Instead of reseting, why not just uninstall wampserver and delete all the folders associated with it and install a fresh one. I use xampp and it works fine. Well, both are same.

Family / Five Things I Plan To Tell My Teenage Sons About The Nakked Pictures Of Kim K. by GraphicsPlus(m): 1:42pm On Nov 19, 2014
Tonight, I plan to sit my teenage boys down on the couch and ask them a pretty awkward question. It’s a question I never thought I’d ask and I’m a little angry that I even need to ask it. What is the question?

Have you seen Kim Kardashian naked?

Why would I ask this?

Because my teenage boys use the Internet. And they’re teenagers. Did I mention that? True, I monitor their history, but it’s getting hard to keep track of all the iPods, iPhones and iPads floating around our house. I’m also smart enough to know that Kim Kardashian’s nude photo shoot is all over the Internet—especially Facebook—and it’s likely they’ve seen all or some of Kim at this point. I’m hoping for the latter, of course.

When I sit down with my boys, these are the five things I hope to share with them after asking the Kim K. question—whether they’ve seen the images or not.

1. You can’t always control what you see, but you can control the second look.
Protect your eyes at all cost. I know you come across a million images every day and you can’t always control what flashes before them, but you can control your gaze. Be discerning and listen to the Holy Spirit. Remember, you have a choice. What you choose to dwell on is in your power. You can choose to go down a path of lust, broken relationships and cheapened intimacy or you can reserve your eyes and your hearts for something much better, for something God designed you for—Purity. Here’s the truth though… You won’t win the battle every day. There’s a good chance you will blow it sometimes. When that happens, pack your bags. Just kidding, I want you to come and talk to me. Seriously, talk to me.

2. It’s OK to appreciate beauty, but never confuse beauty with p0rn.
P0rn is taking something that never belonged to you with your eyes. It cheapens women and it cheapens intimacy. P0rn freely gives away something that was only meant to be experienced between a husband and a wife. I don’t mind if you appreciate beauty, God wired you that way, but don’t take that step from appreciation to objectification. For the record, any nud!ty counts.

3. Treat women as sisters and mothers.
The Apostle Paul sat down with a young church leader once and gave him this advice - treat older women as mothers and younger women as sisters. That advice still stands. There’s only one woman’s body you should look at nakked—and enjoy—and that’s your wife’s. Kim K. is old enough to be your mother. If you saw your mother in pictures like this, what would you do? Please say, “Look away.” That’s the right answer. That’s always the right answer.

4. Your heart is at stake.
The images and thoughts you put into your mind will have a direct impact on your heart. We’re called to protect our hearts–not just as an afterthought, but above all else. Why? Because it’s the wellspring of life (Proverbs 4:23). What you see matters because it changes who you are and who you’ll become. God wants you to grow in purity so that when the time comes you’ll be capable of intimacy, love and passion the way God intended. When you look at p0rn it has consequences. God’s grace covers our sins, for sure, but we still live with the consequences of our actions. Don’t forget that. Also, masturbation will make you blind. OK, that was a joke. Or was it?

5. In our house, we love and respect women. Period.
The world wants to use women and throw them away like objects. As disciples, we’re called to be a part of God’s great plan of redemption. When we love, protect and empower women to be who God wants them to be we’re partnering with God in his great act of re-creating the world in heaven’s ways. When we demean women and treat them as objects, we’re working for the wrong team. Don’t work for the wrong team, please.

Also, one more thing: God made our bodies and God made sex. Both are pretty awesome. Don’t for a second think they’re not, but God designed sex for marriage not for the Internet.

Any questions?

