Business / Re: Buying And Selling Repossessed Cars And Foreclosed Homes by chukzyfcbb: 12:36pm On May 18
Seun:
Wow. Why don't they sell the homes at the correct price and refund you with the difference? Either the bank officials are incompetent or they are using this a a means to arrange easy profits for themselves or their friends and family members! How do you find out about repossessed homes that are about to be sold?
After reading a bit about foreclosures, I realized that some big banks such as JP Morgan chase and even wells Fargo participated in this fraudulent practice thanks to chatgpt

Using fake bidder's to buy property at incredibly low rate so they can repossess the asset and later resell it at the actual rate.

Unfortunately the borrower has no right to decide how the foreclosure or sell happens

Your use of the word "paranoia" is out of place.

If you read the thread well, you would see where someone (davit) suggested sim lock, and how I reacted.

The fact that someone else makes a lame argument that having access to my sim means having 90% access to my account, and I refute doesn't mean you should be quick to use wrong vocabulary.

His entire arguments are lame.
I lost my sim, and my money at GTB was entirely intact, that already proves his funny 90% argument as faulty.

You should be open to ideas as well, but smart ones, not just any ideas thrown at you. You have to be smart enough to sieve out the incoherent ones.
As somebody who is not in the field of cyber security, I would say you should be careful at what's obtainable out there today

You are looking at this from a microscopic view. When someone's SIM card is lost without a SIM lock, the opportunities are endless.

You are still focused on ussd. Have you thought that it could be used to reset your email account if you also didn't have MFA enabled.

Most people here do trading with apps that don't have MFA, that's also an avenue to reset their password with the OTp dropping in the SIM

Your reply may be, so how will they know what my email address is😁 and my response would be nothing is hidden on the web.

Harden all entry points and forget how an fraudster can take an advantage.
While you are focused on simlock, another fraudster is after resetting all your financial apps that do not have MFA enabled.

Bro your mind go touch ground 😁
Business / Re: How Adeduntan Resigned As First Bank CEO On Cbn’s Order by chukzyfcbb: 4:59pm On Apr 21
How can a CEO of a bank resign with immediate effect but when an ordinary employee attempts it, HR raise their heads about how you are burning bridges.

HR will expect you to give in 30 days full month notice, but the CEO of one of the most powerful banks in west Africa just dropped a resignation notice and bounced like it's nothing.

It's alright.

Even if yahaya bellow is guilty, why is efcc disobeying court order? Is this how we now want to operate within the country

The attraction behind landmark is the shores otherwise it's just another land mass filled with bars and restaurant on sand.

They will still function quite alright but the revenues will drop except he finds a way to create an artificial pool large enough for the people inside the land space

Thanks, funds have been returned to mmf as the waiting game already caused me a huge loss. I just don't like the back n forth of moving money. I also think that there should be a way fbnquest can bid for me without pulling out funds from my mmf portfolio to my saving account first?, has anyone ever done this before? Like giving instructions to move funds from your mmf for treasury's bill primary auctions.
It's not possible.

Queengee:
currently lives and work a 250k monthly Job in Lagos, recently I got an offer for a 500k job in portHarcourt so am still contemplating whether to accept the offer or not. I heard portHarcourt is very expensive compare to Lagos, so I don't want to make wrong decision.

Move o.

You can always come back to Lagos & guess what. The HR personel will be Benchmark the salary from the current 500k salary you are already earning

But if you decided to hold back, they will ask for your pay slip and the salary will be judged from your current 250k standpoint

So choice is yours.

PH more expensive than Lagos, how much be their accomodation wey e cost pass Lagos? You dey whine

I get tired when people keep using this excuse.

So there is nobody who is importing new goods at the current exchange rate of 1300+ to drive competition by lowering prices.

How long did the increase from 1200 to 1700 take to happen? Price has been crashing for the past 2 weeks now, isn't that enough time to sell up most of your stock wares.

Instead people are restocking goods at this new rate and still selling at the hiked prices, thieves!

For those who have invested in the secondary market, were you paid the interest upfront just like it's done in primary market

Or is everything held (capital + interest) till the end of the tenor?

I just pulled out funds from mutual funds to chase Treasury Bills. I mustn't miss from these juices.
Mutual funds is piss poor (MMF to be precise). They are offering between 12-13% when tbills is at 21%.

Investors in money market mutual funds should start considering tbills option asap and lock in those sweet rates for 365days before rate drops.

@Hogwarthtrades you are very correct.

For investors in mutual funds particularly MMF and fixed income fund note that any change in tbills rate or MPR will surely affects the funds since one of the major underlying asset for these funds is tbills but the change is not instant. It will take effect when revalution is done using the new rate.

One thing is sure, a positive change in tbills rate or MPR is a plus for all MMF or Fixed income investors but it's the opposite for equity investors/traders all things being equal.
The thing is the rates swing easily in MMF.
Yes it's 19% now, next two months it could drop to 15% and subsequently to 12% affecting the total profit

Whereas an investor in tbills will lock it down for the year

The dude that replace osihmen is better than osihmen by far, he must start the last match or you introduce him immediately after second half, we need an hungry players who want to market themselves to the world

I don't club, I don't keep large friends, I don't womanize, I am not fashion freak, I don't even drink yet.
