Sharia does not recognise Christians nor Sundays. They are testing grounds. Gradually, they will get where they want to.

The fooly of our people hurts to watch their stubbornness is something else entirely. An agenda that we all had been warned about the "WARNERS" screamed themselves sore but were labeled bigots and alarmists by the people who should have taken the warnings. Now that agenda is unfolding slowly [b]BEFORE OUR EYES[/b] but they are too proud to admit that they were wrong and seek to provide all sorts of rationalizations and explanations the policies formed of that agenda.

From the comments i av read so far, i now undastand why it remains easy to use nigerian youths as pawns by our political class....peopleare here quick to make this matter an issue of christian vs muslim. Truth is dat, this is a monthly thing i.e once a month...services can be adjusted to start by 10am. its undastandable that some people might prefer to be out of the church before 10, but its undeniable that churches can afford that flexibility of adjusting time for service...christians here claiming victims....there are hundreds of thousands of 'christians' who worship on saturdays as sabath, why are you not advocating for the scrapping of monthly sanitatiin of saturdays cos you love all minority? we should learn to be objective my people lest these politicians kip dividing us wit frivolous topics....

Some people shud stop being one-sided via der comment saying wont Christians attend service? The state is moslem dominated and they will attend "asalatu". So, who will be largely affected? Before una bring religion into the matter.

This what incomplete information can cause. Either the state commissioner did not explain the details of their plan especially knowing Christians go church on Sundays an need to know or the newspaper did not report the full information.

We should ask questions about the Christian population rather than attacking Islam.

This move by Kano State Government is most unfortunate. Why not on Fridays and Saturdays ? This is step one in their desperate moves to eliminate Christianity. Another Bokoharamic tendency !

So that Christians will not go to church

Se illiterate come out and talk nonsense. Dat means no 6 am mass on sanitation Sunday? Not possible shocked
Re: Kano Extends Monthly Sanitation To Sundays by Sobeautiful: 8:00am On Jun 28, 2015
Seriously? Are they aware that Christians go to Church on Sundays and at varying times? Some go to early morning mass while some have their services at other times. What does the state government intend to achieve with this new development? To officially stop them from their faith or to have control when Church services should hold, which they may shift to evening? That would be nothing but an infringement on their basic right. If the sanitation is so important to the state government that they need two days for it, why don't they start it on Friday? Why encroach into the Christian worship day? This is exactly how it starts and unfortunately some christians are here seriously applauding it, saying cleanliness is next to godliness, how important sanitation is and all that talk nobody would want to hear in a serious issue like this. Seriously shaking my head.

If you are not a muslim , this statement is an attempt to hide your head in the sand. Keep living in denial of what we all know is happning .The agenda is unfolding little by little couched in seemingly harmless and unrelated policies like this one above while you make excuses and explain them away until their teeth is barred and you can not deny things anymore.
Really? This is what you interpret this to mean. The Jihad? That Islam is trying to wipe out every other Religion? For Einstein sake, let's stop being defensive and paranoid...

What about the christians among them? Though they're the minority but they are also many. Does it mean there wont be any church services for them on sunday mornings? Do you understand the implications of such a policy?
Fully understood but you should understand that the sanitation might be in the early hours like 6am till 7. I won't read meaning to this.
Re: Kano Extends Monthly Sanitation To Sundays by Nobody: 8:09am On Jun 28, 2015
Christians, you guys are just waking up. Make una enjoy you hear. The fake pastors (including Osunbade) will not say anything about it.

The stupid almajiris will still expect oil from the Niger Delta.

Respect is the key to managing people. Christians who worship on sundays should be respected even if it's just one person.

I assure you love, this new policy won't hold water. It won't be effective, I agree that it is a mistake on their path but connecting it to religious bias is what irks me. We shouldn't.

there isn't a market in the South whose sanitation exceeds 12 noon on any day, if it passes 12 then with what time will the traders sell?
even if rights of muslims are being violated in the south, is retaliating the best way to go about it?

you are clearly a bigot, and I don't count the northerners socially and emotionally developed enough to be worthy of being my country men.
I will disregard your last paragraph.
I agree that the South hardly exceed 12 as you said, and I have said in previous posts that it is a mistake on the path of those who made this policy and it can't even be effected. But connecting this to religious hate is what beats me.

Are you threatening him? Just know that some people has the power to be as violent as you guys if they choose to. Religion is a sensitive issue and yet you guys don't have any respect for others religion.
I don't think I fall into any category of the aforementioned. I really think you guys are getting it twisted. I am not defending the morality of this new law but what gives me the creeps is that most of you see it as a religious hate and intention to frustrate Christians. NO!

This's what happens when what should be a part of your everyday life is done on monthly basis.
No one should be forced to engage in sanitation at any time of the week and month. Keep you surroundings clean always, anytime convenient for you. Christians should do their sanitations on friday if that will make them happy, and moslems on sunday if they wish. Environmental Health officials should ensure people keep their surroundings clean.
Let all Moslems go to Mosque on Fridays without hinderance. Same goes to Saturday sabbath keepers and sunday worshipping christians.

it isnt religious, it is regional.
I dont dislike quataris as much as I dislike Hausa-fulanis.
Islam isnt the problem of the north, Islam only compounds it.

People get emotional when it comes to issues like this, even when they know it can not be of effect.
If I have my way, I'd rather sanitation is done on every sundays, then sunday worshippers must be respected

I hope he knows that Christians go to church on Sundays or does he think there are no Christians in the state?

If there is no ulterior motive behind choosing Sundays (as they would claim) then the exercise can as well begin from Friday afternoon till Sunday.
I mean, there is no religious motive behind it, it's all for a cleaner environment so there should be no problem at all.
In fact, the State will be much cleaner if 3 days are dedicated to sanitation. Not so? undecided
