I am not familiar with the appeal process either. I would imagine there is a form for this process.

If the reasons for refusal are fixable, put together the evidences along with the form for the appeal.

@Ladyennie, u can go back and apply on Tuesday thru Thursday from 1pm to 4pm. Just know the reason why he was denied and add the documents. That polish embassy is a business center if you ask me. Be ready to pay another #12k for the appeal. They do not have reasons for denial if not that they want to keep exploiting Nigerians.
How old is your son? You can start pursuing canada or U.S for him. But canada is more easier to get admission cuz u.s he will have to write the SAT and TOEFL.

@Ladyennie, the consulate knew why they didn't ask for the receipt cuz they want people to make another payment. The people they give the visas to are people with at a bachelor's degree or if you have studied outside Nigeria. They see every Nigeria as people running away from their country when it's the Polish people that are littered all over Europe.
Try the appeal and look for an alternative, think of Canada he's still young and what he needs 4 canada is just his waec result

I would still say go for an appeal. Contact the university once again and request for a letter written IN POLISH specifically to the Polish consulate in Nigeria. Ask them to state that your son's place on the programme is still secured for him and he genuinely wants to come and study as well as how much he has paid for tuition and accommodation.

Also, ask his sponsor (even if it is you or his dad) to write him an official letter stating that he can confirm that your son is definitely coming back to Nigeria after his degree to take part in the National Youth Corp Service NYSC required for graduates to obtain employment in Nigeria. Sign and stamp it if possible and if the sponsor is company use letter headed paper. (You may want to emphasise the significance of obtaining a degree in Europe and the exposure that comes with it and the opportunity of learning a new language)

You need to show them evidence that he is going to study and definitely going to come back.

As well, ask him to learn how to say good day in Polish (Dzien Dobry) and good bye as well (You tube) and he can use that to introduce himself. Its impressive, shows enthusiasm and acceptance. Every country loves their language.

If your son wants to study in Poland, do not give up because of one refusal. Reinforce the application and pray along. It will be sorted.

I know an 18 year old that recently obtained his Polish national visa to study for his first degree. He was refused submission initially.

Do not give up, keep at it.

@Ladyennie, try the appeal 1st and hopefully he gets it. I lost my appeal on grounds that I have not shown I will return back. I don't know why at 17 years I would want to settle in Eastern Europe. I don't want you to be discouraged, all cases are not the same try the appeal this week, just make your case strong like mowadupe said. Best wishes in the appeal
The reason I brought the case of Canada not that it's cheap but opportunities are bound as students and if he's a good student his chances of a full scholarship are bound.

These polish people are just so full of crap. Their country is not all that. They are poor and lazy people. Your son shud have been bold to tell them he has no plans of staying in Poland. Even if he won't come back to Nigeria it's not poland he wud want to stay. Nonsense racists. Madame pls include ur husbands land documents or business if he has any ur son should tell them he is coming back to head or manage the family businesses and lands after his studies.
He should be firm n even rude about it. If u r weak and fearful dey will know it. You r not going there to work. We don't need dir country for anything just the education n dts all.

Have good money in your sons account go there and re appeal or whatever dey asked.

Some Nigerian guys come here and start lukn for Polish women to marry! Those ones r cheap n luv black men. Some guys come here to do drugs. The polish people are afraid of Nigerians! Very much afraid. They r poor and so don't want anyone to come n constitute nuisance in their country. You won't blame them!

Eiii I am even afraid to the bone, with this rejections.Just want to study and nothing more, got land and family properties to back that.But still scared.Guyz need your advise on these;
1.I dont have a strong Waec result and even with bachelor's certificate I am told I would have a trouble legalizing at the embassy.I have already super legalized it at MOFA but Guys plz what do you think?

2.I have already sorted accomodation,but for the bank statement is not all that strong, but I have an uncle in Germany who us willing to give me his.Can I use his too without risking anything or arousing any suspicions?

I am using my parents own but they are currently building another school so his funds are a little not strong. That is why I also want to add that of my uncle in Germany. But someone told me that can make the consulate think it would be easy for me to run to Germany instead. That is why I am asking the thoughts of you bosses.

I am not sure how much that would be. I really did not require that. I would say, If possible, in excess of a year's accommodation & tuition fees plus estimated living expenses.

If you have the patience, good internet and a lot of persistence, change the website language back to polish and you may get dates as soon as possible its just that the form would be in Polish not English. Hence, the need for good internet for translation.

Apply and fill out the Schenghen form, it's one n d same. Since its studies dey will change it for you themselves! Dont delay. That's what I used

I did same as pasedrix, I filled a schenghen and they switched it. However, someone did same and was asked to go fill a new national visa application online and he got the visa eventually. So just saying be prepared and in case, do not feel we misled you.

There is a school that has Polish courses for foreigners and they give visa invitations for learning there. I know they have students from, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Pakistan and Iran. Was just wondering if this couls also pass as a basis for a visa.
