Duru1:Even if Nigeria breaks they will still buy the FPSOs and if they don't Angola and Ghana will buy,we do not need to be in the same country for that.If you had a little sense you would ask where do the existing ones come from. All the way from Korea. What next Abokis insist all shoes must be made in the North because leather comes from there 6 Likes |

theV0ice: Is that company going to be using crude oil from ND yes or no? If no, fine build it in lagos. If yes, then they either should build it in ND or go and dig oil in lagos and build it there. The rest of your ranting, I don't care much about it |
Re: Oil Platform Fabrication: Ijaw Youths Draw Battle Line by theV0ice: 8:44pm On May 18, 2015 |
nonaira: No...the company WON'T BE USING crude from ND because it's not a refinery, petrochemical plant or gas plant. It's unfortunate and hilarious that you don't know yet you've been hyperventilating since morning. If no, fine build it in lagos. If yes, then they either should build it in ND or go and dig oil in lagos and build it there. Of course they've built it in lagos and even if you wish, your angry strokes on your keyboard won't interfere with the progress they're making in lagos. The worst you can do is rant......which is what you're doing now the rest of your ranting, I don't care much about it You can't care even if you tried since you have no single idea about what is being discussed. Imagine you asking if they'll be using crude from the ND Next time you wish to come rant on a public forum, the least you can do is use Google to update yourself so you don't come display gross ignorance in public. 6 Likes |

SonOfEl:my brother please dont get me wrong. Ironsi is a fine gentle man but he had no revolutionary ambition. He was not ready for what was given to him. Let me ask u a question: if you brother kills a man‘s father (God forbid), will you employ the son of the man ur father killed as your body guard or gate man? You said am embarrasing Igbos, please tell me where Ndi Igbo ever spoke good of Ironsi. Tell me what Igbos is doing in his honour. Even Nigeria and the zoo keepers are not also remembering Ironsi. Whatever Chuks wrote is not important here because Ironsi was never a part of the revolution. As i said before, the zoo keepers brought him up as the most senior officer but a vision you were not part of creating, you can never run with. Ironsi do not understand the reason for the revolution. And he paid with his life for his ignorance. |

theV0ice:That is the annoying thing ,People who have no idea what is being discussed. They see the world through the prism of Ibo Ojukwu Biafra and just jump to attention when they perceive any such matter is being discussed. So somebody wins a contract to supply helicopters or ambulances and they start foaming at the mouth if they are to be used in Bayelsa they must be made in Bayelsa.Where have they been when the Koreans have been bringing them in ever before They are quite happy to boast about how THEY run the Economyy but when it is demonstrated to them unmistakably that they are amateurs they start to sulk and say "I'm taking my ball if I am not captain". Well gues what? There are many balls. NOTHING IS MOVING TO BAYELSA DO YOUR WORST If you want a shipbuilding yard in gbabagakurumo build one 4 Likes |

lyntiffany: Iniñghe mmi, sè ami do oo! Affirmative! The plotting and conspiracy against the minority is almost as old as the name Nigeria. To correct this anomaly, the downtrodden must not hibernate, but zealously take the initiative not only to seek redress but send a message strong enough to elicit respect and fair dealing at all times. 1 Like 1 Share |

joeboy03:I do not believe you are "downtrodden because you are a minority only part of it has to do with education and superstition. That has held you back and if you have a strategy for that the sky is the limit.I know mny of your folk are smart and hardworking but there is a lot of work to do. Yes all Nigerians are superstitious but it is particularly damaging iin your area 1 Like |

omonnakoda: Education: There are countless highly educated and intelligent folks from the ND. They can be found everywhere in the region. Education is not the bane of the region like you asserted. Superstition: Whatever you imply by that, cos I don't know how applicable that is in subject. Superstition and/or education or lack of it thereof should never excuse cheating, inequality and ill treatment. |

coldFLARES1:Bros I like your points. U posit like some1 who sees beyond ethnicity and sentiments. Accountability is d key 2 ensuring economic liberation in d ND and nigeria as a whole. This whole idea of waiting 4 FG 2do everything will produce minimal results. Its not d responsibility of d FG or any oil coy 2 develop any state or region. That's what d state govts, LGs, federal and state legislators are supposed 2b burdened with. In other climes its legislators who lobby 4 investments 4 their constituencies working hand in hand with their govs 2 provide d conducive environment 4 such investment 2 flourish. |

Chigold101: ironsi messed up because he politically naive. He had no business running the politics of a complication called nigeria, because he was not ready for it. His pride brought his fall. However, chigold, if your brother slated you for assasination in the name of revolution, what would you do once you are able to overpower him? Ironsi was detribalised to a fault, he did not act decisively despite the pressure he got to do so. He was too trusting and too self-confident. He was litmus test that proved how deeply fractured nigeria was both religiously and ethnically. Even the military, a neutral arm was affected by this fracture. Anambarians especially, generally give little commendation to igbo who are not from their side. It is an unhealthy competition. Only Achebe as far as i know (in anambra) spoke generously about ironsi, in his last book 'there was a country'. Imo, ebonyi and delta people speak about him with mixed remarks. Abia people honour him but many still blame him behind closed doors. Enugu people act a bit like their anambra counterpart. |

Duru1:first and foremost, d FPSO in question is a private investment. If ND wants FPSO fabricated in d ND, are u telling me that d president, d ND govs, ministers, legislators,ND big boys and girls cannot come 2geda 2 attract such an investment 2 ND? Are they so powerless? If they couldn't boast of any investment in d last 6years then y do u blame outsiders 4 building an FPSO in lagos? 3 Likes |

joeboy03:D most impt wealth and resource any society and nation can possess are its people. D people of d ND aren't being controlled by outsiders. Its their own leaders who control and oppress them. Again, d people of d ND thru their elected reps since 1999 have had wealth and resources pumped into d region by way of NDDc and min of ND affairs allocation, monthly state allocation, 13 percent derivation, daily taxes that accrue 2 state and LGs. All these wealth and resources haven't been in d control of outsiders but niger deltans themselves. U are right. They reserve d right 2 seek justice, but from their leaders and elected reps |

lexy2014: In Nigeria, the most important wealth is the Natural resources, "Oil and Gas precisely. The whole country has its attention fixated on it. The rich and powerful mostly from other regions control and plunder the resources however they want, leaving the crumbs if any for the oppressed indigenes to glean. Admittedly, the leaders of the region are guilty of misappropriation and extreme profligacy. However, once the injustice is addressed from the center, it will be easier to confront the issues at home. Meanwhile, be informed, graft and mismanagement is not limited to the ND, it is a Nigerian thing, as leader from other regions cannot fully account for the allocations they have received over the years. So I reckon you agree it must begin from the centre. |
