Evil granny . And all ye who see or tend to see this act a good one, somehow, may it come to you and your daughters . If you don't understand what this lady is passing through, just shut it already . If what she did is right, why do it when this lady wasn't home . I hope this ends soon with the baby united with her irreplaceable Mummy . Onoja, God is watching you and remember, he never sleeps nor slumbers, same goes to you Onila. If you are Igbo, this lady is better than you, she is a real woman who faced what you can't. 4 Likes |

@50caliber, i think people should keep their mouth shut if they don't know what to say,a man owns the child in Nigeria and so what, having a prick doesn't make you a man, and if you are so proud of nigerian traditions , i don't know what you are doing here in the uk, Anyway my take on this is that the lady in question should report the case to the appropriate authorities, like the Nigerian high commission here in the uk and the police then the interpol and there some non governmental organisations that can take the case up back home and also make complaint to the Nigerian police headquarters Abuja, That child should be with the mum no matter what, he is too small to be out there with someone else other than his biological mum. 4 Likes |

chimkaire: First, you're the one making an assertion that the so-called Temmy is a real woman and better than others because she had a baby she fed on welfare. Here in the state, we have people like her and majority of them are in the ghetto, raising kids for the prison complex. |

Re: UK-based Nigerian Mother Pleas For Help For Kidnapped Child by Nobody: 3:35am On Oct 10, 2014 |
MsNas:Don't get it twisted. The dude made a valid point about the Igbo tradition about child custody. According the Igbo tradition once the guy gets married to the girl, then the child can bear his surname but if he deems it unnecessary to get married to her then the child belongs to the lady. So its not about believing me or not. I am only clarifying. . I am an Igbo man. I strongly abide by my traditions- the ones I deem rational and which are not against my ideology or belief. 1 Like |

slimmy05: Maybe this is the time to put backward traditions under the microscope. The tradition of kidnapping a child or taking a child to another country without parental consent should be abolished. Temmy's mistake was being nice to grandmama snatch-a-baby and allowing the witch to stay under the same roof as her baby. 6 Likes |

There are things I've learned about the Ibo culture, but I doubt that kidnapping a child is one of it. However, Ibo posters in this thread are making it appear is if it's respected and should be expected. I hope a few level-headed Ibos can clear this up. I'd hate to believe that the culture of kidnapping still thrives in African bushes. 1 Like |

slimmy05: You mentioned Ibo tradition, and previously someone mentioned that in Ibo tradition, the child belongs to the father and therefore kidnapping a 2-years old baby was justifiable. |

slimmy05: You're indirectly saying that if they were married, the child belongs to the man i and that it would be okay to kidnap the child. Still doesn't make it okay. No situation makes it okay to take a child out of the country without parental consent/knowledge, married or not. Also, the child belongs to both parent (married couple), however the douchebag in this case wanted his child aborted and neglected to help raise her. The coward sent his criminal gansta mother to steal another woman's baby. 1 Like |

Don't mind this Ofe_manu. A dad taking her daughter is now kidnapping. I doubt the UK airport will be that lax to let the granny pass through the airport without enough evidence. Keep shouting kidnapping, while the baby is living happily ever after with the rightful custodian. Ofe_manu always trying to twist the real fact. The fool lost custody of the baby girl, then came online to seek sympathy by shouting kidnapping. In fact, her story don't even add up. I'm glad the baby is in good hand. Ofe_manu should mind their business! |
Re: UK-based Nigerian Mother Pleas For Help For Kidnapped Child by Nobody: 4:10am On Oct 10, 2014 |
Ilekere:Are you high? Where in my post did I say the child belongs to the man. Can't you differentiate between the child bearing his(dad) name and the child belonging to the dad. If the guy does not get married to her the child will bear the ladys surname and the child also belongs to her. I think you have comprehension issues. For you to indirectly conclude for me, you need to be hit with a brick and also taking that 'boldened' comment hook line and sinker without hearing from the man makes your think lame and shallow. 1 Like |

slimmy05: Re-read your post and try to understand the indirect reference you made. According to you, they're not married, the child bears her mother's name, therefore she belongs to her mother. You're indirectly saying that if the opposite should be the case, the child belongs to her father. I'm simply correcting the backwards culture of stealing an infant from her mother. No need to shiiiiiit bricks |

Ilekere:Can see you're a retard. No wonder they regard you lots fcktar.ds Let me school your backward ofe_nmanu mentality. The guy not getting married to the lady gives him no paternity over the child at all, not even the baby bearing his name. But if he gets married the lady, then its a done deal. They are married, so no issue of paternity or maternity issue. The baby would bear his surname even if the lady decides to quit the marriage in the long run. Dumb.as.s ofe_nmanu 1 Like |
