Family / Re: Should I Stay With My Parents And Invest Or Should I Leave? Advice Needed by echelon(m): 10:02pm On Jul 11, 2019 |
My advice is to stay for now. If you're to leave let that be planned for (e.g. couple of years) and maybe at marriage. You should rather invest the money in your self: study, trainings, etc, in order to acquire more skills, sharpen existing ones and possibly get a better job/ change career or learn a trade. Best wishes. |

@Poster NO is my answer to the question. It's better to terminate the marriage proposal than to spend a lifetime with a woman that is not trustworthy. It's good this happened BEFORE rather than AFTER the marriage. |

Culture / Re: Is It Right For 2nd/3rd Daughter To Answer ADA by echelon(m): 4:12am On Oct 04, 2009 |
It's not bad the guy asked the question. "Ada" means daughter in Igbo. It's an alternative to "nwa nwanyi" which literally means "female child". Therefore, "Ada" can be used for any of a man's daughters. However, qualification of "Ada" with "- Obi" and "- Nna" gives respectively "Adaobi" and "Adanna" which are traditionally reserved for first daughters. @Poster, it's possible the parents in question are oblivious of this tradition or do not wish to honour it.
