never believed in the c.i.a. Predictions on nigeria disintegration than now our security forces have been rendered helpless the government seemingly admiting its incompetence the next options will most likely be external help which will lead to an occupation
Politics / Re: Elrufai Predicts Coup In Nigeria by emron1(m): 10:25am On Mar 25, 2012
while a coup is very much possible i don't believe it will solve nigerias problems rather it will increase them like it or not nigeria still has one of africas most stable democracy lets give it some time and i believe it will work.a coup will either take us far too back wards or even desintegrate the country cause nigeria as it is now has one of the most councious citizens in africa, and this situation could be likened with the fall of the soviet union while the citizens where fulstrated with the country or union some millitary elements tried to stage a coup and this led to the fall of a world power.

Education / Re: Imo State University Permanent Site Construction Pictures by emron1(m): 11:38am On Mar 24, 2012
pistol: Those pics looks pathetic.Universities are know for their landmark buildings not those classroom blocks that he is erecting. In the intrest of equity rochas should relocate the university back to mbaise.I heard that ideato dnt hv underground water with unfavourable soil and harsh climate
i am a very proud son of the great mbaise but i would prefeer having the perm site in awka than the current hell hole we have as a university provided the new one would be great.
Politics / Re: World Bank Presidency: Obama Rejects Iweala Nominates Jim Yong Kim by emron1(m): 5:23pm On Mar 23, 2012
she failed to convince the nigerian gvt. To cut it's spending rather they made her fall for their subsidy plan and yet she expects her self to be voted world bank head, how would she even make financial suggestions to world leaders when she couldn't do the same to her's. Kind of reminds me of gordon brown who wanted to be imf head when he finished ruining the british economy only difference was the fact that dave camron was inteligent enough not to nominante him whish jonathan where to be that smart.
Politics / Re: Abia State Government Sells Kerosene @ N50 by emron1(m): 4:00pm On Mar 23, 2012
each time i look at abia i get dissapointed cause unlike most of the states created at the time abia was quite developed in terms of trade and comerce and also boosted of one of the most industrial and commercial cities in nigeria but just like anambra it's major course has been terible governmance even imo which is its twin state is doing considerably well despite not having the same advantages as abia.
Politics / Re: Is A Female President The Only Hope For Nigerians To Witness Good Governance? by emron1(m): 7:09am On Mar 23, 2012
Riba_man:

Again, I disagree with your position. Are you going to compare the extent of damage that has been done to Nigeria by the menfolk, to what little mistakes some women have made. Another proof of why my position may not be as hopeless as you think, is the role women have played in the background, not in the foreground, of everyday Nigerian life.
i know you are a feminist and i don't have a problem with it.but what i will like you to know is that women have been in top positions in nigeria but are still yet to show us any difference with that of their mail counterparts largelly because we have a bad system in place and this will not allow good people to perform regardles of gender
Politics / Re: Is A Female President The Only Hope For Nigerians To Witness Good Governance? by emron1(m): 9:11pm On Mar 22, 2012
Riba_man: Let us admit that we have a Leadership problem. The sexuation of an office holder matters not. To those who have mentioned a handful of corruption tarred women in Nigeria, compare the number of the women mentioned to the horde of corrupt Nigerian men!
I will gladly vote a woman who looks likes she knows what she is doing, e.g Okonjo Iweala. We have tried the men since independence, let us give the women a chance as well.

In fact, the salvation of this country may lay in the beautiful Gele of a Nigerian amazon!
stop disivin your self as long as nigeria is controlled by a few cabal or clique any president will be nothing but just a mere popet. Kind of reminds me of ken sarowiwa who died thinking the problem of nigeria where the hausa igbo and yoruba, sure if he where to be alive today and see gej he would swallow his words.

Politics / Re: Awka Is Nigeria’s Least Developed State Capital by emron1(m): 12:48pm On Mar 14, 2012
if there is one state that nigerias unitary system has faled woefully it is anambra state. ordinarily if nigeria where to practice federalism anambra could easilly be the most vibrant states with two major cities outside it's capital, but today it has just like abia one of the least developed capital cities,it's major cities are still yet to receive any boost from the govt.

no it should you don't just come to s country to make money and take to your country, you just don't give shares to a few selected individuals and claim to have local participation you must list inthe nigerian stock exchange so nigerians can be a part of the owners of mtn not just exploiting us openly and then employ a few nigerians and come out and claim to have impacted on nigerians.

Politics / What Nigeria Needs Now Not New States by emron1(m): 7:01am On Mar 07, 2012
nigeria needs six of the geopolitical zones properly adjusted based on ethnic and religious lines to prevent the fear of dominance from the majorities for example the west shoul include all the yoruba groups in kwara and kogi while the igbos should have a region called east central state where all the igbo groups can be together wile the minorities in the south should have a state called nigerdelta and the minorities of the noth should have one called middle belt state for the mostly christian minorities in the north. All states should manage their resources fully and then pay 20 percent tax to the federal government.
Politics / Re: Do We Need New States In Nigeria ? by emron1(m): 6:49am On Mar 07, 2012
while i don't think it is necessary to create more we must admit that the current states structure is living some groups marginalized for instance in delta and crossriver states the anioma and ogoja regions have not been carried along respectively in the development of their respective states.and then other states also suffer from what i call conflict of ideologies like in kaduna where you have one region predominantly christian and the other predominantly muslim. So my suggestion would be either the creation of more states based on realistic factors or proper restructuring of the current state structure.
