Because we are wiser now.

Since the struggle has changed to attacking people, you guys should make sure you kill thieves from your region next time you attack them. Enough of all that 'tinubu-escaped-death-by-whiskers' bulldung. We want to see you kill them. However, you should limit the killings to your own region.

We know our own thieves but we wont touch them until you have KILLED all your thieves first afterall they have been the ones sodomizing nigeria for a long time now. Our own people are new in the business so lets kill the older thieves first!

Revolution my foot!

Sounds like the words of a coward to me. Bounce and jump around the ring, voicing all kinds of excuses. First Off, what "Your Region"? What Region do you think I'm from? Tell me! Dude, if I told you my background, most of you will be shocked not only because of the Nigeria Language I usually speak but because of. . . . anyways, forget that for now.

You know your thieves but you won't touch them, abi? But you'll help others kill theirs, no be so? Why is the very first coup in Nigeria such a sensitive issue again?

So, no corrupt Igbo Politician has ever existed? All the corrupt Politician have always been Yoruba; "sod*omizing  Nigeria" along with other Yorubas like Andy Uba and his brothers + Peter Obi, Kalu and co. . . .

You sound like a lowly, Illiterate bigot not worthy of Civil conversation. People like you are the ones I fear the most as all this unfolds. You're treacherous to the bone-marrow but would like to deceive yourselves that you're doing something noble. Either you stand up and be counted or just sit still as the fire is brought to your doorsteps. If you think the connected Political Elite of Igbo Origins won't pounce on you once they see their colleagues falling in other Regions, then You're living in fantasy land. They way I see it, thats the only Region where the remaining corrupt few can possibly be guaranteed a "happily every after" once the rest (from other Regions) have been decimated all across Nigeria. What I'm seeing is such a shame; your words that I read is even sadder.

But, to each his destiny. You don't try to force a man to make his life better. You've chosen, and its your right to decide what you want. I just hope your wishes are in-tune with what your Rich Political class also wants because if it is not, I'll tell you right now: YOU'RE IN BIG TROUBLE!!!

@ kingoflag - First of all its not a matter of anyone being suspicious of the rest of naija it is a matter of ppl who still live in a militarised environment.

The Enugu case is still hot on everybody's radar, abi u never hear. The state's NLC boss has been arrested and charged, the other executives are underground and on the run. It is not about people not seizing the moment but about systematic and brutal repression.

You get mouth to boast because police dey escort protesters for lagos and abuja abi. In the east they would have smelt ak47 for their trouble. You are quick to lecture but did you even hear about what happened at Upper Iweka, Onitsha on monday morning? A peaceful march was brutally put down by police from near the bridge head before it could gather steam. I know a family that lost a son that morning, of course it wasn't news na!.

Despite all the repression abia NLC members are fighting to protest even to the point of their turn coat leader being chased into hiding.

If you have been enjoying freedom in your region don't take it for granted. You are asking what "crackdown ppl are scared of"? Do you know how many heavily armed and fortified checkpoints there are per mile in the east? Those playing politics of divide and rule dey where dem dey and whether u and some NL igbos play e-war is inconsequential to anybody in the real world. Keep your ears to the ground and see what will happen, if possible go out there and play your role, its easy to judge others when you're not them

My guy, na you know which e-wars you and your younger brothers dey play. . . .

Don't give me that lame excuse of Igboland being Militiarized. So, what are you telling me, that because you are so-called "Militiarized", you will endure injustice forever? Whats the definition of a coward again? You're giving me all these excuses of NLC Members being chased into hiding and of supposed Labor leaders selling out the people; what does that tell you? Ok, then.

Your situation is no different from any other place in Southern Nigeria (and in some parts of Northern Nigeria). Oh, the guys wey die for Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Benin, Maiduguri, Ilorin, Ibafo and so on, na Boy Scouts kill them abi? So, whats the excuse again?

Stand up and be counted for the future of your kids, thats all I'm saying!
Re: Heading Towards Arab Spring?: Senators Attacked! by studyineu: 3:40pm On Jan 12, 2012
@kingofflag, don't say what you don't know. If you are in the east you won't be vomiting this trash here cause you don't understand the state of things here. Moreover we the igbos are not in a haste as we de 1966 war taught us a lesson, if we start now u northners and southners will be de one to also critize us. Afterall we dnt believe in one nigeria.