Travel / What Is It Like To Live And Work In Vienna, Austria? by GraphicsPlus(m): 1:10pm On Dec 25, 2013
Please, I need some piece of advice from Nairalanders who have traveled to or live in Austria. My younger brother will be proceeding to Austria by next year to do his Master's at Modul University, Vienna. He will be going with a work permit, so that he can work as he likes while he do his Master's. We need some advice on how to secure an apartment in Vienna. I mean, how does house rent work in Vienna? I am aware that they use Euro. So how much is the average monthly house rent? Is house rent paid monthly or yearly? What is it like to live, work and study in Vienna. Thanks.
Religion / A Nairalander's Christmas Message To All Nairalanders by GraphicsPlus(m): 8:09am On Dec 25, 2013
Dear fellow Nairalanders,

I believe this finds you walking in the love and peace of Jesus Christ. I must start by saying that Jesus Christ is the greatest Gift given by God to the world. And today we remember the day He left divinity and all the glory of heaven and stepped into humanity and gory of earth. He came not to condemn us. He came not to judge us and destroy us. We actually supposed to be condemned, judged and destroyed, however, He chose to take our place. He came to offer us His free gift of salvation which can only be received through Him alone. He came to redeem us and give us abundant life. He came to destroy he who has the power of death, that is the devil. And today, we celebrate His birth. Today, people all over the world especially Christians rejoice because of His birth. The world was heading to eternal darkness until He who is the Light of the world came. He came and brought us peace, love and freedom. Today, we can stand and rebuke the devil and he will flee from us because of the merit of Christ.

I am aware that we have heard all kinds of statements and arguments from several quarters concerning Christmas. Some have said that Christmas is not biblical. Some said that Jesus was not born on 25th December. Actually, Jesus was not born on 25th December. It was a day used by Romans to worship the sun god, until Emperor Constantine changed it to the day of celebrating the birth of the Son God, Jesus Christ. Brethren, it does not really matter whether Jesus was born on 25th December. The point is that He was born and we must celebrate His birth. 25th December is like a platform used to celebrate the greatest Gift of life and salvation. The day Jesus was born don't matter. What matters is that He was born and He came to save us.

Friends, let us at this Christmas have a personal relationship with the Christ who is the only reason for Christmas. Christmas becomes nothing if Christ is not the centre of our celebration and worship.

I wish us Happy Christmas. And I pray that Jesus Christ will shine His love, peace and light in our hearts this season and beyond. Amen.

Yours in Christ's love,

Webmasters / Web Design Trends That Will Be Common In 2014 by GraphicsPlus(m): 1:25pm On Dec 05, 2013
I came across this ebook on webdesign trends and thought it will be good to share with us. There are 15 website examples of each trend. After going through these trends and the examples, you may receive some design inspirations. I have listed the 11 trends with their explanations and four examples for each. If you will like to read the ebook and and see all the 15 examples for each, please download it here:

http://uxpin.e24files.com/webdesign_trends2013_uxpin.pdf

INTRODUCTION
Design is the mirror of culture. Changes in society, technology and art are always reflected in the current state of design. Designers are stretching the limits of matter and self expression in the constant endeavour to build something meaningful. This effort cannot be separated from the world - the ultimate source of design inspiration.

Web Design is by far the most dynamic member of the design family. Trends come and go quickly. Each year, though, seems to be more mature and the progress is easily visible.

In recent years we went through a massive interest in skeuomorphism, a robust usage of large typography, vintage websites, hand written fonts, wood patterns, big headers, enormous footers, etc.

Today, design is different. Users are finally in the center of the process and you can literally feel this while browsing through the web. Content never mattered more. The adaptation of websites to different screen sizes has become a standard. The visual side of web design leans towards simplicity and balance. Web Design has never been more mature and sane.

And yes, though the madness of flash has died, we can still witness a lot of craziness. Designers are stretching the limits of technology with Web GL, very popular video backgrounds and twisted variations of web navigation. Without experiments, though, there would be no progress.

Progress couldn’t exist without constant learning from each other as well. That’s why we’ve decided to analyze thousands of websites to look for the trends that are repeated by the best designers. We’ve found very popular patterns in 2013 and emerging trends that most probably will be very popular in 2014. Here they are:

1. THE ERA OF CONTENT
“Content is King” said Bill Gates back in 1996 and we waited quite a long time to fully feel the wisdom of these words in web design.

Today, finally, web design has become content-centric. Great text, amazing photographs and videos are the center of the modern website. The content rises above the layout and ornaments, or in other words - design creates the context for content.

Visitors don’t come to our website to admire the layout and overall design. Visitors come to a website to achieve their goals. In most cases content is the road to the goal and it has to be clear. The layout and design of the website attract visitors but it works only when
you have relevant, useful and catchy content.

