A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said:
"No, Dad. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.

"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.
"If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping continued to walk.

A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.

The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother tagged him along, hurried but the kid stopped to look at the violinist.

Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.

In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the top musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written,with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.

Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston and the seats average $100.

was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty?

Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context?

One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

Here's a thing about love:
Fake love intentionally waits to receive. By all means fake love will make notice to everything and everybody that they are waiting for something. They always expect something from you.

Real love on the other hand generously gives and gives no matter what the circumstances are because real love just wants to give whatever they can in order to make that other person happy and feel loved.

Reminiscing.
Sometimes, you can’t help but look back to how things used to be. I know digging up old scars and memories are painful. But it’s what makes us stronger. It helps us realize why things happened the way it should. And to remind us in the future not to make the same mistakes we used to.

Be happy for fireplaces and bonfires. Fire can be dangerous, but when controlled it is warm and fun to be around. The fire creates heat that radiates throughout your entire body and creates for an excellent atmosphere!

Don’t waste your time on someone who does not appreciate you the way you should be appreciated. Don’t ever settle for mediocrity, for being just an option, for being the one who is just fun to be with, for being the one who is always there desperately waiting, for mere concern or pity or for someone who likes you just because s/he knows s/he's got the power to break you. Don’t settle because deep down, you know who you are and you know without a doubt that you deserve better if not the best.

Take time to listen to your heart. Sometimes you need not to ask yourself who you love more but ask who really makes you happy, makes you feel loved and knows your worth.

What exactly am I waiting for?
No matter how many times I look, I won’t find him there. He won’t come. So why do I anticipate? This is the reason why I dislike growing feelings for someone. I don’t want that feeling of not knowing. Not sure what’s going to happen next, or not aware about what the other person is thinking… This uncertainty is driving me to my limit, and this was the sort of position I promised myself I was never going to be in, again and again
