It is of general note that there's always massive migration to more economical viable location; reasons for the massive immigration of Africans into Europe/America *now Asia and Aussies.

Despite all the assertion you've made, the ibos keeps throbbing those region(N&W) as there's also indication of massive immigration from the eastern region to the North and the West in search of what *Supremacy?* or greener pasture from a region that you more advance/educated than.

*Imp, It should be other way around*

My question now is what went wrong with the Alaigbo/Ndigbo Nation? Why the wandering spirit and neglect of it intellect people and advance hospitality region?

Kindly please educate us.

Thank you.

^^^You ask 'what went wrong with Alaigbo/Ndigbo'? Sharing the same country with people like you is what happened!......If you don't know how Alaigbo/Ndigbo has/have been cheated, marginalized, balkanised and robbed by your ilk then you must have just arrived from Uranus!

I've always posited that for Ndigbo to reach our full potential in life, either the polity needs to be restructured or we need to be in a separate country from the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba.....no other way!

I wont lie, am a yoruba guy, the Eastern region was ahead of other regions in the clamour for an independent Nigeria. Also Ibos have a remarkable enterpreneurial spirit, and they will go anywhere, even in the clutches of death, to do business!

Chief Janet Mokelu (Right) pictured alongside Chief Margaret Ekpo.

Mokelu, a native of Oraifite, Anambra State, alongside Margaret Ekpo made history as two of the first women to be elected in a regional parliament in Nigeria. Both were elected into the Eastern Nigeria House of Assembly in 1961.

CC: sweetlemon.... this is one of the reason your opinion about easterners con-Biafra do not matter, you know nothing, not even our history, u spend all ur life in Lagos but claim to know the mind of we Akwa Ibomites who live close to our brothers in the east.

When I read one of your post where you stated the "Ojukwu liquidated Banjo and his family" I was embarrassed on your behalf as it was clear your knowledge of history was not just poor; it was disgraceful. Learn more about your history Mr Man. Then a lot of things can be seen with lucidity.

This is self explanatory isn't it? The war set the Igbo tribes back obviously. This, coupled with subsequent marginalisations after the war meant they were always going to play a catch up.

Op @ Lovesdaisied Can you put 'viewers discretion' warning on your title to warn people of the morbid picture of the king. A bit disturbing.

In as much as the war took igbo's Back doesn't mean is the Reason u always find them in every region or country, we have that spirit of habitating anywhere, Igbo's were in Lagos b4 d war, we are hardworking and adapt to any condition.. am proud to be an igbo man

I hope people take notixe of this, Nnamdi Azikiwe was a great man? he was a great thinker.. when awolowo wanted the east and west to split as one country he resisted it because he knew that it is western Nigerians that hate Igbos not the northerners, 60 years later we are seeing what he said

Igbo land will be great again, but only if we galvanize as a people this coming 4 years, let us choose a leader and breed him to take us to the promised land,

if government doesnt. uild a seaport for us cant we the south eastern states band together and build one?

let us stop crying for government and do somethings ourselves because no other person gives a Bleep about us

You f00l yourself. The so called Asian Tigers are basically driven by the big 2: China & Japan. Now, if you never heard about those 2 when history is concerned, I will say I understand.

Hello I would like to conduct an indepedent research on the early press in Onitsha.

Anyone to direct me to access to newspaper materials especially pre-colonial era of Onitsha.

I find something missing in knowledge about the press of those days.

Meanwhile ...Igbo Kwenu ...Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shocked

its not necessary Nigeria is a nation indivisible even onitsha also no man's land ok

Are you well at all? Even if Nigeria is an indivisible nation, why wouldn't you want the Eastern region have their own seaport so that lagos will be less populated? What's your fear?
