Nairobi capital of Kenya. It is one of Africa´s most modern cities and it lloks fine! However, it is a pity that it looks more modern than Lagos and Kenya hasn´t got any oil or natural gas!

Well, be on guard! SA is full of crime despite beautiful cities and you might end up being stabbed just for a mobile phone. Moreover, the Whites are very xenophobic towards (other) Africans and they think that the rest of Africa is "shit" and "hopeless" for good and they only write and speak very badly of us! So beware. the country is beautiful but the people are wicked and weird!
Travel / Re: Douala: The Economic Capital Of Cameroon (photos) by Constantin: 11:21am On Apr 18, 2007
Dear Constantin: Thanks for your post and inquiry, actually am not a camerounian, an Nigerian from Abia state, but I live and do my business here in yaoundé cameroun. The pictures you sent are all douala pictures, when I have a free time I will post yaoundé pictures for you ok?

Douala is like Lagos while Yaoundé is like former Enugu state or Abuja,is cool here, even the whether here is always cooled, because of the numerous mountains that surround yaoundé you will hadly feel your in Africa, because of the cooled, not too much though.

Yes Douala use to be very nice in the 70's and 80's till there was a political riot and the Citizens burn down many infrastructures including destroying the former beautiful roads, the old man thats the President who has been in power more than 27 years refuse to rebuild anything again in douala, hence thats way those roads are like that, but not all part of douala is like that though.

Cameroun is better than nigeria only in terms of constant electricity, constance water supply, and Security, business also is good here I mean that why we are .

Catch you later.

Thanks for your reply!

Cameroon´s currency is strong as opposed to our Nigerian currency, right? That gives the country some fiscal discipline.

I still have a few questions:

1.) Are many people in Cameroon speaking English or only French?
2.) Are there as many rich people in Cameroon as in Nigeria? Despite poverty in Nigeria, you can see big big houses for miles on end? Is that the same in Cameroon? What about the urban middle-classes in Cameroon?
3.) Are many investors coming to Cameroon? (Nigerian, French, Chinese etc.) and are Cameroonian open-minded people?
4.) And what about Cameronnian people, how are they like in general? Same like Nigerians or somehow different?

I would really be glad if you find the time to answer me those questions! smiley

I know that cameroon is Nigeria´s neigbour but I know very little of that country.
Travel / Re: Douala: The Economic Capital Of Cameroon (photos) by Constantin: 8:25pm On Apr 17, 2007
Thanks for posting those picture,Yes I live in yaoundé the political capital of cameroun, there is no way you can compare cameroun with Nigeria, nigeria is heaven to cameroun, even the poorest state in naija is more orderly and more beautiful than cameroun.

Echideme, are you Cameroonian? Well, Douala also has some nice buildings and places, but if you are from Cameroon, please can you tell me what happened to Douala, it used to be a nice and orderly city in the 70´s and 80´s or am I wrong?

And how is Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, is it better than Douala? what about entrepreneurs? Cameroonian people are also dynamic people like Nigerians I have heard! I´ve never been to your country but I would like to find out, please give me an honest reply! And what about tousrism in Cameroon, Cameroon is a nice country, it has a beautiful lanscape!

Hope you can answer me those questions! smiley

In June 2000, the government completed an IMF-sponsored, three-year structural adjustment program; however, the IMF is pressing for more reforms, including increased budget transparency, privatization, and poverty reduction programs. International oil and cocoa prices have a significant impact on the economy.

Travel / Re: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by Constantin: 9:07pm On Mar 20, 2007
ooohh please come on, Nigeria has so much to catch up in the entertainment sector. An ice-rink is nothing special nowadays, every emerging market of theis world has tons of those already.

Apart from that Naija needs malls, malls, malls, malllssssssssssss till you drop

cineplexes till you drop

restaurants , bars like in any part of the world

theme parks

more hotels , I mean good international standard hotels: wHERE ARE THEY IN NIGERIA; DON´T TELL ME THAT NICON hOTEL IN ABUJA OR ´DA EKO IN LAGOS!!

