My water broke yesterday around 9pm d color was slight green, no strong contraction up till now just dull backache n tighten abdomen, my edd was 10th & 12th. Worst part is I'm far away from home went for a party yesterday on Saturday n couldn't return home though I'm on my way to the hospital now which will take about 3 hours. Pls mamas pray 4 me n my lo. If there is any advice kindly drop it. Thanks everyone.

Hello, that's the mucus plug. Labour might not start immediately (i still didnt go into labour 12 hrs after i lost my mucus plug and water broke, the had to augment labour after 14hrs)but i'll advice u go to the hospital and not take chances.

Are you sure it's not normal discharge most pple here experience? Since no contractions yet, I suggest u just wait for further signs, labour may not start immediately the mucus come out. It may take some time. If the main thing start, no be pesin go tell you.

Get yourself to the hospital as soon as you can to avoid infection. It will surely end with praise.

Not everyone experiences a bloody show. Some are tinged with blood yle odas are not. Is d discharge catarrh-like? Like a big glob of catarrh? If yes, den dts ur mucus plug.

Contraction in most cases does not start as soon as u loose ur mucus plug. Some takes a whole day, odas few hrs. Just watch out 4 contractions, dts d Koko. Except ur doc tells u odawise.

Dnt fret dear, God is in control. We are waiting 4 d GOODNEWS. My advice is even if you have d urge 2 push, dnt until u get 2 d hospital

Amen. Just go about ur normal activities (in d house o, i no say make u comot). D contractions will come wen u least expected it. God is in control.

Its ur mucus plug, coming off small small. D main show is blood stained. u may wish to wait for contractions to set in. Hope ur hsptl isn't so far off. If nothing happens by 2mrw, u can just go to d hsptl to b checked since its ur first.

@kendrallmai, guess u re in d hospital nw.Since ur water has broken, e don b, b dat.Labor ll set in soon. Don't worry, it will end in praise. Ur baby's heartbeat shld b monitored closely(esp cos of dat greenish color). Follow ur DR's advice.

I know some are told it's blood stained... The actual color is pink.
It's comes out bits by bits or it comes out at once... Different for everyone. Sign of early stage of labor... Some experience water breaking after this, others don't(theirs get ruptured in d Hospital) and the some experience the urge to go to d toilet meaning the head don dey descend.

Not every one experiences terrible pain and vice versa. While it's not everyone that has short or long first stage of labor. Some 12 hrs it less others 24 hrs. Some don't even know they are in labour...
