Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Hits Gaza With Air Attacks As Tensions Escalate by grabdbull: 11:02am On Aug 06, 2022
It's always sad to see the innocent die in a conflict, but the aggressor in this case is not Israel.

Almost 24 hours ago, hundreds of missiles were fired into Israel.

However, it was an exercise in futility, as the Israeli iron dome destroyed all the missiles.

It is then, only logical to expect that some of the buildings from where the initial rocket attacks were launched would automatically become legitimate targets.

If in a fit of stupidity, the terror group had previously launched the attacks from a building where it also houses "civilians", then it can safely be said that it was "mass suicide by location".

So, Israel struck back at legitimate targets, and those who positioned the innocent children (who by the way, were not old enough to decide for themselves if they were ready to commit suicide) for the mass suicide have now come back with a sob story and false narrative, in order to justify more donations of rockets, from rogue nations.

And they are being spurred on by a despicable news media outlet.

Israel has a right to defend itself, and note that for each Palestine rocket destroyed, Israel has just lost a rocket, which costs upwards of N100m. Each rocket costs that much, so, it makes it so expensive to maintain an iron dome.

A cheaper option is to strike the exact sources of the rocket attacks, which is what Israel has done.

Now watch the video below, which clearly shows aggression on the part of the terrorists.

This video was uploaded almost 24 hours ago, so let's also be fair in our judgement.

Israel has the right to defend its territory.

Great to see so many people giving you suggestions. Their contributions might however, give you information overload. In addition, some of the suggestions are harmful. For example, someone said you should rub dettol on it, t.d.s. If you haven't already done that, please, never try it. You will end up with burns eventually.

Now, here is what you will do.

1. From now on, before you barb your hair, wash and rinse three times, dry with towel, then wait for fifteen minutes. After that, you can go and barb your hair.

2, Secondly, wash with soap and water (or shampoo) after barbing

3.Again, and I cannot stress this enough, even if you do not take your bath twice daily, you still must wash your head three times a day. Everyday. And it's because of this irritation you have developed.

4 Lastly, get yourself some real coconut oil. Use it in the mornings, after taking your bath.

While this is not a cure; and I doubt you will find an easy cure; these steps will leave you feeling happy with the way you have managed the situation.

It might even clear everything 100% in the long run.

Don't stop at just debunking stuff in the usual fashion of this government. Go ahead and implement measures that would prevent such from happening again. Go after those abusing the organs and instruments of governance to perpetuate acts of victimisation on citizens if indeed you have any regards for the high office that has been entrusted to you. If you can't do this, your denial is hogwash.

Who reported this case to the police? Who laid a complaint. Surely, the boy cannot be arrested if there is no complainant. Are we to now believe that the police are being engaged by bandits to settle scores between them and their help?

This scenario generates more shocks waves than anything that has ever shocked our c-in-c of ineptitude.

Education / Re: How To Get A N500,000 Grant In Nigeria; Student Or Not. by grabdbull: 4:14pm On Jan 14, 2020
More Excerpts:

IN ADDITION:
Each time a user’s friend gets a N500,000 grant, that user gets a matching N500,000, so far that friend registered on rent2own.com.ng quoting the user’s username. There is no limit to the number of N500,000 matching grant a user gets;
User will receive the matching N500,000 for each friend;
No matter the time-frame;
No matter the number of friends.
Education / Re: How To Get A N500,000 Grant In Nigeria; Student Or Not. by grabdbull: 12:30pm On Jan 14, 2020
The great part of it all is that while anyone can get the grant once every six months, they can still get matching grants of N500,000 over and over again, without the 6 months limit. This is possible because whenever one of his friends who created an account using his username as the sponsor, gets a grant, the user is given a matching grant.

It is a great concept that does not require any subscriptions or fee payment.

Simply means while there is nothing to lose, there is absolutely everything to gain.

The picture below is from one of the posts on Facebook

More: This grant is for any Nigerian above 18 years of age who requires some funds to aid his entrepreneurial engagements, so far the grant value of N500,000 is not too little to be of benefit to his business.

Excerpts of the article -

"This is a grant. Money to boost businesses especially for, but not limited to, undergraduates and corp members. it’s not a loan; it does not require a subscription: the key requirement is for one’s friends to acknowledge that he deserves the funds. Yes, your friends nominate you for the “Rent to own (r2o)” grant."
Education / How To Get A N500,000 Grant In Nigeria; Student Or Not. by grabdbull: 4:36pm On Jan 09, 2020
For a young Nigerian, getting access to loans is really not easy. Especially if they have no collateral. Especially if they are undergraduates.

