I am an interior design buff, and this is more of an arab style bathroom than any european or american design.
It has its roots in old world egypt, where maids bath you & preen you, whilst u dont lift a finger.
yea I could see the concept of that Arabian stuff like we see in movies but there are some extra stuffs in there that's seems too harsh on the eyes.

There is an air conditioner in a place where one will be in a hot steaming jaccuzzi.

The interior design of this bathroom doesn't seem classy one bit. it's too chooky!

How does a property that have rent value of 2m per annum worth 60m?
If it likes let it be on 1 hectare of land,no person with a working economic sense will pay more than 25m for it or max max max 30m!
Bad economics and emotional price tag undecided
haha this made me laugh.

Bros the real estate market in Lagos is very skewed.
Getting a property that yields 2m at 25million is hard nut even though I agree with your school tonight strongly.

I know a house that's up for sale now and it's pegged at 60-65m 5bdr house, the rent is not more than 2m max in that area as it's an old house and will need renovation to stay trendy.

issa crazy market out here

That was 5 years ago and I was new to the environment at that time plus I just left the boarding house, I’m fine with attending classes now but the only problem is being too shy to leave my room when I’m back.

At my workplace, interacting and establishing rapport with the customer is the most crucial part of my job cheesy, so I put all introvert features aside and summon courage but on some days I just beg someone to stand in for me grin.
ohhh....that's fine.

First post on nairaland since I registered smiley

I’m a bit jealous that some of you introverts are able to get into relationships cry.

I’m chronically introverted or you can just call me a recluse. Back where I grew up, my neighbors didn’t know I ever existed because they only saw my siblings and thought they were all my parents had lol. Got into the university and found it difficult going for classes or even leaving my room that one time I stayed indoors for 2 months straight and had my sister get me all I wanted. Years later, nothing has changed just that I have to be in school every day but after that I crawl back into my room.

Never been in a relationship because I’m not sure if I can cope in one and there’s nowhere a guy can find me to even ask me out grin. I’ve met a few though but I’m just not interested because I feel being in a relationship would be an invasion of my sweet quiet and private life.

Looking forward to making new friends here kiss.
That's rely extreme for you to find it hard to attend class.

How would you then cope in work if you are in a role that's customer facing?

Can you cope with a guy that call you and all she could say is "Hello babe", "How are you doing today", ﷼Have you eaten" I will call you back later.
Answer me please
What you have is not an unintelligent woman but a girl who has nothing going for her right now.

This is the same scenario with house wives, they don't have anything going for them, so the conversation is always the same routine.

If she is a student, dig deep and let her tell you what happen in school the good and bad stories (this may not work now coz of corona assuming she is a student)

Both of you can agree to check up a movie or a show so you have something to talk about, just something that will have you both talk and that way you can get to know how she thinks deeply.

What you have is a girl who is idle and probably bored.

Also you may want to reduce the frequency of your communication so you both can miss eachother a lil and have a lot to talk about.

it's usually when partners are always talking 24/7 that they run out of talk and start asking mundane things like "what are you putting on right now or what food did you eat and all that BS"

She isn't unintelligent sir!

October wedding, the bride created bridesmaid WhatsApp group since early August o, for us to choose style and all. She added the tailor too. The tailor was sending some complicated Beyonce styles , we all said noooo, please make a simple style, we sent simple and finer styles, this tailor refused, said the one she chose is what she will make . We should not worry, it will be fine... Sent tons and tons of measurements for us to do and send to her.

A day before wedding, we all went there early on friday, so that we can check out the dress and incase if there is any adjustments to do. We call tailor Taya, she didn't pick, waited for the tailor o in our hotel room, the bride called and called...for wherehuh She didn't pick, since morning

She came around 10pm. Rushed it with 2hefty bags...

So sorry I've been busy but the dresses are ready now, please if I call your name come for your dress.
Omo this woman remove dress and it was nothing close to the picture she sent, oversize, ugly, she hasn't even fixed the hands, just the body. She just made a gown with ugly flair without hand, same size for everyone, biiig grin grin

We all looked at ourselves in disbelief, wetin be this? shocked shocked
Don't worry the hand won't take long to fix, please everyone come and wear and let's see the adjustment to make . It's just to adjust and put the hand, it won't take long. She came alone o, no apprentice or someone to help her.

We all know say we don enter one chance, for God's sake the wedding is in few hours, and our dresses isn't ready yet? Since August?

