which is 2000-2002 MY camry.

It's like I will practise with this road a friend of mine has done 200kph with his 04 Honda Accord i4.
Ps: @greenhulk Honda Accord was above even 5000rpm, diesel engines are they that good for speed, I'll leave that for another thread.

FD ratio means Final Drive ratio which is a part of a power transmission between the drive shaft and the differential. Its function is to change the direction of the power transmitted by the drive shaft through 90 degrees to the driving axles. At the same time. it provides a fixed reduction between the speed of the drive shaft and the axle driving the wheels.

In layman's term, this is the ratio of power transferred to tyres (either front rear or both) which then translates to torque and motion.

In sports cars, the drive ratios are closer so as to engage frequent gear changes while the RPM of the engine is in its power band
for ordinary driving
and moderate performance use. Wider gaps
between ratios allow a higher 1st gear ratio for
better manners in traffic, but cause engine speed
to decrease more when shifting. Narrowing the
gaps will increase acceleration at speed, and
potentially improve top speed under certain
conditions, but acceleration from a stopped
position and operation in daily driving will suffer.

Lomomike explained what a final drive ratio is.

So I'm starting to believe that you guys are really still behind the times (no offense meant but it what it is) and don;t do a much upgrades as I thought even though yah all have all the fancy cars available.

You can't compare a diesel engine to a gasoline engine as the torque the diesel makes is outstanding at low speeds, hence why bigger vehicles uses it.

So in my opinion you have to takes into account whatever changes might/may have been done to the final drive ratio (something not easily change admittedly but could have been done).

So you can't go by the speedometer alone to decide which is the superior car.

By the way theres another method to check the FD ratio, it's by measuring the rotation of the tires but it complicated for me.

I almost pee as I forgot uncruise, with fear i braked and it uncruise. Henceforth that speed was a child play, recently less that 2 months I drove 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ S 350 @ 225Km/h(digital) same road at around 3AM with less fear for 10 minutes. In Ikorodu my highest speed is 30km/h. SPEED IS GOOD IN A CAR YOU KNOW AS A GOOD DRIVER AND IT KILLS.