Examples

2. STORYTELLING
Storytelling is a powerful method of communication. In The Psychological Power of Storytelling, author Pamela Brown Rutledge says “when organizations, causes, brands or individuals identify and develop a core story, they create and display authentic meaning and purpose that others can believe, participate in, and share.” Storytelling is the road to efficient web communication
and in 2013 designers seem to have finally grasped this concept.

The fact that storytelling is used not only by major brands to tell their stories, but also by non-profits to create an emotional response to important problems is all worth respect. After all persuasion is a big part of this design idea and nobody said it cannot be used for a good cause.

In 2013 designers mastered storytelling and I’m pretty sure it will be a major
trend in 2014. This is the kind of fashion we’d love to be ruled by, isn’t it?

3. RESPONSIVE WEBSITES
Three years have passed since Ethan Marcotte coined the term “Responsive Web Design”. Once a revolutionary fresh idea, has in the year 2013 been transformed into a commodity. Responsive Web Design (RWD) is not a mere trend anymore, it’s the reality of design expression.

I’d even go so far as to say that responsive web design will soon be as obvious as the separation of css and html for semantic reasons. It’s not a question of whether to use it or not. It’s a question of whether you can implement it properly.

We live in the post pc era. Mobile devices (and soon wearable computers) are growing in importance and today we have no other choice than to accept the fact that our websites need to provide an exceptional experience for different screen resolutions. In 2013 25% of the Internet traffic will come from Smartphones and Tablets. More than 25% of TVs sold in 2012 were
Smart TVs with Internet connectivity. Only responsive web design will let you easily serve all these devices and their owners.

4. FLAT DESIGN
To say that “Flat design is extremely popular” is to say nothing. Flat design took over the design world. Microsoft (since 2010), Google and Apple (iOS7) adapted flat design to some extent and thousands of designers followed. 2013 was the year of flat design and 2014 won’t be any different. Flat design will stay with us for a long time.

Some designers, though, tend to see it as the beginning of the revolution:

“I believe that the flat design trend is a symptom of growing maturity in the field of web and interface design. This maturity applies to our designers – who are getting better at making interfaces that encourage interactivity and engagement – as well as to our users.”

5. PARALLAX SCROLLING
Parallax scrolling in web design (previously popular in cartoons and video games) has been around for quite some time. Do you remember RGA’s website “Nike Better World”? It set the design world on fire. Suddenly everyone wanted to play with moving backgrounds and in 2013 the trend is simply obvious. Countless websites mesmerize users with a background illusion.

The parallax effect is the difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along different lines of sight. It leads to a certain illusion of 3D and creates an engaging environment for presenting content. If it’s not overused it’s a powerful weapon in the hands of a crafty designer.

Examples

http://www.moresleep.net/
http://www.quechua.com/campaigns/lookbook-spring-summer/

6. VIDEO BACKGROUND
HTML5 made it extremely easy to creatively use media on a website. The method that became particularly popular in 2013 is the video background - the trick of setting a large video as the background of a site.

A video background completely changes the visual appearance and adds a dynamic to the whole experience. While it might be inappropriate for e.g. a complex eCommerce website (as it might be distractive) it’s great for sites that are focused on telling the story.

The goal of a video background is twofold: endorsement of the user engagement and creation of an unforgettable, emotional, message.

Examples

http://whiteboard.is/
http://www.joe-san.com/
http://www.soniaby.com/

7. NON-STANDARD NAVIGATION
Navigation is among the most important pieces of every single website. No content would be reachable without properly designed navigation that answers the questions “where am I?” and “where can I go from here?”.

We got used to either a top, left or right menu. They’re patterns used since the beginning of the web. Something changed in 2013 though. Designers started to play with the concept and come up with really creative solutions. Some of them are more usable (bottom navigation), some less (usage of a keyboard in navigating through a website), but all in all this is an interesting
and popular trend that’s changing the way the Internet looks.

