Please don't FIFA go through the list before match for verification. I mean it's all in their bladdy database, how did they get to know. It doesn't excuse the incompetence of NFF though.
I will not advise someone with a very good paying job to leave Nigeria. But the reason that someone will give you for leaving Nigeria is to secure a better future for his family as in better medical care, education. To have regular light and water supply in Nigeria is like a privilege. These are basic amenities everyone should have access to affordably. You shouldn't have to go and dig ground or buy generator for this.
You can steal 43 million dollars and sleep comfortably at night or did they take the money as loan with intention of returning it later I don't understand.
Getting jobs anywhere irrespective of the country totally depends on your personality, skills and diligence.
Republic of Ireland has Facebook, Google, PayPal headquarters, hundreds of hotels, cafe's restaurants , Hospitals to mention a few. Getting any job should not be too difficult especially for casual jobs. However, for permanent career focused jobs- this involves strategic planning, having relevant degree but more importantly highly sorted skills.
I currently live in Nigeria so I won't be able to discuss extensively on transportation within and outside DUBLIN. Dublin is easily accessible via, buses, trains and trams.
Like all capital/MAJOR cities-e.g London, Abuja/Lagos , New york etc; accommodation will cost relatively higher as compared to smaller cities.
Any Nairalander living in Ireland should please contribute to this ....
*** Living costs in Limerick, Cork, Galway for 2017 was placed at EUR 7,000 for visa processing and EUR 11,000 for Dublin... If that helps.
We should BEAT Zambia in Uyo and be over with it. No room for draw please or wait for last game to qualify. Too much tension. Zambia can smell blood. They know they are still in it, all they need is a win in Uyo and they have our loss to south Africa together with the surprise away wins in the other groups to be inspired. Let's be prepared!!
Hi. You can check authenticity of your Dubai visa by using the ednrd link on the first post of this thread or as earlier mentioned by posting your information like others have done.
Thank you, now you just made a lot of sense, thank you again. Yes, the offer letter has break down for only transportation(1,200) and housing(3,600). But you do agree with me that a 2000 AED job also has these break down, I think the problem here is that you are still looking at the issue from the eyes of someone who is already familiar with Dubai, if I say to you "come to Japan to work and I will pay you 2000Y, 300 for accommodation, 400 for transportation", will you say because there is a break down you will just go? Or will you ask people if that is enough money to survive with?
Ramos... go on dubizzle, i believe the average annual rental price for a studio apartment in international city Dubai is 30000, you may be able to get less. That will be less than your 3600 monthly for housing. But most of these apartments are not new been around for a while. Studio apartments in IMPZ area can be leased on a one year contract for 36000. I believe these apartments are a lot better than the ones in international city.
You can as well try in Sharjah, the closest emirate to Dubai, rent is cheaper. If you are driving you can even try Ajman where rent is cheapest. One BHK in Ajman can be as low as 24,000 annual rent. But be ready to be endure traffic congestion on regular basis. As you can see rent is quite expensive in UAE.
On your 12k salary, it all depends do you have children reason why asking is because school fees here are generally expensive. If you dont have kids, then 12k salary is very adequate as long as you dont get caught up in the extravagant lifestyle of some here. And please avoid credit facilities.
Yorubest: Hmmm. Thanks for all the advise. I was wrong but there's nothing happening again. Although I used to talk to him fondly about my boss and things in the office which I'm sure makes him not want to trust me. My boss was also at my wedding and he gave us presents and cash which he is aware of.
What can I do now? The trust is gone.
Hi. First thing to do is resign from your job and cut off all contact with your boss then move on from there. You are putting your marriage at more risk if you continue working there.
rodDICK: hello nairalanders I'm in a dilemma right now and I need real advice. I do hope I get a very wise one because I haven't enough time on my clock. the mods can also help me to push this to FP because its my future at stake. I'm in a position where I don't know whether to continue schooling - MSc, or accept a job offer. after my BSc, I didn't want to continue on with my course of study because I realised I hadn't much passion for it, I went in to study mathematics because it came my way and at the time I couldn't say no to an admission. so after nysc, I went in to do a PGD in geography and environmental management. i already had love for the geosciences. came out with a good result that qualified me for a MSc in any of the related discipline. I applied for environmental hazard management and got the admission. at this point things became more difficult with the recession and it is clear to me that I won't be having any support. school fees has increased and the cost of running the MSc has gone high. on the other side, I've been applying for jobs as a HSE officer/manager which I have some years of experience working during the break within my programs. I just missed a job in nestoil because my guy in there didn't act fast to recommend me when there was emergency vacancy. however, because of the disappointment they have offered me a job as a HSE officer in a seismic company. they have asked me to come on Monday 30th January. by calendar I'm suppose to start MSc lectures on the same date. I have drained my brain thinking of what to do....whether to take the job and differ my admission perhaps, or to go on with the MSc and ignore the job for now... I know that a lot of you folks out there have been in a similar situation or you know someone who was. please your advice is needed, I don't want to make a mistake that I will regret...and I just have less than 2 days before the interviews on Monday morning. please mods help me get this to front page. I'm depending on their advice. this is my last resort. thanks
How much is salary? I think you take the job. With considerable amount of experience and taking short courses you will become manager in your field.
NONNYG: I wonder why people always prefer employment visa to 3 months visit, don't be lazy & allow the so called agents to extort u, come with visit visa and search for job yourself. I have heard all sorts of stories here in Dubai how people were decieved by the employment visa. Visit visa will only cost u the following:
Visa fee Flight ticket PTA (house rent, tfare & miscellaneous)
Then come with enough foodstuffs and few clothes also laptop to use for editing/sending CVs. Shikena
Exactly. Same thing I used to mention then. Agents will dupe and give job that pay peanuts after spending so much money to come to dubay.

etoman1: please how.is life in RAK? also isnit different from dubai? lol
can one easily get a job there with his 3months tourist visa? ? thank you
RAK is different from Dubai, its at the northern part of UAE after Ajman. I believe chances of getting a job there are limited compared to Dubai. It will be a good place to live if you have good job with nice pay. It is quieter than Dubai. Cheaper accommodation compared to Dubay.
I do not understand this draw. How can Nigeria qualify from this group.
Algeria, Cameroon and Nigeria all qualified for last world cup so how comes they are all in the same group. On what basis was the draw made, which teams were seeded
