Present your salary account, payslips and your savings account since you transfer money into it from other accounts and use the space to give brief details

That is just 240k for 2months salary, hardly enough for ticket let alone hotel accommodation.

Hello House,

I went to pick up my visa n my baby's today and guess what? We were granted visa! Thanks to evry1 that dropped comments on this thread. They were all helpful, God bless you all!

what I (believe) did to have a successful application?

I read through all the posts on this thread*- from 2011-till date; highlighted why some visas were granted and why some were not. Then I noted comments from all the Nairalanders esp. Justwise, Omo tier 1, Vicjustice etc. Then, I applied, even though I still made some mistakes but I guess they were overlooked by ECO( I learnt that word frm this forum , I still dont know the full meaning but I know it is synonymous to "Grant or refuse that Visa"wink.

My advise to guys that are about to ask questions on UK visa applications esp. visit visa; Pls read through the previous comments on this thread, most (if not all) of the questions have been answered IN DETAILS.

I hope this makes sense to the house. Goodluck to those that are about to submit applications and those awaiting response!

Thank you travelland, i appreciate your contribution , But kindly advice on how she can plan things well........ Although she has like 800k right now in her account but I am really confused with her 70-80k monthly income,Awaiting your advice.

Her salary is quite small, but her account balance looks okay depending on the cost of the trip to her. If she is sponsoring herself she needs to convince the ECO that she is quite comfortable in financially sustaining herself here in Nigeria with enough savings left over to afford a trip to UK. The way she answers the questions on her VAF is the main key in her case.

@justwise pls is it important or mandatory that my account must be running 6 month before I can apply for UK visa?or I can just go ahead if I have enough money to sponsor my trip within just 2 months of running my account constantly?

Yes it is compulsory, going ahead will be Instant refusal.

Hi,

Kindly help with this as soon as you can.

I was denied UK Student Visa around 2006. I didn't bother to apply thenceforth.

Right now, I am married with no kids and I wish to visit UK with my wife by Nov. My wife and I have siblings in the UK with resident permits and we are planning to visit them.

1. What type of Visa do I need this time around.

2. How much will it cost both of us.

3. What are the necessary do we need to get.

Please note that I work as IT Manager in Lagos and my wife is a full housewife.

Thanks

Hello all. A family friend was recently denied a visit visa and i'm so pissed off cos he was simply naive and had he asked questions before applying, should have easily gotten a visa. He is above 50, a Venerable(Priest) in the Anglican communion, has family (British citizens) in UK, got an invitation letter from a Canon in UK , has enough funds but yet was denied. From what i got, he was not able to explain "his travel costs/finances" very well during application eg his daily estacode is 300 pounds per diem etc etc.

My question now is, how soon can he re-apply? I am so pissed off I want to re-apply for him asap and have everything explained in details. Should we wait or undecided angry

Kai! A whole priest!!

Those ECOs no dey fear ni? grin

He can reapply immediately. Just help him with completing the financial section of the form and most importantly, attach a letter explaining in detail the purpose of his trip, how much he has set aside for the trip, how much he plans to spend, his strong ties to nigeria, etc.

Yes, its very safe. A refused applicant can reapply the very next day if he wishes.

the main thing is to ensure that all the points in the previous refusal are addressed during the reapplication and cover any other loose ends,

Not necessarily needed but adding it will not harm your application. You are not sponsoring the trip your company is.

Hello house, very useful info on this page. Kudos to y'all.

Pls I need assistance with these questions below.

I have gotten a six months visa, I have gotten a student visa and I had a post study visa which I didn't use(hope it won't affect my chance of getting a visa). Is it ok to apply for a six months visa?

Will a fixed deposit bank account statement be accepted? We will also be submitting our salary account statement but there is no fund in it.

It is ok to submit receipt of land that we are still paying for?

What is the average they expect us to spend for the trip, including tickets? (My hubby, our baby and I) we have a place to stay and we intend staying for two weeks.

Pls house kindly assist

How much is your combined monthly salary?
