Hello fruitful mama's. I have a question, I have been taking some supplements which are: Pregnacare conception, omega 3 fish oil, Zing 50mg, Vit C 500mg, Vit E 400 iu, Vit B-6 50mg and just added CO Q10. Are they all okay for me?!! I just want to be sure i'm not doing to much in my prep for this ivf journey. Sticky bean vibes to us smiley
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Beetle: 10:45pm On Jun 26, 2015
@ Quincy girl, vitamin e is too much, stop the extra bit e, add vitamin d instead.

The extra vit b will still cause your bone to start tingling in a bit, stop that too.

The dosage of vitamin b and e in pregnacare is enough. Hope it helps!

I know there is a TTC forum but I was just wondering if there are any ladies here that are going through or will soon go through IVF/IUI or any other assisted reproduction techniques other than clomid.

I am currently doing IVF and thought it would be nice to share with others on the same journey and compare notes on meds, stimms, retrievals, transfers etc.
I'm on day 4 of stimms using 1cc of Menopur 75IU and 375 IU of Gonal-F injections I have to take in my belly every night. These meds have the worst side effects, headaches, nausea and kick-a ss diarrhea (TMI sorry  wink )

If you have an IVF experience, please share.
please what is the overall cost of ivf?If you arent sure can you give me an estimate?lots of love

Goodmorning beautiful mothers! Congrats to all the pregos. Just to add -let your coq10 be ubiquinol. There is ubiquinone but ubiquinol works better.
Then royal jelly is good tooo.

Happy Sunday! Congratulations mamaafresh. U'll carry to term and deliver safely.

Just want to share a little here. I'm not there yet, but thank God we are not where we used to be. Brief history: Dh was diagnosed of azoospermia with abnormal hormone levels. High FSH and LH and very low Testosterone. Tried all sorts of herbs but nothing worked. We had a telephone consultation with Mr R in the uk and he prescribed clomid which he has been on for the past 5- 6months and we ave seen a great diff. Testosterone has increased remarkable and he did another Sfa( teratozoospermia). He's been asked to come over to the uk now that things ave changed and Dr even says he might not need a TESE anymore. So happy. Was going to wait till I get my bfp before sharing this but I tot it might be beneficial to someone else going thru same.

It's not been easy but I know it would end in praise.
Fertility blessings to all of us.

Please fruitful mamas in the house.please I need an answer.I want to do icsi but have fibroid(non problematic) and out of my uterus.do I need to remove it first, please has anyone done myomectomy before? Please answer a sister.baby dust to us all
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by fruitfultara: 9:29am On Jul 03, 2015
@twintower i really think you should clear all obstacles before going through this route. I had a Myomectomy after my last cycle failed because all fingers pointed to the fibroid although I had both submucous and intramural ( though very small but not good for embies). What does ur fertility doctor think?
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by twintower: 12:08pm On Jul 03, 2015
@fruitfultera my doctor said he will do the surgery to remove the fibroid but I am just scared of such.how was the surgery done and how much does it cost.

I pray God gives us the strength to move forward
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Oleayo22(f): 6:48pm On Jul 03, 2015
@twintower, I dont think that you shld do anything to the fibroid. If its not disturbing your endometrial lining, then leave it. Most RE dont like you doing anything like surgery if its not going to affect implantation. Thats what mine told me anyway. They said to avoid scarring the lining.

@ twintower, fibroids can be seen by a scan but you will never know the full effect on your fertility unless it's removed.

I had mine removed. It was massive at about 780g or so and I just carried on doing icsi not knowing the effect it had on my womb. Try and see a specialist who's an expert in this. What I've realised is IVF doctors focus more on trying to get eggs, so as to fertilise but you always need an expert in every field to contribute to a successful cycle.

@Beetle and Aleayo22.thank you all for the prompt response.the doctor said we can try our first round and if the fibroid affects it,then we will remove it before the second round.I am abit confused because I am paying cash for this.I am not under any insurance.dh has to do tesa and the bill no be here my sister.I pray God to show me mercy and rescue me from this journey.thank you all

Hello all,

I hope you guys don't mind me posting on this thread since I don't reside in Nigeria. I came across this thread out of pure chance when out of the blue I was just curious about the state of IVF in Nigeria. I've read the whole thread from beginning to end this past week and it has made me feel so uplifted reading about how you guys encourage one another, the touching stories, how people have become friends in real life through sharing their stories - it is all so heart warming smiley. Most of all it is nice to read and share with people that have faith and trust in God because you don't really get that on UK threads. Sometimes I struggle and feel down because truth be told, TTC can be a very lonely journey when everyone around you is popping children left right and centre but I know that even though some of us have to take a different path to get there, God will eventually grant us our heart's desires.

Just a bit about us - married for 4 years now. DH has low sperm count, and very low motility and have been told it is unlikely we will conceive naturally. At the moment we will be starting an IVF/PGD cycle next month to avoid sickle cell affected embryos.

Praying for plenty of good news for all of us in this remaining half of 2015!

Hi,

I am not a regular on this thread but I have been reading for a while. I do not reside in Nigeria so I do not know if FET is common.

I was wondering if you could ask your doctor if they do FET( frozen embryo transfer).

So instead of going over the whole process again if you have to do a second round you just do a transfer.

No ovulation induction or egg retrieval.

Babydust and praying the 1st round brings you your miracle.
