besides other things being double checked did they move the cranks shaft sensor pick up ring by any chance ? the chance of it being moved a bit is high and might affect your gear ration on the gearbox

Also to fix it properly, they need to pull out the entire shaft including the cup and couple and then install as a unit.

The half measures have never worked on any car. Go to Iyana itire for the cv boot infact take the car there.

From my few days experience with Volkswagen, Your car might have DTC but will not appear on the cluster. Best is to scan the car to know the issue.there is no way it will not pick up fault code from ECU. If you have carbon buildup issue, your vehicle might have intake manifold valves problem, common issue on FSI engines. as for the cold start misfire scan your car and check the EGR (mechanical gear)

Who has the ability to plug oil leakages on Audi a6? It is very minor and negligible but I still want it fixed.

Also drain and replace transmission fluid.