Getting a grant on the other hand, is almost unheard of, for most undergraduates.

Yet, some of our undergraduates need loans / grants that would make a huge difference to their financial status. With the availability of such funds, they would find it a lot easier to set up small businesses that would give them regular income in school.
If such undergraduates get the right information and get access to such resources, many of them will even become financially self-sufficient even before leaving school or finishing their service year.

There are resources available to the young Nigerian where he can access risk-free grants at least once every six months.
What's more, it doesn't cost anything beyond a few minutes of browsing to stake their claim to one of such resources. I will be talking about the r2o N500,000 grant for the young Nigerian undergraduate / corp member Entrepreneur. This resource has a bias that favors students enormously.

The terms
The terms are quite straight-forward:
1. No repayment - It is a grant, not a loan, so nobody is required to pay back.
2. No subscription - No one is required to subscribe in order to get the free grant.
3. Six months period - Anyone who gets this grant will not be eligible for another one for a six month period.
4. Recommendation process - There is a recommendation process. Anyone can be recommended by his friends. Any undergraduate can recommend a friend whom he believes will do well with the funds, for the grant.
5. Accountability: To qualify for another grant in 6 months, a beneficiary must show that he achieved at least one reasonable thing with what he got initially. It could be business registration, office equipment acquisition, website deployment, business plan research etc.

Education / Math Solutions On Videos And They Are Free! by grabdbull: 3:28pm On Jan 09, 2020
Hi there.

So almost two years ago, there was a project by Fundscheap to solve all questions and exercises in the SS1 to SS3 Math texts - New General Mathematics for Senior Secondary schools 1 - 3.

The aim is to get students to see how the questions are solved and learn them easily, shortly before the teacher gets to that topic in class. This would make the student more proficient in that topic.

The project was placed on hold for certain reasons.

Now the project is back on the mainstream, and this time, it has videos which are available for free. While the videos are available now, and will continue to be made available as the questions are solved, it is calculated that there will be sufficient coverage of the ss1 -ss3 textbooks by October 2020, after which Jamb and Waec questions will be solved.

Here are some screenshots.

We await the magic wand of Nami. And hope firs will also stop squeezing ropes around existing tax payers trying to get water out of stones. Bring more tax payers into the tax net!

It's a well orchestrated scheme to rubbish Fowler and implicate his circle of associates. Nami is not going to do anything innovative to increase revenue generation and those who planted him there know that, so they have already started an elaborate diversion of existing revenue collection to the coffers of the FIRS. This will then give an impression of good performance.

This December alone, shortly before Nami resumed office, billions of Naira in revenue were diverted to now be reported as FIRS collections. The situation has already generated serious friction between two government bureaucracies as seen in this article - https://punchng.com/cbn-firs-nipost-clash-over-stamp-duty/

Hi @mufutau55 , project managers, building materials merchants, and even property flippers. I have been a member of Nairaland for quite a while, and really appreciate the good work you have been doing here.

I would like to discuss an arrangement that may significantly increase the number of projects you handle and also sales.

I did not send a pm; I am approaching you openly, just so that many things we discuss will be an open book.

We seek to be part of the solution in providing decent, affordable houses for many Nigerians, at a cost that will encourage many people to take the bold step towards owning houses.

At this point, I just want to bounce some ideas back and forth, tell you what we have done in other sectors, and seek ways of making our mark in the housing sector.

I would really appreciate it if you go through this very short article. Thanks. https://coincessful.com/index.php/streets/
Business / Re: How To Start A Side-gig That May Give You A 6 Figure Side Income - No-loss-bids by grabdbull: 9:43am On Aug 15, 2019
So the first question will be: How do the auctions even work?

It uses a penny auction model, but in this case, no losing bidder loses money.

This post simply shows how the no-loss-bids auction process ensures that both the NLB auction website owner and his users are all winners.

So what’s the process?

An item is listed for auction.
A user clicks “Bid”.
(Each time a user clicks "bid", he spends one bid. Remember that each bid costs N20; this will ensure that only serious bidders engage in contesting for an auctioned item.)
The price of the item increases by N0.01k only, or a pre-set value.
Another user feels he can pay 1Kobo more and also clicks bid.
The price rises by N0.01k again.
The process continues until nobody outbids the last person.
The last bidder has now earned the right to pay for the product at that discounted price.

