chuna1985: The Nigerian government cannot correct all inequalities in the Nigerian Federation now. It will take time that is if it is even possible for the Government to do it. The Nigerian problem is structural, cultural and social. There is injustice in every facet of the society to all sections. There is injustice between social classes with one set of laws for the rich and another for the poor. There is injustice within all political units, with lagos with a population of 20millions having about 20 local governments while states in the north with less than 5 million have over 30. There is injustice in the sharing formula of our oil rents. It is we the people that can correct these inequalities, you and me. The ordinary Hausa, igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, masses, who benefit nothing from the Nigerian state. The politicians are only interested in having more share of the National cake, hence their interests are more states, local governments and federal character in appointments. The 36 state structure is too inefficient, wasteful and unsustainable. Imagine Awo running the whole western region on one government structure with very few commissioners, now the same political unit has been devided into 6 units with each unit have political, legislative and judicial structures, and you wonder why they can't pay salaries. where will they get the money for developmental initiatives like education, power and infrastructure. It is beyond madness that people are clamouring for more states. |

Another thread about Radio biafra ends up becoming "WE SS, I AM SS, SS hates IGBOS" dumping ground. Please people deal with the topic and leave your Niger delta tribe boogieman alone. Tell your government to stop the Radio station if they can. My hope is to see more Radio stations like this spread across the villages and towns of the Niger delta. Radio stations broadcasting in our tribal languages. We lived through 3 years of some of the most hateful media assault against Niger deltan tribes and Igbos in this country. Between 2012-2015, where was NBC, when Punch, leadership newspaper, Sahara reporters, Premium times, Osun Defenders were doing their daily and weekly tribal bashing in the name of Journalism. Most of you were not worried then? You don't like Radio biafra, please start your own. I support freedom of information, nothing is more important than information, let's do everything possible, to keep Radio stations, like Radio Biafra alive. Don't quote me, if you have nothing to say. |

Iykopee: There are a number of Rivers men that own oil wells. Ever heard of Moni Pulo owned by High Chief O. B Lulu-Briggs? Also check the name Odoliyi Lolomari. He owns a few oil wells and he is Kalabari from Rivers State. Educate yourself. |

fujirice: Almighty God, I pray the Igbo are allowed to get the Biafra they deserve without any further delay. Anyone who tries to stop them will be infested with a thousand flies. Let them go, biko. Na by force?? Nobody should persuade them to change their minds, oh! At least, we will know those who are left and willing to make Nigeria work. We know that within one month after they get their independence, they will still come back lobbying and begging for entry visas to get back into Nigeria as most of their shops, houses and businesses are located in different parts of Nigeria. At that time, everyone will know who is who. Even till now, they are unable to stay still in one place which is why you find them in strange countries (even those with unpronounceable names), 1 Like |

scachy: Please am begging you, don't come back to Nigeria asking for an entry visa once you finally get your country, oh! Make sure you excavate your houses, investments, structures etc, in different parts of Nigeria as you go along..... so that there will be no need for you to come back. Just do it. Thanks in advance. 2 Likes |

Spybradd: See this one....who asked you to speak for Edo people? Don't worry, the Edo people will soon give you the right answer you deserve, to panel beat your ignorant assumption. Did they hold a consultative assembly at any time to say they would join Biafra if it succeeds? Stop peddling lies, deceit and misguided statements here, oh. Or don't you know that thousands of Edo people also have Yoruba names, even those born in the Oba of Benin's palace? |

Buchukwu: Kai! You are the one that has just proved that stupidity and madness runs in your lineage. Your friend Iyokopee made a false allegation and it was debunked. You are now coming to ask how much did they get from the oil wells. ASk Lulu-Briggs. He was profiled in Forbes as one of Africa's 40 richest men recently, with the money he made from his oil wells. Even your sister Diezani made money from her own oil wells. Continue to sit behind your keyboard, propagating deceit...mugu! |

adonis89:You really do not know your history. England and Scotland were at war with each other for hundreds of years before they were unified. They became one country not through the will of their own people but through the Act of 1707. If England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Island were able to come together as a nation stronger than when they were apart with different cultures and languages, why can't we? I am in support of one Nigeria but if Igbos really would like to leave Nigeria, I urge them to do it peacefully. War is not a joke. |

Spybradd: You still have no right to speak for Edo people or decide for them where they should go. And most Edo people get along extremely well with people of the South-west. Most of the Edo people have enjoyed the hospitality of the South-west and will never describe them as 'betraying & backstabbing.' Which Edo man was betrayed by the South-west and when? So these your claims are nothing but lies ..... if you want to join Biafra nobody will stop only you and your family. Most of my Edo friends do not want anything to do with Biafra. |
