My original intention of the post was just to point out that life is not so rosy for would be immigrants ,that living here without having reasonable money in your pocket when you arrive is almost suicidal
That been said most people who come in as immigrants/would be immigrants ARE NOT foreign criminals and scroungers as Justwise infers but lack relevant skill sets and entrepreneurial abilities
Many are just looking for a better life in a country [UK] which unfortunately has fallen on hard economic times yet still has to take in EEC/EU citizens without rigorous scrutiny which has stirred up resentment with many British people
Non the less, its really crazy that I'll be shunted out of the UK after spending between 5-7 mill minimum on an MSc program when with that around that same amount, I'll LEGALLY become a citizen [in 3 years], pay LESS TAX and get better opportunities if I'm in a country as Canada.

Don Oms: ^^^^^^^You are very right bro! I didn't want to comment earlier until you posted this. People make the mistake of having wrong perceptions about seeking "greener pastures" and eventually live unworthy lives. The design is for man to live in harmony with self and the environment.
Suffice to say, if a foreign land is not giving you the happiness you deserve, then going back home is the best option-except of course there's war/unrest at home.
My point is, I think it is worthy to live in a face-me-face-you house/hut in a village in Nigeria than sleep on the streets of London.

Its always good to learn from experience, the UK never promised you employment after graduation, you paid for education and that is what you are getting. I'm sure you did your research before coming to the UK so you don't have much to complain about.

Many times, I tend to ''forget the colour'' of my skin cos I mostly find myself in white/brits dominated locations. So far, so good, the reception has been awesome.
