it is a matter of choice and personal opinion, it has never been labelled a compulsion. nonetheless it is advisable to, i for one do not see myself getting serious with someone that cant at least cook my meals. just the same way i wont advise a lady to take serious a guy that does not once in a while spend a little on her(actually this is applicable to both parties). you pamper someone you hold dear, courtship is like an interview for marriage. if she is too big to cook for me while we are courting, then how much more when she is now Mummy Junior.

Remember what makes someone miss you are the things you do when you are around. So once in a while flaunt your cooking talent, it is a rare gift in this generation of INDOMIE girls. However one should do it with moderation, that whenever you are around cooking might be mistaken for desperation by some immature guys.

Lol. Re-read my original post. I said I'm open to cooking when he comes over to my place but I won't cook at his place.

You dey mind them. Effing liars. It's either they have had horrible experiences or the so-called boyfriend is actually not the MAIN one. Probably dating him despite knowing full well the relationship is on a dark alleyway.
best comment, goodnight my dear brother, it was a waste of time commenting on the threadsmiley

I see nothing wrong with one coking for her bf especially when she's at his place, although it shouldn't be every visit practice. Like myself I like cooking its my hobby and I find pleasure doing it.

Same topic with different OPs! So I'l give the same reply as before.
I don't like to cook (that doesn't mean I can't). So cooking for myself, let alone someone else is a chore. So I avoid it if I can. But I have to eat and save money so I cook. If my boyfriend want to chop he know he can come to my house and chop, he's just like any other guest. If I chop, my guest will chop. So I don't go out of way to cook for my bf, unless a occasion calls for it. It's a mutual thing. As long a two individual mutually agree to do this or that for each other, that one should no concern nobody. So there nothing right or wrong about cooking for your bf. In my opinion cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and the like on a consistent basis is too much if your title is just girlfriend.

And they will remain unmarried like ur old ugly aunty @ 35

Chairman ,who be my aunty? How you just dey insult people up and down as ugly? I have seen more than one person that you have referred to as ugly.that's too harsh. We are all just exchanging opinons and having fun as well as easing off stress.
Mind you is not how. Young you marry but how well.the divorce rate now in nigeria is unbelievable.its not the matter of whether she cooked when they were dating , or is good in bed, or presently a good cook as a wife. There's more to it
So even if a lady is aingle at the age of 40 doesn't matter as long as she carries her self well and ends up marrying the right man. Marriage is from God and all of us are beautiful.God did not create a single ugly thing or person as he is beautiful himself.
Think positively

*YAWN* Stop being a bitter ass nigga and go to bed already. Or better yet, you can continue hunting for a girlfriend on nairaland lmao.
you are just a useless spoilt fool, I pity those who are arguing with an under aged castrated goat like you. you feel you can insult any body that say a harmless word to you right? what makes you thinks that any body that's in Nigeria have never travelled out? who even argues about relationship with somebody whose parents has been in marriage for only 21years? you are probably around 18 or 19 years, so shut that your useless mouth pls. america university indeed.

No, lady.
But, at times, I just don't understand our hypocrisy. I really don't! Is it because we are Nigerians and that we are naturally wired like that? You can't cook for him because he's not your husband yet but you can fu/ck him? The height of hypocrisy, don't you reckon?