ALL THIS IS NOTHING SPECIAL!!!
IT IS TODAY´S STANDARD AND IT IS EVEN THE MORE SAD THAT OUR COUNTRY LACKS ALL THOSE FACILITIES. NIGERIA IS NOT NIGER REPUBLIC BUT THE SIXTH LARGEST EXPORTER OF OIL AND THE STRANGEST THING IS THAT ALL THE NIGERIANS THAT CRY WE DO NOT NEED ALL THIS "WESTERN STUFF" ARE THE FIRST WHO ENJOY THOSE STANDARD ENTERTAINMENT FACILITIES WHEN THEY TRAVEL ABROAD!

THIS COUNTRY CAN REALLY BE DISAPPOINTING
cry cry

ALL THIS IS NOT IMPORTED STUFF IT IS A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY THAT COULD CREATE MILLIONS OF DIRECT AND INDIRECT JOBS IN OUR COUNTRYAND IT WOULD ADD A LOT TO NIGERIA´S ATTRACTIVENESS. FOREIGENERS SPEAK BADLY OF OUR COUNTRY NOT JUST BECAUSE IT IS BADLY GOVERNED BUT ALSO BECAUSE IT IS A FUCKING DULL PLACE WITH ABSOLUTELY FAR TOO FEW ENTERTAINMENT FACILITIES cry cry cry cry

THE PALMS IS THAT ALL A COUNTRY THE SIZE OF NIGERIA CAN OFFER?
cry cry cry

WAKE UP NIGERIA WAKE UP THE WORLD IS NOT WAITING FOR YOU

RECENTLY I HAVE READ THAT ANGOLA WILL SOON SURPASS NIGERIA IN ITS OIL PRODUCTION TO BECOME AFRICA´S LARGEST OIL PRODUCER THE WORST OF THE STORY IS THAT ANGOLA HAS EMERGED OUT OF WAR 4 YEARS AGO AND NOW SOOOO MUCH IS GEETING BUILT

NIGERIA WAKE UP PLEASE!!!!! I BEG , oooooo
Travel / Re: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by Constantin: 10:14pm On Mar 16, 2007
Again one more of the countless pipedreams, no ice-rink, this would have surprised me. I would have jumped out of joy if Nigeria has its own ice-rink cry
Travel / Re: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by Constantin: 12:58pm On Mar 11, 2007
It is a good idea, however I wonder if it is going to bring any revenue with all the costs that have to be made with Nepa situation. Not many Africans like to (ice) skate, I guess is more a thing of the Western Society. That does not mean that it can't work with the right marketing and promotions it can even become a hype among the wealthy people in Nigeria.

Do you think that people in Kenya are not Africans? They have a olympic size ice-rink there and it is da´bomb, Ivoirians went skating already in the 70´s on a huge ice-skating rink in Abidjan at that time. Do you think that Arabs who are Beduins (nomands desret people) are made to take their snowboards and enter an ENTIRE SKI WORLD WITH SLOPES AND LIFTS??
Do you think that South East Asians are made for ice-skating? Same temperature like Naija but you will find many ice-sakting rinks all throughout Asia, even India opens up and you will even find ice-sakting rinks there now. grin grin grin

We no longer live in the 50´s but in the 21 century. wink winkLET´S OPEN UP A BIT! (Taht doesn´t mean to throw away our own culture), We have to integrate the Best of the West and retain our own culture smiley smiley kiss

OK, having said that where are the pictures? We are all still waiting or was is just one big joke?

Travel / Re: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by Constantin: 12:28pm On Mar 07, 2007
Ohh please stop talking nonsense and telling lies! An ice-skating rink in Naija where NEPA takes the light more often than it restores it! It would instantly melt away and people from outside will enter with their buckets in order to fetch the freshly melted ice (water) for washing clothes outsides, we all know how Nigeria works, ooo!!!!

Tommorow you will tell us that A Dubai-like snowdome with slopes and skiing lift has opened right in the middle of Lagos.

yall are hilarious. The construction for the Theme park that will also feature "Africa's First 7 star hotel". Two mega shopping malls, ciniplexes, two Tv broadcasting studios and more, oh yeah I forgot the housing estates that will be of great standard but will be made affordable to the Average Nigeria. The project is in conjuction with Paramount, and African American investors have also showed their interest in this mega project. The size of the theme park is remarkable and can be sized up to any theme park in the world. If you don't feel safe in this theme park when it's completed then you can apply the concept and not feel safe in any other theme park. This project is a reality Wink

I can´t wait to see that project come true!