Normally, I don't respond to tribalists. But, you,I'll give one response and I hope you do not reply me: WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER, IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE.

If I want to be as ignorant as you, I can ask you a few questions starting with who massively voted this failure we have in power right now? Oh, your answer will be "All parts of Nigeria" , abi? Na, massively I talk o. So, if thats the case, whose job should it be to tremove him from that seat? See, how ignorant that would have sounded?! This is a one-for-all-all-for-one-moment either you grab it with open arms or just watch those vulture politicians re-congregate, and restrategize on how to hold you in bondage for another 100 years.

You really think this is a joke. SMH
Re: Heading Towards Arab Spring?: Senators Attacked! by studyineu: 3:53pm On Jan 12, 2012
@kingofflag, talk and vomit ur ignorances here, we de igbos have pressing issues to attend to than to protest over a subsidy removal that does not in anyway affect us mainly. Is ur type that are easily deceived, let's wait and see how ur protest and so called occupy Nigeria will work out.
Re: Heading Towards Arab Spring?: Senators Attacked! by jason123: 3:54pm On Jan 12, 2012
Guys, this is not the time to start pointing fingers or yoruba-igbo e-fights.

If SEasterners don't want to protest, please, it is not by force. Though disappointed, they have their freedom to do whatever as long as they know what they are doing (which I think they know).

This is the time to demand accountability and good governance. If we are silenced now, we may forever be silenced!

Ndigbo, Omo Yorubas, THROW AWAY YOUR PETTY ARGUMENTS AND DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY. The time for divide and rule has ended! Now or never.
Guys, do not allow people to tribalise this issue.

Such a shame when I hear people like you. Your kind is exactly why I hope Nigeria will find a way to split up amicably, because theres just no point living with someone that is stuck in the past , lives on prejudice, and only sees everything through tribal lenses.

Ive seen videos of Igbos standing up in Lagos, Belgium, London and New York so I know your kind are in the minority. When hunger wire you enough sha, you'll realize that the Politicians are all one tribe and you, the ordinary, common man are a completely different set.

I should have known. I really need to start going through people's past posts before I start responding to them; especially when I have an "hunch". . . .

Aren't these some of your postings to others? Just displaying your crass ignorance all over NL, I see

U re risking it for some political element in de north that won't even remember u at de end. Let this labour leaders bring their children to join the protest can they?. Just keep fooling urself

No more free money for ndi hausa. Is this our method of sharing wealth that is making them misbehave. GEJ We dey your back. Make dem protest until dem tire.

My, friend, "bitterness" is what will kill you. Let me tell you something, this is a new generation. The internet generation! And, you vultures will not keep us in the past with your prejudice and illiteracy. Over 75% of Nigeria is under the age of 35yrs and all they ask for is to be free from the shackles of you bitter old men from the past.

After going through your previous posts, and seeing how you related to others, I see now its a bloody waste even trying to get you to see reason why it is imperative that this current class of Politicians has to go because all you will see it through anyways are your tribal lenses; prejudice has blinded you to the truth.

So, Adios, I'm done.

First of all, where you come from doesnt matter cos we have axeholes everywhere and you are just one of them.

Whether you weep till next year, I still stand on what I said, we have our own corrupt official and we know them but we are not killing anybody, at least not yet.

We are tired of hearing that tinubu narrowly escaped death or otedola/IBB's house almost razed down. We want to see them do it.

You can cry as much as you want but you know what, I dont give a flying fork!
Re: Heading Towards Arab Spring?: Senators Attacked! by nku5: 10:07am On Jan 13, 2012
tin bring my younger brothers into this talk? Ol boy take it easy o.

You are calling an over policed community "a lame excuse". You are also saying that I'm giving you "excuses" of NLC members selling out or being chased into hiding. My guy if you want to make a blanket statement about my ppl just do it and stop p.u.s.sy footing around. Answer this question - has any NLC leader been arrested anywhere else in the country since this protest started.that's the easiest way to attack a struggle. All the places u called where ppl died (by the way nobody died in abuja, I'm on ground here) , I noticed u ignored the two ppl that died at upper iweka, onitsha on monday are they not nigerians or human beings?