Examples
http://www.vespillo-lefilm.com/
http://www.cascadebreweryco.com.au/
http://www.adidasretailjobs.com/
http://beoplay.com/Products/BeoplayH6

8. FIXED NAVIGATION
Setting a position fixed for the navigation bar isn’t something new. It’s doable since CSS2 introduced absolute, relative and fixed positions for html elements. However, in 2013 fixing the navigation has been rediscovered in a twofold way:

i. Responsive websites often use fixed navigation bars to improve the navigation capabilities on a small screen;
ii. Fixed navigation bars with additional transitions add a dynamic feeling to the website.

The progress of technology (larger screens and bigger resolutions) has justified the fixed position of the navigation and honestly we’re hoping it will become a standard in 2014.

Examples
http://designtaxi.com/
http://theoriginalclassybroad.com/
http://blog.uxpin.com/
http://learnthesecrethandshake.com/

9. METRO GRID
The Metro UI name has been officially buried because of a possible trademark dispute. Microsoft offered “Windows 8-style UI” instead but the design world somehow refused to use it (sounds like product placement, doesn’t it?).

It didn’t kill the trend though. Together with the pinterest-like grids, metro grid has become extremely popular in 2013 and certainly will remain popular in 2014. Designers started to love websites and web applications full of nicely crafted boxes. Appealing, simple aesthetics almost dominated the Internet.

Examples
http://www.kitchenprague.com/
http://ugsmag.com/
http://readwrite.com/
http://thegadgetflow.com/

10. MIX-AND-MATCH TYPOGRAPHY
2013 popularized a typography style that we previously knew rather from fancy t-shirts than websites - mixing and matching several styles of fonts. The complex art of choosing the right font is stretched to the extreme in this trend.

Neck-breaking typography aerobatics will certainly be with us in the near future. It’s too powerful a brand-shaping tool to disappear.

Examples
http://forefathersgroup.com/
http://www.zegna.com/
http://www.skybox.org/
http://chriswilhitedesign.com/

11. CLARITY AND SIMPLICITY
Clarity and Simplicity are always in fashion. In 2013 however this became a major trend. Connected to the “content centric” approach and the flat design, the clarity and simplicity of an interface become a complete, powerful thing. It’s design at its best. Thoughtful, efficient and...simple.

Webmasters / What Will You Want To Achieve In 2014 As A Web Programmer? by GraphicsPlus(m): 4:12pm On Dec 03, 2013
Friends, 2014 is almost here wit us. And as web programmers, we may hav one or two things we hav in mind to achieve in this coming new year. Just like every human beign, I know we hav made certain plans of what we wil achieve in 2014. It's good to make plans and aspire to achieve more. I am not exempted. I have one or two things I wil like to achieve in this 2014.

1. I want to face and learn Ruby and start using it 'very' well.

2. I want to develop a robust web application that wil solve a particular need.

3. I want to attend Hackers School and use the opportunity to learn, brainstorm, connect, collaborate and make contacts.

4. I want to kick-start my NGO which focuses on teaching every secondary school student html, css and javascript for free.

5. I want to develop a robust and complete video tutorials and printed book on how churches and pastors can use Wordpress to blog and social media platforms to advance the gospel.

Friends, what ar ur plans for next year? What do u want to achieve in 2014? Maybe u want to master a particular programming language or learn a certain web design concept or technology. Or u want to launch a startup or a project. Let's hear from u.

If not, u should hav one. again, try uploading using third party ftp client like filezilla. uploading direct through the cpanel can be confusing sometimes since u hav to create folders. but u can simply drag all ur files and folders to filezila and dump them inside ur public_html and filezilla wil do its work.

This is not the point. The OP said i was selling videos i got free at thenewsboston. He's yet to prove that. If am giving out these videos free, which i have done, most people here will be glad. But we fail to also know that distributing the videos free is also illegal.

Well, I have already gotten my subscription money. I didnt even put much interest in the selling of the videos. No advert has been made about it. I just told my friends on fb. But I must point out also that i am WRONG to either distribute the videos freely or by payment. The OP simply said that i got the videos free and now selling them. i just proved to him that i paid for the videos, but the truth is that i didnt pay for them to sell them. i want to thank everybody that has contributed so far on this thread. All ur comments are highly appreciated and noted.

