That's the same thing I'm saying. Worst enough, the MMM stuff breeds laziness among youths who are craving for quick returns.

All I know is that Nothing Good Comes Easy.

Since the creation of man, I have never seen where people make gain without working for it. And since the advent of Mavoradi whatever...came into Nigeria, I haven't been a proponent of MMM and I will never wish to be no matter the amount of money people are making from the scheme.

Its very annoying what nairaland has really turned into in recent years. Someone just seek for a simple advice and you guys are here telling him rubbish.

If you don't know what to type or you don't have a meaningful contributions to make, you shut your gob rather than making a sheer display of your ignorance on nairaland and don't quote me to type rubbish cos I won't even read whatever that you type.

Back to the topic: Op, 500k is not too small to start up a business and its not that big to hoist a sustainable business. But the good thing there is that it can make a headway.

Bloke, this is discouraging. Mr Op needed just a simple advice and you're here discouraging him.

GossipHeart:

80k is nothing

Just continue saving it

I know exactly what I'm saying because i have millions of naira and have done any type of business but in this Buhari government, everything is a disaster

The only profitable business is real estate and 80k can't even buy you a land

3Rewrite Your Major Goals For Financial Freedom

Set financial goals for yourself.

Rewrite and review your goals on paper every day and think of how you could accomplish them. This will take you between five and ten minutes. The very act of writing and rewriting your goals, and thinking about them each morning before you start off, will increase your chances of accomplishing them.

2Begin To Think Positively About Money

Part of becoming rich involves thinking positively about money.

Thinking negatively about money is an emotional obstacle that you must eliminate in order to achieve financial freedom. You must eliminate the thoughts that having more money leads to evil or that money can’t buy you happiness.

When you begin thinking positively about money, you will attract opportunities and open up more doors than you ever thought possible.

Accept Full Responsibility

Every choice you make has its own consequences, some of which may cause damage to your wealth irreversibly. Hence, you must accept complete responsibility to secure your financial future. Understand that every decision and choice you make today will impact your life tomorrow. Therefore, it is essential that you evaluate all your financial decisions, purchases and expenses within the context of your long-term financial objectives.

Financial freedom is one of the most desired wishes anyone has, and it is so for a good reason. You can never expect when there will be a financial crisis, sweeping away all your wealth and income sources. As a result, educating yourself about the importance of financial freedom, as well as the means to achieve it is very essential.

Robert Kiyosaki, an eight-grade dropout entrepreneur and investor, is one of the most popular financial literary activist and commentators living today. His book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” is rated as one of the best personal finance books of all time, and in it he details many ways to achieve financial freedom.

Here are Robert Kiyosaki’s 10 Keys to Financial Freedom:

Family / Re: My Sister My Best (flashback: Short story) by BobUg28(m): 8:57am On Nov 19, 2016
Op, your story literally brought a nostalgic feeling to my memory. What you just stated happened to me when I was a kid. I was accused of stealing my step-mums' smoked fish not knowing it was carried away by a hungry dog. There's nothing I didn't do to prove myself right and it all failed to their deaf ears.

But the moment God intervened on my behalf, truth surfaced as the Dog which carried the closely knitted iron-basket was seen with the smoked fish half-eaten inside the basket.

Corruption

Corruption

Corruption

Sometimes, I ask myself what's the true definition of this corruption Baba Buhari has been fighting for the past 17months+.. ?

What exactly have we(the masses) achieved/benefited from the so-called fight against corruption?

Does things seemed better now that our government could be termed as being 'Transparent'?

Honestly most times, things that are happening in Nigeria now makes me wonder if it's a crime to be a Nigerian.

I saw this thread very late, I hope Op will get to read my post.

As for the topic: Madam, I like your personality and your kind of temperament. You type is very rare cos I have come across several ladies and unmarried young girls who always like to take control over their marriage and relationship and wouldn't tolerate any sort this shiit from any man no matter whom you are.

But the thing there is this...

Two wrongs can never make a right. Since you have talked to him about how you usuhouts on you in the public and he doesn't feel sorry about that, I'm of the opinion that you should report him to his parents( if they are still alive) and your pastor.

And most importantly, always put him in prayers. There's nothing too hard for the Lord to do. Sometimes, when he does this kind of a things like this, it's likely that he might be unconsciously being over-temperamental. Put him prayers and ask God to take charge over him

Last week, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Mr Udoma Udo Udoma, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari would unveil the government’s economic recovery plan next month.

What??

Did I hear you say Buhari would unveil his government's economic recovery plan next month?

What other economic recovery plan did he want to unveil? I have said this countless times. The only about this Apc government that appeals to me is their savvy use of the media. How can a right-thinking man, whose country is in a severe recession be talking about unveiling his government's economic recovery plan next month when he's supposed to take up a speedy action.

Sometimes I wonder if this man have human sympathy at all.

Uhmmm...Op, I won't say much. What you just said now is very peculiar to me and I can practically relate to it in some ways.

I know how bad you must have been feeling all this while and how depressing it could be when people who are supposed to help you are the ones who turned their back against you.

Naturally, your family (parents) supposed to be the people you can fall back to in times like this. But since reverse has now becomes the case, it's not the end of life. You only need to make up your mind and genuinely decide to make a change for good.

First of all, I will suggest you seek for the help of a pastor who will help you talk to Mum and Dad explaining to them all you have just said here. Thank God they are relatively enlightened judging by their quest to secure a better professional career privilege for their children.

Being open will help solve a lot of problems and I think that's where the basis of your problems lies.
