I agree with you totally, it is about the longest period with so much anxiety and stuff. But you must realize that its not by might nor by power, just relax as much as you can, pray as if everything depends on prayers, take ur drugs religiously, do things that make u happy. The same God who did it for us is also able to fix it up for you. Congrats in advance, we will hear your testimony in Jesus name....Amen.
@All, am sure God is doing us good, I have been waiting for some of our sisters to come share some startling testimonies of what God has done for them, well if I still wait upto Friday and they don't come around I will do it myself, lol. God is truly faithful and He will visit all the waiting mums in this forum. God bless you all.

After your egg collection , fertilization and transfer the extra embryos are frozen. So if you need to try another cycle again the embryos that were frozen will be thawed and you only have to do egg transfer. Although you will still be one medication to prepare your lining and all that. But at least no ovulation induction and no egg retrieval. So the fees should also be less than a full cycle.

I guess a fee might be paid for the freezing depending on how long before you habe the next transfer.

I had to do a freeze all cycle because I have PCOS and my doctor noticed I had a tendency to become hyperstimulated.

I am yet to transfer and my embryos are chilling at the moment. And I read it can be kept frozen for some years sef. You can read more on it so have a better knowledge when meeting your doctor.

I do not reside in Nigeria though. But you can ask incase it is available at your clinic.

My dear, we ve all been der one time or d other. Don't despair. I want 2 congratulate u for having Faith in d 1st place Cos 4d fact dat u ventured into ds route shows u ve Faith u can ve a child/children. Wat I expect frm u now is 2 build on dat Faith. Put ur entire Trust in God.
When my 1st attempt failed, it was as though my entire world wud come 2 an end. But one tin I realised was dat if it had bin sucessful, I wud ve ascribed d success(glory) unconciously 2 my change in diet, lifestyle & 2 an extent, d hosp & even d Dr. Becos I was 2 faithful 2d drug regimen, stoped sugars, lived on veggies/fruit, stayed indoors almost d entire period, used a dependable clinic wit professional expertise etc & Yet got a BFN.
Why am I saying ds? I've Learnt from ds dat ' its not he dat willeth nor he dat runneth, but of God dat showeth Mercy. Only God can cause implantation 2 happen & dats wat u need. Be comforted & thankful dat u can afford d proceedure. Yes! Use a reliable clinic & be sure everytin humanly possible is in place But Place God in d Bigger Picture & depend Completely on his Mercies.
Cheer up my dear! Ur babies are by d corner already.

ENERGY CRISIS
The number one complaints physician hear today is "I'm tired of feeling tired" There may be many reason for this but crucial evidence is pointing these factors.
• Important and life-sustaining nutrients are missing from the modern day diet; these critical factors are stripped from our foods for prolonged shelf life.
• People are making wrong food choices and eating themselves into an early grave.
We expect a lot from our bodies, energy, health, longevity and success- but if we neglect our health, our bodies stop functioning properly.
Lipids and sterols are fats found in wheat, rice and soy
• Lipids feed and repair the cell membrane
• Sterols are responsible efficient cellular energy production.
This discovery resulted in the unique and powerful formula known as: TRE-EN-EN GRAIN CONCENTRATES. This three-in-one formula delivers nature's most powerful cellular nutrients right to cellular level.
Scientific tests show superior results. Series of studies at Texas A&M University confirmed that Tre-en-en:
• Enable better use of available nutrients
• Enhance cardiovascular development
• Provide greater adrenal activity resulting in increase energy level and improved respond to stress.
Are you making possible for the body to receive the nutrients it needs?
Try as you might, diet alone will not give you all the nutrients it needs for efficient cellular energy production.
Researcher tell us that 95% of people do not get enough of the nutrients needed for good health and 75% of people consume the kinds of foods that actually cause harm!
Use Tre-en-en to balance your diet today!
Do you eat every day? Yes of course! Then use Tre-en-en to kick out chemicals, preservatives and free radicals that may follow the foods you eat and get the nutrients. Prevent killer diseases like stroke, diabetes, heart disease, cancer etc.

TRE-EN-EN CAN ALSO BE USED TO:
o Boost energy and give stamina
o Boost sperm count, sexual drive, reverse weak erection(especially if you add masculine herbal and chelated zinc)
o To help recover from paralysis (especially in children)
o Stop the spreading of cancer
o Boost the potency of antibiotics/make drugs work faster
o Restore menstrual circle to normal
o Boost fertility and make easier and quicker for women to get pregnant (Especially if you add feminine herbal and chelated zinc)
o Boost the quality of breast milk and help children good set of teeth.
o Reduce blindness in diabetic patient and other vision problems
o To correct dental problems, gum and decay problem (add fiber tablets)
o Help epilepsy and other mental problems
o Eradicate eczema, dry skin, wrinkles

While it's good that you mention this, sometimes an holistic approach is required with additional medical intervention needed to help couples who are struggling to conceive. I fully support healthy living and the use of the correct supplements but the best part of my experience with couples who are undergoing fertility treatment is seeing the look on their faces when they get the news that they are expecting a newcomer to their family and that the process has been successful! smiley

@teana4040 - thank you for the welcome smiley

@sandy4real pls take it easy during this period - we are eagerly anticipating your good news!!

Pls ladies for those who have already gone through your IVF cycle, how well did you recover after EC? The reason is we had have a provisional holiday booked in september. Now that we have been given our dates for our cycle, I've seen that EC is estimated to be one week before we travel. Do you guys think I will still be ok to travel? I was told it's unlikely I will suffer from OHSS since I don't have PCOS. Thanks

I don't think u ve an issue with dat. As soon as d drowsy effect of d aneasthesia wears off, u're good 2 go.
But if I get u rite, if EC is a week b4 u travel, ET will be 2 days b4 u travel if u're going for Blastocyst transfer. And don't u tink its not 2 safe 2 travel 2days after ET. My hosp advise u avoid any travel 4 at least 3 days. Baby dust

Thanks annibro for your reply. Thing is we won't be having ET same month as any embryos we have will be undergoing genetic testing which can take up to 3 weeks so praying that we have any viable ones left, it will be November before we do the transfer and I would definitely be taking it easy that period grin

EC - egg collection
ET- embryo transfer

I will be doing short protocol (SP) and have been told it will be like 10 days but my guess is that long protocol will be more than that? Am sure odas will advise better.

The stimulation time varies. I guess it depends on the response to the medication. I started stimming on day 2 and egg collection was on day 16. So 14 days total.

One of my longest 14 days of the calendar.

so sorry about ur DH case. has he done hormonal analysis? azoo is of 2types
1. obstructive
2. non obstructive
if ur DH has high FSH, it indicate non-obstructive and d only option is Assisted reproduction. u need to visit a good urologist probably dis UK guru urologist, Mr. J Ramsay (u can read frm BCOLAH). he needs to be placed on some specific drugs + ivf-icsi + TESE. all d best dear

You can imagine the dr telling me if i want to do IUI 6times before doing IVf, anyway that is his opinion but that is not God's opinion about me.
We've decided to use a diff hosp. We're thinking of using St Ives or Regenesis.
Pls i need advise from my efamily.
Thanks all

We ve people on ds thread who used & had BFP from Regenesis. If u can go back some pages, I think Faithful wife used dem too. As for St ives, am not too sure of their history. If u can go tru old post or better still, just type their names on the search box & click for easy access 2 were these hosp were mentioned & read peoples encounter wit dem.
Where do u recide? It'll also help people 2 advice u better. Baby dust