Business / How To Start A Side-gig That May Give You A 6 Figure Side Income - No-loss-bids by grabdbull: 4:51pm On Aug 14, 2019
Everyone who is old enough to earn money knows that it is always wise to have several sources of income. The issue is that most people do not have the luxury of time to man more than one or two sources income at the same time.

So any business that requires as little time as possible; is not too risky; and may not result in losses is always a welcome avenue for most people.

For me, the added opportunity to learn something new is the topping on the cake.

On this thread, I will talk about how to start a side business that:

Is not saturated like blogging;

Requires only a little time daily;

Has limited risks;

Has a dedicated community;

Favors early adopters.

We will consider the pros and the cons.
Is it for real, and more importantly, is it sustainable?

.... One of the applications that was withdrawn and struck out by the Supreme Court is the plea filed by Innoson on 27th of February, 2015 askingfor the court to order GTB to issue a money guarantee to the court. This is interesting because it means that, rather than rule for the Bank to pay Innoson 14bn as the latter had claimed, the apex court struck out that particular request....

For the benefit of those who cannot comprehend, it simply means GTB was never asked to deposit any money.

The Innoson team lied in desperation.

So far, I have not seen any evidence of a court judgment for GTB to pay Innoson. In addition, the false and malicious tweet has been taken down.

It takes a certain level of filthiness to run a false campaign with the hope of destroying another man's business; actually, a business owned by thousands.

Some myopic ones are already celebrating the demise of GTB - a case of premature ejaculation.

Such evil thoughts may end up manifesting in their personal space before it ever gets near this great banking brand.

Celebrities / Re: We Are Not Withdrawing The 'This Is Nigeria' Video - Falz's Management To MURIC by grabdbull: 4:08pm On Jun 06, 2018
Okay, let's get some perspective:

1. A terrorist sect kidnaps innocent school girls.

2. The school girls are raped for years and forcefully married off to members of said sect. They are forcefully converted to the religion of this sect.

3. As part of proof of conversion, they are coerced to wear the hijab.

4. MURIC sees absolutely nothing wrong in these girls being forced to wear the hijab.

5. The girls need extensive psychological intervention to help them cope with the trauma of this experience.

6. An artist uses the newly enforced religious dress code of these girls to call the attention of Nigerians to the girls still in captivity.

7. MURIC threatens court action and reminds us (actually boasts) of violent reactions by muslims in the past. It says it would rather prefer to see the girls in a pensive mood since according to them - " the girls are always in a pensive mood ". In MURIC's view, these girls don't deserve to be happy, even in the artiste's video.

8. MURIC doesn't care a hoot about the girls, but would threaten violence over the depiction of the apparel the girls have been forced to wear. A case of clothes being more important than life.

9. The kidnap of these girls by a sect which forcefully converted them to another religion did not strike MURIC as being wrong.

10. And now, here we are, being threatened with violence by some characters on nairaland, because one artiste is alleged to have provoked a group of extremist muslims.

I'd like to know, which is more evil - for one man to ask for justice for innocent girls, or for a group of violence-crazed individuals to hide under the cover of provocation to perpetuate murder, just as they have done in the past.

In the words of MURIC - " We remind Nigerians of the outcome of similar provocative actions in the past and their unpalatable outcomes. The violent reaction of Nigerian Muslims to Fun Times magazine’s blasphemous story of December 1990 in which it was alleged that “Muhammad had an illicit affair with a woman of easy virtue according to the Qur’an and later married her” shook the country to its foundation. Isioma Daniel’s article, “The World at Their Feet” published in ThisDay newspaper on Saturday, 16th November, 2002, drew the ire of Muslims across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

Violent demonstrations broke out in 2005 when the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten’s published a cartoon in which Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was depicted as a terrorist wearing a bomb-laden turban. In January 2015, Charlie Ebdo, the French satirical magazine used cartoons that were considered provocative by Muslims. Blood flowed on the streets of Paris."

MURIC, stop celebrating violence. Teach people that killing people is evil. If they kill, they will go to the hell they like talking about. Failure to teach them that killing is evil and the celebration of past killings is what makes some of them eagerly anticipate the next opportunity to spill blood. The sad part is that when they spill blood, even those who celebrate with them get a lot closer to the devil and are poised to carry out the role of the devil's demons in the near future.