If na to stand up my ppl dey stand up, I am standing my guy. Let me ask you , have you played your OWN role?

Monkey!

Like I said: Open your mind and stop being a bigot you unexposed Gorilla! Not everyone is an enemy.

"Cry"? You really think anything that happens in Nigeria remotely affects me? You're even dumber than you know. When you want to take a stance, its better to do it based on principle than on sentiments. Sentimental actions should be left to females; man up !

Blanket Statement about "Your People"? smh My, friend I don't indulge in tribalism. I leave that to those who have inhaled and breathed it all their lives. I didn't even know y'all was this crazy and the hatred so deep until I joined this site. You guys are insane and you have a lot of mental cases running around in that country you just don't know it.

The day Nigerians stop being bigots will be the day victory will shine on that country. Stop assuming you know everything about an anonymous person's background just by their opinion or a stance they have taken; it smirks of ignorance and a very archaic way of thinking. "He condemns it, so theres no way he's part of us".

Yes, I called it a "Lame Excuse"!!! And I'll call it a "Lame Excuse" a billion times over! For a people so boastful about how brave they are, how they can take on the world in a war etc If the fear of a few aboki with rusty guns is whats going to keep you in bondage forever. . . . hey, whats your definition of a coward?!

If the Igbo is battle-weary or does not have anymore belief in the entity called Nigeria, then thats cool and understandable; I have never believed in that country and I've always advocated that it be split along Regional Lines to foster for greater unity----- Unity in Division! So, stop throwing unfounded accusations around like you're some sort of chronic illiterate. Who died in Upper Iweka and for what? The protests? What News Agency carried it and how do you know I'm "Ignoring" them?

Its so sad when a lot of you can't see past in-built prejudices. So, tell me, O smart one : ARE THE PALESTINIANS FOOLISH FOR FIGHTING WITH STICKS AND STONES, AGAINST AN ISRAELI OCCUPYING FORCE THAT HAS THE MOST SOPHISTICATED WEAPONRY YOU CAN THINK OF?! So, whats your definition of bravery again?

This struggle has taken a different dimension now and for that, I'm glad. Now, the talk has spread beyond the removal of Subsidy and theres now more focus on the endemic corruption and the Boko-Haram issue. If you have concerns, bring them to the table now or you might lose out again in the long run.

So, any Igbo that urges you guys off the fence must be a Yoruba man? Cap28 posted a brilliant piece in another thread, abi na Hausa man, too? I do not play the tribal rubbish, do not make me out to be what I am not. If myopic and bigoted thinking is your way of life, more grease to your elbows. Just remember that all of us were raised different.

I have nothing more to stay. Think progressively and open up your mind. I'm not saying Ndigbo has to go out there carrying sticks and stones and start rioting. Infact, I rather their approach of sitting at home, that way no-one catches a stray bullet in the streets for such a worthless country. Its okay to not do anything, But, its another thing to make this Irresponsible Government feel that they are doing something right after draining the Treasury account of over $80Billion in under a year, putting Nigeria in $39billion debt now they say they want to eat  N1billion meals and read N500million newspapers. . . .oh, and the First Lady is renovating her Office for $50million----an office that is not recognized by the constitution. Vice President is renovating his own office for between $75-120million. . . . .  Do you now see where my gripe is with this Govt?

If this useless Govt felt the pressure from all corners, trust me, they would have reversed this insensitive policy a long time ago. But, in usual form, they've succeeded in using Nigerians against themselves; classic divide and rule.

If you want to sit home & not do anything to stop the suffering; thats fine. No, problem. Don't think about the future of your kids, just look at every issue through tribal lenses---- those damn Parasites looking for free oil money, abi?----- while GEJ and his chronies smile to Western Banks buying Chateaus with money that belongs to you and should have been used to provide you with the most basic of amenities. GEJ, OBJ, IBB, UBA don't know tribe when they're sharing out those juicy contracts amongst themselves, trust me.

Its so sad how blind, people with eyes, can get! Very sickening.