Okay now lemme burst your bubble, she told the chief bridesmaid she would bring her dress in the morning for her, guess what? She never even cut am grin grin grin God is my witness I'm not making this up grin grin

Okay start the adjustment and fixing of hand, let's use the whole night to fix this..she said she will come first thing the next morning, that she need to rush home. Hmmmm gave us all the nonsense assurance.

We started calling this woman from 5am in the morning, the makeup artist came, did everyone makeup, no cloth to wear, chief bridesmaid don't even have any hope atall, nothing,
6am, 7am, 8am almost 9 before she rushed over, sweating, service starts 10:30.
The bride was ready, dressed and all, nobody to follow her, not one single soul, we were all tying wrapper, she started crying, deep tears, cursing the woman, she was hoping that atleast one person gown among us will be ready, so the person can follow her to church to help adjust her gown, veil and help with all the general help bestlady do give... no one was ready o.. makeup ready but nothing to wear. Omo this bride was saaaaaaadddd, we had to drag her out of the room before pesin go faint.
the bride's people were downstairs, waiting for her to come down because service go soon start.... iyawo where are you, we are late ooo come ooo

The tailor didn't even touch our dress, she brought out the chief bridesmaid material and was cutting and recutting

Omo this Tori long ooo
omo this one mad o, if na my sister Dem do this one. I go first sand her one for face make she dey cordinated.

Of all days you decided to fuckup, it's the day the whole family and friends of the bride will be there, nah nah nah

Ok, before we go any further arguing blindly, how old are you? I have trained 2 children through University, how many have you trained?
How many 45 - 60 year old men do you know?

The world is a dynamic place, constantly changing and so the rules that applied 50 years ago no longer applies today. Marrying a woman today without looking at her PROVEN economic capacity will send the man to his early demise or old age full of regret and bitterness. Before you respond and insult me please please go and ask older men in your family or community.

Why do you think MARRIAGE has completely collapsed in the advanced countries? Do your research, it's already in Africa. Go and see what is happening in the Northern Nigeria.

A woman without economic value is NOT a marriage material in the 21st century!
Marriage is collapsing because we have deviated from the natural norms.
Both parties don't know their roles anymore.

Mehn want women to join them in bringing home the bacons and th eggs while still demanding full respect

Women want mehn to join them in tidying the homes, doing dishes and still be the same Loving man she knew..

Both parties cannot live by both terms and then quarrel builds up which leads to divorce

Shut up there. I have 2 daughters, 1 is already a finance professional and the other will become a doctor by fire by force. None of them is going anywhere to massage some idiot's ego by being an obedient wife- otherwise I will scatter the marriage myself.

Shut up, it is not a man's job to be feeding his wife in the 21st century!!!!
First of all it's your job as a man to feed your wife and your family, a man who doesn't do so is worse than an infidel says the holy book and you can argue till Jesus comes it doesn't change t he fact.

Secondly, the title is different from the nonsense you are oozing out. the title is putting a preference on men to go for women who make money.

what if she was unemployed at the time, what if she is still a student or just graduated, what if she lost her job at the time, what if she lost all in her bizness all at the time of meeting her, would you use because of that and dump her, simply because she makes no money

Having a wife who works is a good thing! That way both of you have something to talk about, there is some intellectual discuss. Besides you want a woman who can contribute to any investment ideas you come up with and can handle investment deals while you are not there.

But the fact remains , a woman who works shouldn't be a criteria for choosing a wife.

As the Man it's your role to teach your wife, cultivate her and bring the good out of your family. Everybody has things, ideas they are interested in including she, you can bring it out of her and nuture it if only you are not so focused on her pocket.

However, she shouldn't forget her primary role in the home.

This is my point
FamilyRe: Make Sure You Marry A Woman Who Makes Money by chukzyfcbb: 1:36pm On Mar 31, 2020
Nonsense.

Of all the qualities to find in a wife, it's money that's your major concern.
is that her primary responsibility as a wife?

Why have you decided to shift the goal post as a husband, don't you know the role of a man in the home is to be a provider ? That is your primary role!!!

It's your duty as a man to Provide for the family.
She may be working when you meet her or not but should never be a criteria for finding a wife.

If your plan is for your wife to share your bills in marriage, you have started your marriage on a shaky foundation!

No matter how small/little you make, bro own that shit! own those bills it's your responsibility. if she contributes it should be out of love not mandatory.

These things are not always fixed, and my home is am exception.

It all depends on the family you marry into
which is why it's always good for brothers to be United with thier families even in adulthood and have very good bond.

