Justwise, Vicjustice and my Fellow NL'ers, I've just received my parcel yesterday and was refused visa. I submitted on the 29th March, and was assessed with a decision on the 6th May. kindly advise what could've been amended on this application. Also will like to know how long for me to reapply again.

I have taken time to go through lots of posts here,i must commend the good work. I really need guidance,i was refused a student visa(msc) in 2008 on the basis eco isnt sure if i can pay the balance of my tuition fee and afford living expenses. Today i am a businessman, md of a duly registered engineering firm,with CAC,tax clearance,company acc etc. Now, I intend to travel to Uk for 2weeks holiday say honeymoon with my wife,we have been married for 2yrs anyway with a 4months old son.My wife isnt working and I dont plan travelling with my son. I want to take from now till nov(7months) to package a water-tight application because i never want to be refused the second time,i have about N15m in company account. We plan travelling dec,just me and my wife,will leave my son with mother-inlaw. Pls,i really need advice from the travel experts here on how to package a flawless application. Thanks

You over budgeted your trip and end you spending more than 3 months of your salary within a short period. And you did you explain what you are going to do in the UK that necessitated spending about half a million naira with few days in th UK

@donciccio, sorry about the outcome. It is clear form the letter, that the ECO does not think that its wise for you to spend 3x your monthly disposable income for just a vacation in the UK. You did not also provide details plans on what you will do while in the UK. You can reapply anytime, but your application will also be processed putting into consideration if you have fully addressed the reasons for your last refusal.

@ekpotek, thanx for your response but I've some one who earns less than my disposable income and still got visa with vac cost of 500k. I think the eco is not fair. I agree I might not have provided enough information as to what to do but the same information was provided by the person I know and was given visa.

Good Evening Bro Justwise and my people in this house, please can someone banned for 10 years by British High Commission in Abuja apply for Republic of ireland visa with the same passport that has UK refusal stamp on it? Though the stamp didn't show any indication that he was banned. It only show the visa refusal number ''80*6*28'' and ''UK Abuja'' on the stamped surface.



Justwise is correct, unless you have an Irish Citizen wife or children- an exception may be made in this case if the ban related to a non declaration or something small , but if has anything to do with document fraud it will be pretty difficult

@Justwise, greetings- sorry for the delay to reply engaged with work. don't really think I over budgeted it's just that the exchange rate was a factor to the increase in naira cost. Moreover it's not 3 months of my salary but my disposable income.
Also, I stated what I was going to do. Some few places to visit. I think the eco wasn't fair in this judgement.

I, my husband and two kids travelled to the UK on a short visit and I would like to find out if there's any restrictions on the amount of items one can carry without wahala from Nigerian Customs or immigration coz we did lots of shopping (mostly baby cloths and shoes). Thanks.

Thanks justwise, really right about u can't predict until you get Ur visa, finally got a msg from Teleperformance yday after what I got from the embassy on Thursday. We were all given visas. Thanks again.
