Duru1 is very silly..

It doesn't matter much if Ikwerres spoke Igboid or share customs with Igbo, we simply arent Igbo and its a collective awareness..We have a name for Igbos and its ISOMA or RumuISOMA.

Being neighbours and having similarities with Igbos doesnt give Igbos the right to attempt to coerce us into accepting what we aren't.

There is a acceptable limit to everything and this continuous coercion is both immoral and illegal and will be vehemently resisted by Ikwerres.

If Igbo cant stay on their own, they can join Cameroon, Ikwerre cared less.

I too, let the fraudsters continue using religion to deceive innocent Imolites.

Rochas has done well for the ones he has done considering Imo state resource allocation and IGR.

Let those who want to lie to themselves keep up with the delusions. Those same people have refused to acknowledge the level of change we have suddenly experienced in Nigeria in less than 100 days or sometimes find one way or the other to associate the success in power and oil sector to Jonathan.

Even if all of Imo State is paved with gold, they will ask why not platinum.

It is annoying when you insult Igbos because of few people who are oblivious of reality. Igbo actually needs nothing from Ikwerre other than the misunderstood language affiliation. Igbos as a result of very diverse origin and spoken dialects generally believe every Igbo speaker is an Igbo man.

And for your information even Owerri, Okpala, Ngor and Ohaji people still call other Igbos Isoma like your Ikwerre but we call other Igbos but Egbema onyeigbo including your Ikwerre.

You are one of the silliest fools ever posted on Nairaland. According to dullards such as you, Ikwerre is Edoid. There is no rapscallion of Ikwerre background that will share customs with Igbo. How can Edoid share anything with Igbo? Uratta uses the word - “ Isoma” for non-Uratta fellows yet Uratta is not Ikwerre and certainly not Edoid as most moronic Ikwerre have claimed. Look jackass, I play no poker and I take my ancestral home very seriously.

I do not give ratass about those nitwits who suddenly denounced their ancestral homes. I hate to see anything Ikwerre injected into serious discussion by the red bloodied Igbo son or daughter.

My aunt is married to the so-called Ikwerre peep and since after Nigeria/Biafra civil war when dumbass Ikwerre people began to deny their ancestral lineage, I have completely forgot everything about her and the roads her place.

I guess you have not followed my stand on that bridge. My stand has always been same ever. Follow the link I posted on the topic about Niger bridge collapsing.

Here's my contribution on that topic.

Lol! Nnamdi Azikiwe was a ceremonial President but
the Prime Minister was Abubakar Tafawa Balewa. I
only wrote that as a response to the tribalist who
wanted to blame Northerners. Amaechi the other day
listed what Northerners did in Rivers State and it
cannot be disputed. My take is that y'all should stop
creating North/South dichotomy and face the real
issue.

I want Igbos to build that bridge without being ridiculed
by Jonathan or whoever is in charge. I will personally
donate 10million and I expect other Igbos to do alike
according to their capability. We can raise the money
in one month.

Okorocha’s strides are not well known – Madumere, deputy gov

on August 28, 2015 / in Politics 12:00 am

Prince Eze Madumere, the deputy governor of Imo State was before his entry into the political fray an entrenched player in the private sector having been an executive of Pepsi Cola in the United States. In this interview he reviews developments in his state, efforts towards boosting industrialisation of the state and gives a peep into the life and manner of Governor Rochas Okorocha. Excerpts:

What was your transition from the private sector into an active player in politics like?

We give God the glory, for everything that He has provided us. The Almighty Father is the ultimate who makes all things possible. So, we are grateful to God, for wherever I have found myself today, it is God first and the next person is Rochas Okorocha.

The truth of the matter is having come in from where I came from, the United States, some of the things I have seen are not what I envisaged, the challenges that are involved in governance and the individuals that make up governance are the challenges in themselves.

How was the agitation for an Owerri governor minimised that an Orlu man was returned again as governor?