I lost my Dad years now, and yes I was expecting this situation of property tussel from his brothers at the time but I didn't receive any problems.

Infact they took my mom as thier own wife and made sure the loss of her hubby wasn't painful for her, i.e they handle her as if she were an egg.

Till date, I haven't heard any meeting or talk that says we want to take over this or that property. They grew up doing this together in Love and it stuck with their families.

The wife too also has a role to play in ensuring the brothers bond don't break even though she is now married to their siblings.

Ladies before you marry, better investigate the homes you are entering.

A United Christian family is what everyone should be looking out for.

What's worst is that, we have no cushion in our reserves to handle this shock and now we are fazed with low revenues.

Pull it out and do what with it? Would you rather prefer your money stays idle in your account than atleast yield something in these troubling times in a place that's relatively safe for you.

Covid19 is not a world war, businesses are still ongoing although at a slower pace, besides the money market is highly liquid, so if you need your cash anytime you can always request for it.

You are in a much more safer haven than those whose cash are strapped in things like Real estate.

It's not "luck". What stands you out, is your skill set, experience and your weave of programming architecture.

There are tons of programmers who just have the basic skill set (they fall in the category you described). They barely scrap through jobs because they're just basic. Just like any other job, you can't expect to just be basic and be getting tons of offers.

If you're programmer who has a blend of skillset, experience, mastered prog architecture, versatile in in-demand stack, you won't be needing any luck, you'll be spoilt for choice. On LinkedIn everyday, HRs are approaching individuals with offers by just going through their profiles.

There is a shortage of skilled programmers, the market is still under staffed.
Andela is pivoting business models to cater for Senior devs because that's what the market needs.

In Germany, there is an increasing need for experienced devs and they'll latch on you from anywhere in the world. Nigerians are been given offers week in, week out to relocate to Germany.

My colleague turned down a relocation offer to Hamburg because they did not match his pay demand. They had to match his demand before he put pen to paper. How many Nigerians have such opportunities to turn down relocation offer to a first world country? Guess what? This guy I am talking about, has ALL the skillset and stack plus experience to be able to bargain...he didn't need luck.
ofcourse, we all know someone who got whipped up from linkedln or somewhere abroad, it's not a news flash.

And yes if one keeps upgrading himself like I said, you stand to earn higher income. it's simply means you are more valuable than before.

However the notion I am reading here that if one picks up some scripting languages in 18months he can be on his way to 500k or 750k is far from reality. That sentence cuts across a very small data set in nigerja.

Success takes Time and Hardwork and that's my message.

Not to forget that some of these programmers or IT guys who earn close to 1million or more don't always know as much as you think they know.

They are not really the Ronaldo's of the industry or the Messis in the coding ecosystem in the country, some just found grace/luck to be at that position.

Bro guys are out there hungry and armed with skills waiting for the breakthrough that will land them these big bucks

Put them side by side with some of these programmers earning 1million and above and they will crunch them for dinner with knowledge.

And it cuts across other IT fields too not just programming.

Life isn't always white/black, it isn't always 1+1 = 2.

However I still maintain the fact that if one keeps advancing his knowledge in RELEVANT FIELDS that are in demand overtime he will hit the top

But it may take time and not as quick as most people are painting it to be (1yr/18mnths)

That's my point sire.
CareerRe: Have You Ever Been FIRED At Work? Share Your Experience! by chukzyfcbb: 11:51am On Mar 08, 2020
Just a word of caution to those who think the IT field is all rosy, you are in for a shocker.

for every 1 person who makes 750k there are 10 of them who is making half or lesser than that.

There are tons of guys out there with hands on skills in tech who don't even make beyond 100k. Be it in web development, Cyber security or Networking etc.

I see lots of caps in the comment section saying get this and that skill and you are on your way to big money in 1yr or 18months, that's not really true.

Sometimes it's just luck or grace whichever you call it, however one thing that's certain in life is that if you keep upgrading your self, your earning power will increase.

There are so many tech guys out there earning huge that don't really know as much as you think, it's all bout Time and chance.

Don't go into tech because you think you can blow by just learning HTML css JavaScript in 1yr or 18minhs, first you will be frustrated by the tech lessons and frustrated by the offers.

Do it because you love tech coz in this field you will Read the FVCK out!
You will keep reading till your brains bleed coz tech is always advancing smiley

A word of caution, it's not rosy out here even with your tech skills, be wise!
