It seems like they've successfully uploaded their wuru wuru written results to IReV. Only complete automation of the process without humans-in-the-loop can save you people.

Jokes. How can a system be without human intervention?

Is it not humans that will manage the process at the polling units?

We can do better as Nigerians. Let's stop this exploitative behavior and treat each other in fairness. How can someone work and you pay the person 55k? Doesn't she have her own bills to pay ? An elitist school o not even a government school. Gosh! A teacher deserves the best salary in nigeria. It's not fair.how can you be saying she should accept poverty wages? Money that some men give their side chic as payment for sex for one night na him una wan give teacher. Make una dey fear God

Which elitist sch? With sch fees of approx $180 per month. Please don't make me laugh. cheesy

School of 294k...

ELECTRICITY;
Give and take , they would spend PATA PATA 700-800k on NEPA bill monthly.
I've worked in a hotel , constant light...we were paying NEPA 500k every month.

I don't see how a school that doesn't operate at night should pay higher self.

SECURITY;
A school that is willing to pay it teachers 55k...how much do you think that smelling school will pay security workers...

They would not even spend more than 35k each .. probably just 3 guards.

TAX;
This is Nigeria, Many businesses and people evade tax...take it or leave it...they are either paying little or nothing.

WATER;
Don't be Stupid , even on my street , one man just opened like a tank for free water for people to fetch and do whatever they like...he's not even a wealthy man...just every day guy...what I'm saying is WATER is no big deal... How much water the children wan consume.

FUNDING & MAINTENANCE;
Listen and listen good... A beautiful and good looking school without it teachers giving dia best is nothing... Maintenance should go to the welfare of teachers for christ sake... Without them, the school is rubbish.

It's obvious you are not yet at the management level of any entity.

A lot of people justifying the small pay smh.

A teacher that gets paid that rubbish will teaches your child rubbish, and you will still pay good money to the school for that rubbish being taught by the teacher

You all are still missing the point. A sch can only pay what their financials can carry.

We have schools in High brow areas that the sch fees of a student is the total inflow of some other schools.

There'll always be different quality for different services/products and people all over the world goes for the option they can afford.

Neduzoma123456:
Below is an example of a school worth fees of 30k

100 students pay 30k = 3,000,000
10 teachers gets 70k = 700,000

10 students per Teacher (very realistic, don't argue)

A term is usually 3 months...School fees is paid once...Total monthly salary of teachers would be 700,000 x 3 months..that gives us = 2,100,000

What stops schools from applying this.

Then imagine a school of 290k as fees paying cheap 55k for labour ...like seriously...THIS IS WRONG!

it just pure wickedness...most School owners and Business owners in Nigeria are cruel...SIMPLE... They only want to use you dry.

Why are you clowning like this na. Teachers salary is the only sch cost?

This is a beautiful submission, please go and set up a sch with this template.

bro, you don't have a point at all and you sound like you are one the school owner that exploits your employees and you are enjoying all these simply because we have a weak labor law...

He has a point! Only people that do not run businesses talks like the lady.

Why can't she go and setup a sch with few of her other graduate colleagues and let them be paying themselves 80% of what the children pay as fees and let's see how far they'll go.

There are so many expenses being drawn from that same fees on a monthly basis. Whereas, Payment of school fees is on a 3-month basis.

A few include:
Rent
Utilities
Maintenance (consumables inclusive)
Admin expenses
Medicals (staff and material)
Payment of non-academic staff
Payment for licenses
Govt taxes
Emergencies,etc

If it's easy, let her go and set up hers.

and so?! i dont get where the problem is.
if someone offers you a job, if you dont want it, you say no and jejely walk the fukc out... but dont pretend that because children pay 200k for school fees, you can dictate how much you deserve as a teacher in that school. thats what the school is offering, take it or leave it! so you mean that if they were schooling for free, then you would also work for free?!

stop looking at other people's finances... in order to try to lift yourself up, as you dont know what they spend that money on:
- are you paying the rent for the building?
- are you paying the electricity/equipment used in that school?
- are you paying for the free food that these kids possibly get?
- are you paying for all the extracurricular outings and activities that these children learn?
- are you paying the salary of all the other staff and owners of that school?

In addition, all staff (Academic and non-academic) are paid monthly. Is sch fees paid monthly??

CLASSIC IRONY

In your shit-hole of a country, people can terrorise, threaten, hate, maim, stab, kill, as they like here in Nigeria & go scotfree
...But
Hypocrites in Nigeria are looking up to another country to serve justice in far away Canada for Dem, calling for the head of an innocent Amaka, who was responding to all the hates & threats & crimes & terrorism against NDIGBO!

