This is a press release from the EFCC.

The public is hereby notified that Jerry Ogbonna Obike Phillip, whose photograph appears above is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a case of stealing. Phillip allegedly withdrew the sum of N45, 000,000.00 (Forty Five million naira) which was mistakenly credited into his account in a new generation bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria before the money could be reversed to its rightful owner.

Whatever that is in the land belongs to the owner of the land therefore, this isn't stealing at all. The money was mistakenly credited to his account and he mistakenly withdrew the money thinking that it was his own.

Abeg if u re related to EFCC abi CBN, they should just credit half of that money to my account, I want my picture all over the world while I enjoy my money.

The present nigerian economy is not helping me, so if EFCC looking for me will change my Economic state, I welcome it..

Come on guys! I would not want to believe things have gotten
this bad. Majority of the post thus far, seems to be hailing the
action of the man.

The man would have saved himself all the stress. He will definitely
be apprehended when he least expected and then he will have to pay
back even much more than what he stole.

My bible tells me "stolen bread is sweet, but it shall soon turn to gravel in the mouth"

What if the man had had a heart attack and died on seeing the money, would the bank be held responsible?

This country is a joke. The man committed no crime. Why the hell did they publish his details for all to see? At least he didn't take the money at gun point neither did he conned anybody for the money. They should ve quietly looked for the man and ask for their money back in a more matured manner. Now they ve compounded everything. If I were to be the man, I will get a good lawyer and sue their incompetent asss for infamous defamation.

What crime is he being charged for ??

Bunch of unprofessional individuals.
If he had a heart attack and died when he saw the money in his account, who will take the responsibilities for his death ?? The bank ??
