David is just a typical agbadox. British government didn't invade Igboland because of slave trade. Same excuse they use in America that the North fought the South because they wanted to end slavery in the South. Another example, Nigerian government fought Biafra because they wanted to help SS, Lol, when we all know it was all about resource control. Likewise, British government at the time wanted to gain control of Igboland, Aro Confederacy was an obstacle to them, because it was the strongest pseudo military force Igboland and Ibibioland had to protect them from external forces. So, after several failed attempts by British government to conquer Igboland, they had to use the excuse to end slave trade by Aro Confederacy to bring in their military equipment. Wasn't about ending slavery that they started, it was about regaining control of slave trade from Aro Confederacy, who had sole control of the slave trade industry in present-day Easterm Nigeria and had cut British out of the equation.

Excuse? In those times, nobody needs no excuse to conquer others.

Igbo is topic everywhere. Please Igbo is not the only tribe in Nigeria. Focus on burning issues. Nigeria is collapsing right in front of us and we are busy talking about tribes! Anyways, social media is far from the real world!

Because some are always to forward. It was a different thing Hundeyin was talking about before the usual chest beating and too much talk introduced tribal dimension to the talk.

David then went full in and now you are complaining. Didn't you notice David's tweet was a response to someone?

Water corporation has always serve as the alternative road to the rolled Lekki epe express, and cannot be used an highway.

Besides, having a 10 lane highway on water corporation will hamper the ease of access to businesses backing the beach.

Landmark is not the only beach on that axis that will be affected by this road.

You have never been to that axis, this is why you're making this all about landmark beach alone. All the beaches within that axis will be affected.

Same thing I just opined.

A lot of them just joined the bandwagon in shouting Landmark up and down. They are not familiar with the place.

Sand filling of the Eko Atlantic City is an ongoing project. There's always sand filling going on there everyday. When it will get to landmark is when I dont know but it will eventually get there.

It is when this sandfilling started that Landmark was able to implement some amusement installations on this their water front as it significantly cut down the tides.

Yes, another International Airport will be built in Lagos.

That is the Lekki International Airport.

The Airport will be linked to this coastal highway, and it will be bliss connecting to this Airport from Lagos Island.

Lagos coastal road, fg coastal road side by side, does it make sense?

Tinubu will not be there forever!

Yes it makes sense. A super highway is not supposed to be used as service road.

That is the problem we keep making in our urban development.

Just like the Ikorodu Road and its dual service lane, that is how all highways passing through urban areas should be designed.

For example, the Lagos Ibadan Expressway. From the Sagamu interchange, there's supposed to be another service road running parallel to the highway.

This service road is a state road.

This is also noticeable on the Lagos Badagry express way. There should be a distinct service/state road different from the superhighway to limit disturbance to flow of traffic on the highway.

It’s a fallout of the post election hate and cutting to size of an ethnic group.
No one wants to say it. You heard from me!!!

So the other properties belonging to other tribes affected is not cutting to size?

The beach resort recently commissioned by Lagos Governor in this same axis that is also affected is not cutting to size?

Only the one belonging to your tribesman is cutting to size.

He's one of the best governors in Nigeria.

He is emerging as one of the best ministers of works.

Just because he refused to submit to primordial sentiments, you are heaping inconsequential hate on him.

Peter Obi is a tribalist and has always been right from his time in Anambra as governor.

1. If he is not dividing his fellow ibos like the way he deported Ebonyi people from Anambra in 2011 or did not allow non-anambrans to contest in any election even for leadership of market positions,

2. he would pitch them against other tribes like he tagged Ngige a Yoruba candidate during the governorship election in Anambra in 2013

3. and if he can't find a way to divide with tribalism, he would divide people along religious lines like the Anglican vs Catholic fight he created in Anambra.

He was also a principal agent that amplified the issue of the transfer of Anambra destitutes by Fashola back then.

He was the one that made the issue to be looked at from tribal angle.

My Own is has the road construction started?

It's like they were in a hurry to demolish landmark.

Let's face it, I believe its time outsiders stop investing in Lagos.

Likewise they should stop taking Niger Delta Oil to Lagos.

Since only yorubas can vote in Lagos, our Oil should also be excluded

So road construction should start with obstructions on the way?

For your information, it has started from the start point, they need to clear the Landmark beach front to continue construction to the place.

Of course it was obvious you are not living in Lagos. Millions are still here and will always give support to any govt intervention at building roads that will ease traffic.

Anyone that do not fancy the idea of building new road corridors are free to keep crying all over the Internet.

In this Nigeria, I make bold to say there's no road construction or road expansion that did not involve demolishing of people's properties. None!

All the current roads we are using, some people paid the ultimate sacrifice. I've not seen that road that was constructed without affecting personal property. I do not know why some people feel this should be different.

The so-called 4th mainland bridge even, it has been said that thousands of houses will have to go for it.

All these fools making noise are ignorant of the situation in that area before Tinubu. I still remember the ocean surge that was constantly flooding the area back then. It was Tinubu that turned the tide and created Eko Atlantic in the process.
That's a visionary man.
Without the barriers and Eko Atlantic, there wouldn't even be Lnadmark in the first place.

Amadu Bello Way used to be flooded and the guest houses that used to be on that road were being abandoned one at a time. I know because I used to rent some of the rooms back then when on Holiday to Nigeria.

May God continue to bless Tinubu and may God continue to bless Nigeria.

Have you gone to Landmark beach before? If yes, you'll notice a barricade to the main ocean.

It is this barricade that makes it possible to swim in this end as it reduced the tides from the ocean.

And sadly, sandfilling for Eko Atlantic phase 2 is supposed to start from this sandfilling towards the mainland.

So for people that have knowledge of this area and the planned works, either coastal road or no coastal road, Landmark is destined to lose the ocean front and they are aware.

It's obvious you do not live in Lagos. Super highway should start from outskirts and people should squeeze to leave and enter Lagos.

Landmark should build a big swimming pool/ water parks there. Continue business .

People are just arguing blindly. The facilities in Landmark especially the event centres are the real deal. No other place except Eko Hotel offers such spaces. They make a lot of money from these properties.

The super highway going in front of the place is a big plus as it gives it more visibility.

You are the one that doesn't have sense. These guys have done their projections into the future making room for expansion into those uninhabited cities. even Morocco is doing the same. In Nigeria's case no one is crying here due to tribalistic sentiments, it is selfishness of the people in power to still keep people leaning towards Lagos instead of opening up everywhere. We have ports littered all over SS why can't the FG expand them to the capacity of Tincan and Apapa? why not fix or create roads that link from the hinterland to those ports littered all over the south. My friend you are not only a joker but a senseless person.

So in your chicken reasoning, it's only China that is permitted to make projections? You are too dull to make your own projections, which is even to an already thriving zone with viable opportunities.

You are obviously an idiot, who should never go near public administration.