Rochas Okorocha is quite an example of a detribalized and not a zonal leader. My leader, our leader, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is a man of inspiration. Today, more than 75 per cent of the infrastructure is in Owerri Zone. The other 25 per cent is shared between Okigwe and Orlu. You have a governor who believes in putting projects not because of where he comes from, but based on the fact that it is good for Imo State.
Today, for example, we are talking about industry, industry, industry, factory, factory, factory! We have gone back to bring back the old Mbakwe factories. For instance, card board packaging industry is in Owerri not in Orlu. We have recovered that. De Raising Paint is in Mbaise here, Owerri Zone, we have recovered that. These things will now start coming in place. We have got some Italians trying to bring back those apex factories. These are the things that were lying fallow for over thirty years. Now, this governor is not thinking about his village. He is not thinking about his own person. This is a governor who makes sacrifice, who goes through pains every day, just to make sure that Imo people and Ndi Igbo are recognized in this country.

People have different views of Okorocha. As one who has associated with him for over two decades what is your candid view of the man?
The man, Rochas Okorocha is a philanthropist. He is a family man. He is a man you will love to be close to. Rochas Okorocha I know is vehement but his brain is faster than clock. For you to be able to meet up with him, you must come a little closer. Just imagine, someone you’ve been with for over two decades, by now I could have told you I have a PhD on him. No, I do not.

By the time, you get closer; my boss will keep shifting the goal post. He is a man who likes challenges. He is an adventurer. He believes in a thing, then, it is achievable. He is not too perfect a person. He is a man who is also very eager and open to learning from you. As he is holding a conversation with you, he is picking up one or two things from you, but you don’t know. The day he will use them, he will say remember the day you said.

Within the context of the Imo Rescue Mission, have you developed your personal vision for Imo?
My oga’s vision subsumes mine. And that is the way it is.

Free education
As much as I operate with my oga, you only have one captain at a time.

What is the weight of the free education project on the government?
Free education has run for four years now, and free education has come to stay. It is what people never believed was possible.

The opposition never believed that it could happen and the doubt is with them till today. I don’t think that we as a government have done very well in giving free education the publicity it deserves. It seems like there is this shadow as if there is, may be, a Rochas magic. No, there is a practical thing on the ground. We have three major tertiary institutions owned by the State – one of them, Imo State University.

Gov. Okorocha's deputy says it all: 75% of Okorocha's project are in his state capital - one or two Lgas.

25% are for the other 26 or 25 Lgas.

What a way to govern a state.

But my question is this, can't they see the present condition of Onitsha-Enugu expressway or they criticise federal road only when it falls in Imo state?

Okay, I agree with you: gov. Okorocha concentrated 75% of his development projects in Owerri zone

But where were citizens of Imo state when Okorocha was doing this foul play? Why did people not shout foul?

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by mandax: 10:43pm On Aug 28, 2015
They didn't.

If they did;

if members of Imo House of Assembly are truly represeting their local government councils, Gov. Okorocha wouldn't have succeded in building 75% of his government's development infrastructure in Owerri.

Okorocha was sworn in as governor of the whole of Imo state, not 75% governor of Owerri.

Kai millionnairnaija, you and your propaganda against Rochas.

To me, Rochas has tried for Orlu, Orlu is a small Town and can not compete with Owerri in terms of social development.

Orlu as a small town has received what it can receive under Rochas. Everything can not be taken to Orlu just because Rochas is from the zone. What of Okigwe?

Orlu has more social development than other towns of its level. Just be truthful and appreciative to Rochas.

To survive, Orlu does business with Onitsha, but only road that links Orlu to Onitsha is gone - beginning from the Anambra state section to Orlu.

Orlu has little or no business with Owerri. The Orlu-Akokwa road is hardly traveled - but Okorocha builds these two federal roads.

Okorocha's predecessor did not wait for Obasanjo to rebuild the Orlu to Ihialla road which sustains Orlu and Okorocha's Ideato. His predecessors also rebuilt the Orlu to Akokwa road and were proposing to provide portable water to Orlu zone.

Orlu is now in decay. But one good thing: one day, Okorocha shall no longer be Imo governor to devote 75% of development in Imo to the state capital.
If he refused to repair the roads and stadium he damaged in Orlu, he is closing the road for other Ideatos who in future may seek for votes under the name - Orlu zone.

For the records Obasanjo rehabilitated the Ihiala- Anara-Umuahia Road, rebuilt the Owerri-Onitsha road (90%) and Yar'adua/Jonathan rehabilitated the Oba-Nnewi-Okigwe road up to Imo/Anambra boundary . If you choose to lie to yourself so be it. I hope you will appreciate if Buhari gives us the needed attention.