It's not every website that requires a server-side languagelike php, but most websites do make use of it. You can design a good website with just html and css, but if you want to build a career in web design industry, you MUST learn at least one web programming language.

What is php? Get the answer here: http://php.about.com/od/phpbasics/qt/what_is_php_used_for.htm

I hav videos on: ruby, python, hacking, seo, android dev, iphone dev, php, oop, rwd, codeigniter, ecommerce, wordpress, drupal, joomla, photoshop, after effects, etc. I hav over 2000 videos at my disposal. I PAID for all of them. Internet is fast in India, so i subscribed for these paid tutorial websites & downloaded d videos. The one of udemy is nt even allowd to b downloaded. They stream their videos. But i personally send a message to Victor Bastos (he's my friend on facebook), d tutor and he personally sent me d videos wit another little charge afta paying 99 USD for the videos (complete web programmer).

I didnt sell any video to the OP. And yet he concluded that i sell videos from thenewboston. I know bucky (thenewboston) and Alex (phpacademy) and i have donatd to their tutorials and i hav even met them in persons at web design conference i attended in Notthingham earlier dis year. Yet, i dont sell their videos. Check my nairaland comments, i hav directed people who want to learn web design to their sites.

@dualcore, well said. But let me point out that the OP is joomlaman. unless he can prove the connection between the signature (Umar Yusuf, www.bintasms.com and www.bintacomputers.net) in his gmail and the joomlaman of nairaland that answers Umar Yusuf and has (www.umaryusuf.com, www.bintasms.com and www.bintacomputers.net).

Having said that, I got my videos from Lynda.com, Infiniteskills.com, udemy.com and killersitevideos.com and I paid for them. I paid for the subscription and also downloaded them with my bandwidth. I put the videos up for sale just to recover the money I paid and close the sale. The website (www.webtutsfromscratch.com) is originally made for free web tutorials from me. And funny enough, most people (especially my friends) down here called and begged to have the videos free and i know i have given the videos free to one or two persons.

Am not diverting anything. i just want to prove to u that u cannot deceive us by creating a new id. ignored the email u sent to me requesting for sample videos and that got u mad. ur madness is just beginning. keep eating urself up; joomlaman. u need to tell us the connection between bintasms.com and bintacomputers.net and joomlaman. ur email name carried Umar Yusuf. Joomlaman of nairaland name is Umar Yusuf and his websites are bintasms.com and bintacomputers.net. U think u ar smart.

Back to ur crappy thread (which wil soon be deleted). All the videos were completely paid for. i dont do illegal business. U didnt order for the videos and yet u concluded they ar free videos i got. That is the height of wickedness on ur part. I wil not say u hav this wicked heart becos u ar a moslem. no. i hav some very good moslem friends. so mr. Umar Yusuf (www.nairaland.com/joomlaman) next time, if u want to be completely anonymous, then use a new email id also. the gmail u used to send me message betrayed u. sorry.

OP, i said u should calm down, u ar Joomlaman. u make urself a f00l by denying. nobody wil kill u if u posted this crap wit ur real ID (joomlaman). why create new id.

How did i know u ar joomlaman?

The email u used to send me message requesting for sample videos has betrayed u. The email is: Umar Yusuf <forum2k9@gmail.com>. The email signatures carries:
www.Bintasms.com
www.BintaComputers.net

The nairaland signature of joomlaman carries: www.bintacomputers.net

If u search locally about bintasms, you wil see a place joomlaman listed thses websites as his:
www.bintasms.com
www.bintacomputers.net
www.umaryusuf.com

May Allah forgive u becos I have forgiven u.

NB: I just noticed u edited ur nairaland signature fom: 'Providing ICT to Nigerians - www.bintacomputers.net' to: 'True Naija Joomla'.

The OP, u ar Mustapha Yusuf. u ar www.nairaland.com/joomlaman. u ar the owner of bintasms.com and bintacomputers.net

There is no need using a new ID to insult me. U ar joomlaman. Just come out and really show who u ar. Dont be ashamed. I know u dont want to use ur real ID (joomlaman) becos u actively followed my thread tutorial on RWD. I didnt do any business wit u. u ar just eating urself up.
