You don't just grab certificates but target understanding the technologies. To be good in Network security and Cloud you have to be good in networking.

if you earn 2million annually then you should ATMOST i.e the EXTREME not be in a house that cost 500-600k otherwise you are living above your means. The lesser you can bring this number down, the better for you.

Networking in Nigeria and globally is dying!!! The cloud is F**cking them up. Startups are pushing all their resources to the cloud with little to no resources onprem thus making the demand for highly skilled networkers lesser.

I have a bunch of certificates I worked my a** for including CCNP so listen to me fam!!!
#I should never have gone the CCNP route so don't be like me

Instead if networking, focus on Network security and then pivot sharply to the cloud

The tools used to secure a network are still used by top leading organization who dont wish to move quickly to the cloud due to compliance reasons.

They say the cloud is someone's else computer, so some are still scared storing sensitive data in the cloud. So you need that router,switches and firewall knowledge fam

Once you have a good grasp of these network security, switch to the cloud asap!!!

It's a lot easier to understand how things are built and secured in the cloud if you have done it onpremises.

- Get your CCNA, (it can be done in 4-5months)

- Picking a Firewall (it's easier to learn one very quickly if your ccna knowledge is solid)

- Learn python (Mandatory, you will need it for almost any area now in tech to automate repetitive tasks either in the cloud or in networking)

- Switch to the cloud and learn how to build secure & resilient architectures (AWS is free for one year so no excuse). This skill is the most important coz this is the future.


#you will know the next skill to pick up by the time you are done with the above

For me I try to match my experience, skills and acheivements with the JOB description as published on the internet.

So if you want a front end developer with 2yrs experience that knows html css JavaScript and one framework as published on the internet


Then repeat to them that you know they seek a candidate that has xyz with x number of experience and this is an area you have honed for x number of years. You have extensive knowledge in frameworks like react and angular which you have applied in helping improve business revenue and increasing visibility. And you would like to apply these skill set in this role if you can be brought on board.

Once you show them that what they are looking for is in a guy sitting next to them.
Forget about the salary negotiation, coz u will have the upper hand.

Whenever I am sending a mail, I always bcc my alternate mail. I refer to it to be sure the main mail has been sent.

TO is the principal recipient of the mail;
CC is the secondary recipient of the mail;
BCC is the tertiary recipient of the mail.

When sending cc to more than one person, it is considered good practice to start listing the person's based on heirachy/seniority/relevance to the mail content.

If you are an employee I hope you don't do this when sending mails from your corporate email, otherwise when a fraud case happens that you know nothing about, when investigation starts you would be found culpable and have to explain why you BCC your private email.

Well, there was a gentleman I once had a crush on. What I noticed and loved about him was:

1) His dress sense : He had a good fashion sense and it was so good that, he 'd turn heads once he arrives. Be it casual or senator wears, he was always killing it. Clothes were always well ironed that you would see the lines perfectly. U 'd never find him wearing rumpled clothes.

2) His cologne : This particular one had girls hugging him most times. He always smelt fresh at any time of the day. Seems he invests a good amount of money on cologne and perfumes. 4) Beards, skin, nails and haircut : always neat and well-styled all the time. Never to be cut unfresh even for a minute. Nails well-trimmed and u can never notice eczema or pimples or even rashes on his face. I believe he spends tons of money taking care of that skin of his...

4) Humility : Upon all the associations, political career and whatever posts assigned on him, he treated people fairly and never degraded anyone. Even if he mistakenly says something annoying, he 'd apologize for everything. He was well-mannered and respectful.

5) Building himself spiritually, emotionally and intellectually : I got to talk with him for the first time, and it got me wondering who was his book plug. He had a vast knowledge about various things. Ask him anything and he 'd know an answer to that and give you concise points.

Although we didn't really connect that much, the little time I spent around him taught me many things.