How else do u describe CLASSIC IRONY!

Amaka should defend her rights with plethora of evidences (video, audio, social media handles/texts, etc) (hates, crimes, threats, terrorism, et al) online from Remi, Oba of Lagos, Bayo Onanuga, Lagospedia, Mc Oluomo, etc... & claim she acted under duress, helplessness & frustrations...that fg/BAT didn't care & in some cases NDIGBO were denied voting, shops burnt, persons killed, etc..that would suffice... This is EMPIRICAL!

Hypocrites seeking justice from another country while back in their country they're swimming in pool of terrorism, crimes, hates, etc. CLASSIC IRONY!

Quite unfortunate, but the law does not allow self help.

You cannot justify crime and lay the accusation on the actions of another person. You should have instead reported the other parties to the authorities instead of taking the laws into your hands.

By the way, why should you call someone calling for the poisoning of people innocent?? Innocent of not what?

You don't understand. What she did was political. Some politicians don't want LP to win the coming elections in Edo since the party is very strong there. So, this woman was contracted to make those threats so that the Binis would hate the Ibos and not vote for LP. It is the general belief that the LP is an Ibo party.

Your take on this makes sense. Therefore it is politicians that are pushing most of these bigotry for their selfish interests. They just play on peoples inherent bias.

It's a good thing she's condemned and arrested. In the future, people will think twice before making themselves available for the use of politicians.

First of all it is wrong to call him a fintech chief, he is just a fraudster and all his business ideas are rubbish.

But why would a judge fine someone who has no dollar to his name $250M??
These US judges sometimes are so useless that you begin to wonder if they really mean this or is it to make headlines.

They punish in respect to what the law prescribes. If you can't pay, file for bankruptcy. When you commit the crime, be sure to also read the range of applicable punishment.

Firstly, not all private sector are paying exploitative bills to DISCO, some have gone independent. Example is one of those mega churches.
Secondly, it is not a must for me to allow DISCO to exploit me just because you allowed yourself to be exploited if I think I can have options. How many goverment institutions can even sustain the payments?

How much is the independent per KWH?

Yes but a vague report does not rule out that possibility. Someone brought out that angle, which is normal in any discussion forum.

If it's not an estimated bill, then a court case on that obviously won't be an option towards resolution.

There's nothing like estimated billing for a maximum demand consumer like Unilag.

Why can't they install prepaid meters for them long time ago so these big debt will not arise in the first place. Unilag will be reluctant to pay that money because they are not even sure whether they actually consume that electricity or not, since it is estimated billing. The Disco just estimate what is favorable for them and gave it to Unilag. How will Unilag pay that kind of bill

How did you arrive at the conclusion that it is estimated bill??

Now even govt agencies are struggling to pay. Universities here and there cannot pay. We even read the story of Kaduna government house. Lol

Govt agencies should know the era of cheap electricity is over. They should pay up just the way I'm paying.

They should go solar powered just like universities of Benin. All tertiary institutions in Nigeria should disconnect from DISCOs and embark on solar powered generation.
University of Benin has led the way, others should follow too. They don't have to do it all at once because of the lack of fund but start doing it bit by bit, they will eventually reach there. Benin university called for help, money donations from the public and people showed love to the institution.
It doesn’t make sense for monthly electricity bill to jumped from 50 million naira to 200 million naira

Setup cost is also not free. They have to pay. Someone that cannot pay 200m monthly but want to setup solar.

For the energy loads of a place like Unilag, I won't be surprised if the setup cost for full solar power will not be up to 3billion naira or more.

The private sector is paying the crazy bill. The govt also should pay!

Tunde Ayeni should be in Jail for the mismanagement of this Ibadan Disco.

CBN borrowed Discos money to improve their infrastructure, Tunde Ayeni carried the money and borrowed himself, saying Ibadan Disco borrowed Integrated Energy a significant part of the money. Integrated energy owned by himself.

This same Tunde Ayeni, the GEJ regime sold Yola electricity Distribution company and Nitel (NTEL).

He messed up both entities.

The same man was the Chairman of Skye Bank. He messed up the bank.

That he's not in jail shows that we are not serious as a nation.

AMCON is now using public funds to bail out his mess.

And it is also Interesting to note that it was this same man that donated a whopping 1billion to the GEJ campaign.