Welcome back senator. From your experience, you can see that the brutalization of Nigerian citizens by our coercive forces has now been extended to an arm of government. I mean it is now being reported that people are being arrested for holding more than two phones, being too thin, or not combing their hair. Ridiculous.

The time is right for you and your colleagues to sponsor bills that will criminalize police brutality while laying down standard operating procedure enforcement on officers and men while discharging their duty.

Take this advice seriously. It could save the man on the street.

It is not in anyone's place to select which arraignment he will make himself available for. Does he know the law more than the courts? He should go to court and challenge it's jurisdiction upon arraignment.

The way he is going, he will only get himself remanded in custody throughout the duration of the trial.

He is also not helping himself and his lawyers by holding the court in contempt as evidenced by the fact that he prefers to discuss the case in public space rather than in court.

The man has something to hide and is afraid of arraignment.

Where is the power? Where is the power? And now we have to pay the debts.”

Let us get this straight. Obasanjo paid back a total of $20 billion to the Paris club and London club in 2006, leading to the unprecedented write-off of the rest of our foreign $36 billion debt. All this while investing an unprecedented amount of resources in constructing 13 power plants which are there for all to see today.

Obasanjo left Nigeria with an international debt-free profile in 2007 when he left office.

Buhari, rather than tell LIES that he left you with debts you have to pay back, please appreciate him for clearing inherited debts even when oil prices were at some of the lowest points recorded since the return to democracy in 1999. President Buhari can never replicate this feat of clearing debts even with today's higher oil prices, and he dares to slander one who was able to achieve much with little?

Please enough of the lies.

In this same speech, he even criticized leaders who send their children to foreign schools, yet he is the number one offender. ( Let us not forget the shameful medical tourism )

These contradictions probably led FFK to ask what he asked.

Business / Re: N300,000 Extra Income Monthly From A Uniquely Nigerian Solution. by grabdbull: 5:46pm On Apr 20, 2018
In summary...

1. This product is something parents recognize as being useful to their kids.

2. While a few solutions are released everyday, the official launching is on the 1st of October 2018

3. Parents will pay N300 / month for access to the solution after launch. This will later get to N500, and eventually, N1000 monthly.

4. If any parent should pre-order now, before the launch, he gets to pay only N10,000 for lifetime access. This will cover all math solution from SSS 3 all the way down to primary 4. Such a parent is known as a backer / Top level affiliate

4b. A backer can decide to pay in installments of N2000 or N5000 and complete payment before October 1, 2018.

5. When the full launch occurs, backers/Top Level Affiliates earn affiliate commission from the subscription of regular users (regular users do not earn commissions), up to a maximum of N5000 per account, giving N60,000 per year.
Not bad for a single N10,000 payment.

6. Any can decide to be a sales partner right now. Sales partners are the ones to convince parents, schools, PTAs, and even lesson teachers to secure access for their kids.

7. Sales partners earn N2000 sales commission per N10000 pre-order from backers they bring in.

8. Sales partners can earn N300,000 per month.

9. Sales partners can decide to become backers themselves in order to benefit from the lifetime commissions.

This is how I will break it down for now. I believe it is a gold mine for Nigerian youth. It's simply selling an easy-to-sell product to willing parents on behalf of their children.

Cool. On the site, there is provision for mock computer based testing, especially for UTME past questions, where the next question will not appear unless you answered the previous one. As per rewards, it is a great suggestion and I will pass it on to the promoters of this project.

Why is emphasis made on parents, are they the ones teaching the students? Why not consider schools too? Don't you think an app will be better than a website?

Thanks for your contribution.

With regards to considering schools, I actually mentioned that the sales partners get to market to schools, PTAs and lesson teachers who will encourage the students to use the service, so the project focuses on all of them

There is provision for an app after the launch so the two will go hand in hand. While the project is being perfected, the promoters have made it available on website.

Your question regarding parents is also in order. The truth is that parents are the ones to pay for this service especially since it is focused on children from SSS3 down to primary 4. The pre-order arrangement also makes room for lifetime affiliate commissions and the project does not envisage paying money to anyone under 18 years of age, so the thinking is to interact with those who make the financial decisions.
