil servants have not had increased salaries.
The former president jacked fuel price from 85 to 195 claiming he has removed subsidy. Which subsidy does this government want to remove again?

You don’t know how life work, how will someone be earning 30k and fuel is 500 plus, I trust British and South Africans etc, they for wan strike.

Doesn’t make any sense at all, YOU ARE GOVERNMENT, you are the masses, they can’t be collecting hardship allowance as public office holders and you the masses are suffering.

Common, remove politics for once, remove religion for once, remove ethnicity for once,

Small inflation for uk, they increase minimum wage last year, they increase this year again, the rise of living have to reflect on the masses earnings

Ajaero is just NLC Presdient that speaks for the workers.
The government should provide enough palliatives to civil servants if they want the increase to stay. It is not about Ajaero but the suffering being faced by Nigerian workers.
Werre do one get money to buy fuel at N537 per litre? Is it Ajaero that will give Nigerians fuel? Coming week will be very tough because the hike will reflect on items generally and Nigerians will groan under serious hardship like Jacob and his family who ran to Eypgt.

Your case is good bro, @ least you know one sure 100k is coming month end, it is left for you to draw case of preference

For a trader, with the present economic hardship, consumers will surely cut down on purchaases .. before as a boutique owner if you're making 100k a month it is no longer guaranteed, becos turnover will drop and flunctuate at low.
Need i remind you a trader will pay shop rent, pay transport to his/her shop, pay sales gurl/boy, pay his house rent and feed all that expenditure is on a dwindling turnover
Salary earner whether oga sell or no sell you go collect salary at month end, you have zeros worries about your office expenditure na the owner headache, If you guyz own a business you won't argue the way una dey argue

“The politically-tainted NLC, TUC, and NLC President, Joe Ajaero have asked workers to go on strike next Wednesday over the removal of petrol subsidy, despite being privy to the distressing financial figures, which justified why subsidy ought to have been scrapped a long time ago”.

So Bayo Onanuga finally agreed that subsidy should have gone long ago?

Why did Tinubu and Buhari lead the protest against GEJ’s move to end subsidy in 2014? They will never provide the answer to that.