Our people should approach the election
with the open mind of having a President with the
capability of meeting their common good or desire
and not on the irrelevant basis of kith and kin.

They should look at serious issues of promises not kept,
yet seeking their mandate again, when the one they
gave in 2011 with the promise and expectation of
having the federal roads (Enugu-Onitsha Expressway,
Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Aba-Uyo Road,
Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene Road, Ihiala- Orlu-Anara-
Umuahia Road, Okigwe-Nnewi- Oba Road, 9th Mile-
Nsukka-Oturkpo-Makurdi Road, Owerri-Port Harcourt
Road, the 2nd Niger Bridge, etc) in the zone
reconstructed, and the Akanu Ibiam airport really
becoming a fully fledged international airport with
many international airlines fully operating at the
airport and not just one with mere sophistry and
barely operating one African airline which its plane
departs Enugu and transfers its passengers at Addis
Ababa and be guided properly. They should look at
the need for change and redirection and not being
fooled by such mundane and primordial sentiments,
yet if it were the other way round no minority ethnic
group in the south south will ever support onye Igbo to
become the President of the country, let alone getting
their support for a second or third term. Since 2011
instead of the unemployment rate of south easterners
going down it is rather unfortunately rising, yet they
have someone they call their own at the helm of
affairs.

abagoro my dear, I can't lie against anybody because I get nothing from doing that.

Udenwa government rehabilitated Ihialla to Orlu road to Anara and Amaraku first thing during its first term, because Udenwa was able to understand the importance of the road to economic growth in Orlu; later, the federal government refunded IMSG.
The same government built the Orlu sport stadium which Okorocha government destroyed.
The same government built the Orlu to Umuowa to Nkwume road which Okorocha government scrapped and abandoned in the last four years. Add the total length of Ihioma road, Amaibo rd, Owus Avenue and the other which Okorocha made double lane, they don't add up to the length of the destroyed Orlu-Umuowa-Nkwume road.

Okorocha is now with the ruling party, if he can repair vital federal roads in Imo state and ask the federal government for refund, we shall be singing praises for him.

You are lying. Why the lies? Obasanjo government rehabilitated the road and awarded the Orlu-Owerri road and Onitsha-Owerri road to Julius Berger. He equally awarded the Ihiala to Anara as well as Oba to Okigwe. I wonder why you would twist glaring truth.

The Orlu Nkume Road has never been good to the best of my knowledge. There was somewhere around Menacorde cut almost 10 years ago by erosion. What you should do is to bring your problem to the Governor than accuse him falsely.

Having traveled through the length and width of the south east, I have seen with my eyes and concluded that Goodluck was the worst thing that happened to the south east. The federal roads in Imo state are even fair when compared to our brother state Abia state. Aba to Ikot Ekpene is a death trap. Aba to Port harcourt will destroy your car for ever. Owerri to Port harcourt road will spoil your engine forever. Enugu to Onitsha road will cause you malaria. The list is endless. Let nobody crucify Okorocha unjustly. We should tackle him in his own failings and not in the idiotic failings of Goatluck!

Not just Southeast but South south. Right now the only road into Port-Harcourt is East/West road. There is no road connecting Akwa Ibom and Cross River States to the rest of Nigeria.

Jobless animal jumping from thread to thread commenting like a gate crashed lunatic. Aren't you ashamed of your sorry self? Go and get yourself busy for once instead of commenting incoherently on every thread you can sight on NL.

I have warned you to stay away from Anambra thread, whatever you want to say it must not be on the thread, take it to your useless and worthless imo state. Very soo you shall find what you are looking for here and now.

Guy you need to visit a psychiatric hospital. Catholic pulled out of CAN because Jonathan made it a political forum. Your Biafra cannot even fight Catholic population in Igboland. Like the guy above wrote, Nnamdi Kanu should desist from creating religious crisis in Igboland.

Yeah, you are right. Calabar to Uyo road is a night mare. Obasanjo and Yaradua gave us a better sense of belonging. Goodluck was a failure. Igbos who supported him were mere praise singers. Obi, Iwuanyanwu,Uba, Anyim were busy enriching themselves while forcing the slowpoke down on us.
