Note that credit card is good but it is not secure as your details are exposed and

I must tell you that not all website accept it any longer these days because of rampant frauds

Warning: It's better to use PayPal as this is my favourite and YOU can run PayPal successfully while in Nigeria as all you need is to be informed............................

blink182: I sent an inquiry mail to UBA, till now I have no response. Please help me with answers

What is the difference between personalized and non personalized card

What is the maximum amount I can hold in a card

If I need to convert money to cash, can I transfer to my bank account or are there other means, I am referring to amounts above ATM limit or can I withdraw N500k from their machine

Finally, can I use the card to fund online casinos

Thanks
Please answers

PERSONALIZED means that you have have your names on the ATM card while NON-PERSONALIZED means you won't have your names on it. You will be required to come back for personalized card because they can't make your name from that branch same day.

There is no maximum amount you can hold in it, you can withdraw/make purchase with all your money

You can't transfer to other accounts. Transfers are only allowed between same cards. Same set limits with other ATM cards is applicable to it.

Sure you can fund online casinos with it.

I meant transferring to a uba account, say I need to withdraw a million naira from it, the atm can't process that. So how do I go about it.

The missing name is the obvious difference, I was asking if their operations are absolutely the same apart from the name, can it perform the same task as the personalized one?

UBA Africa card is not an account with the bank. The bank is an agent to GTP (card issuer) and so the card can not transfer funds into other UBA (and other banks) accounts.
The card it programmed to absorb only 750,000 quarterly (1million annually). So it has it limits too.

Personalized and non - personalized can performs same function.
Hope you are cleared.

Yeah, thank you very much, you won't believe I wrote to UBA since friday and no response till now. Guess wire transfer is still the way to go with bulk transfer.

Theres a 2.74% extra charge on the transfer as well. Its still a real bargain compared to the N180 Epay will charge you.

What he was expecting, is for people to start asking him how they can use paypal here and for him to tell them to send emails to some stupid email account, and the nonsense continues from there.

I use GTB mastercard and UBA Africard online and they both work for me. However,I find that I use the UBA africard more now and dont even bother to add money to my GTB dollar mastercard anymore because the Africard is very convenient. I dont need to go looking for dollars to buy and pay into my account. I just pay in naira whenever I want and when shopping online, the going exchange rate is applied. I have not had problems with it.

When I hear people talk of gtb dollar master card, i wonder. the bank told me they no longer issued it as the naira master card served same purpose fully. Well, the naira card served me well indeed but this visa card has got to be the height. The fact it receives money is so much convenience.

What do you mean by this and do you think that YOU are talking to a kid or a dummy in the online business package.

Learn how to talk in public places and this your statement renders you as someone that is not responsible....

Let me tell you,I highly recommend UBA africard and Zenith surfcard to my students but I must tell you,not every site accept it

and mind you, paypal is accepted almost everywhere online.

I'm waiting for you people later to come and beg me to use my paypal to make payment for you..............

Re: Your experiences with the UBA Naira Visa Africard by Nobody: 7:47am On May 24, 2012
ogasir2011: @ 2sexy, when you get you UBA africard you are given 2 pins - one for the ATM, the other one for the web access, both PINS are diffrent.

To access the web portal you have to logon to www.myubaafricard.com then key in your card number then your web 4 digit PIN. After you have done dat you will be redirected to a page to enter your user name and an 8 digit code which will then be using for the web acesss.

As I said web acess PIN and ATM are provided wit the card and they r diffrent.

I have done this...I got a confirmation email b4 d world war.
