Lol and what is that based on? Nigeria isn't part of NATO or does Nigeria have a defence agreement with the US UK Israel or Germany that I don't know about? The US will probably impose sanctions and talk or use Nigeria as another proxy war, but don't expect US boots on the ground in Nigeria. I don't see a war breaking out, more Iran funding and arming Shiite militia in Nigeria, but if a war were to break of we should get help from AU members as nigeria has been active on peace keeping missions in Africa. cyprex:at the bolded, may be you are cut off from current news. Cameroonian army came into a part of our country, killed our fellow citizens and burnt their houses. What did your President do? Chadian army did same, what did your President do? the army opened fire on fellow citizens, killed them, went to their houses at midnight, kiiled the remaining ones and burnt down their houses. What did your President do? They could be your relations. Forget about territorial integrity. I don't need to support any President with whom I don't feel safe under. Whom I believe my fundamental human rights mean nothing to him. I don't need to always like people who from their statements hate me. Your claimed moving train has a dead irreparable engine. Even Muslim leaders do warn them of their behaviour, so the courageous Nigeria Army felt the desire to clamp them and break their feathers. How can u be in Nigeria and create up own laws against the laws of the land. God bless Nigeria Army God bless President Buhari God bless Nigeria God bless Me APCsupporter: |

OYAY: Before you begin use national sovereignty as an excuse to justify aligning to Saudi Arabia to the point of severing diplomatic relations with Iran , I want to ask what exactly is it that a multi religious Nation like Nigeria stand to gain by taking side in a secular conflict? If the Buhari govt goes ahead to kill or execute El Zackzacky they will only end up making him a martyr. His continued detention will only serve as a rallying call by the Shiites to protest religious intolerance in Nigeria towards their members and justify any terror attacks on Nigerians home and abroad. It will also serve to bolster anti Shiite groups in the crazy north to attack blindly any shiite thereby setting off another round of sectarian strife in the battered north. Please kindly tell me who is the real puppet here if not the Buhari govt who is blindly using his religious beliefs and sentiments to bring anarchy to the Nigeria and Nigerians |

jonnieoneng: This reason is why islam is banned in several Nations China, Angola and so many of them now. They kill themselves and extend the level of brutality to other religions. But the "kill or be killed " theory is mostly exercised by Sunni Muslims who follow the laws letter for letter from.the Sunnah( Mohammedans laws) The reason for the hatred is because the Shia muslims don't regard the first three caliphs (khalifa) as their own. They follow the rights of Ali, who the mantle was stolen from. It was said that Ali preached the gospel and it was accepted in Persia (present day iran) This is why they ask you in Iraq, "what is your name ", "where do you live", "how do you pray". The moment you show them, and they see you Shia, they apprehend you, read the rules and then choose a very brutal way to kill the person. Most times they tie the person to two cars and move in two different directions, thus dividing the person in 2 equal halves. The followership of the Sunnah is one bloodthirsty one. And since no one accepts it,they result to compulsory measures or die. This is why the Shia and sunni has been in disagreement, and it dates back to nearly 1400 years ago. 1 Like |

Newmanluckyman: What do countries stand to benefit from interfering in the governance of another sovereign state/country "when they don't have investments in it, or proposed investment?" all countries have specific reason at specific times for interference but for nigeria/iran and religious belief? Not economic? I don't think it makes sense- rewanda, america and other countries were selling weapons, Libya the lockabe bombing of a plane over ireland from a supposed 3rd world country, well that country needed to be checked, other issues of threats to immediate European neighbours gives room for questioning, Palestine/isreal bilateral agreements between america and a problem of a state within a state bruhaha and it's a country in which history favours Christianity but Islam has come to encroach on some of what they hold important, imagine a church and the place where a disciple was buried - now turned into a mosque- and they don't allow Christians to worship their again' these are the infractions - a beg I can talk again* |

AlPeter: Why does the NATO body exist if there are no allies? The Japanese government changed is non aggression laws late year to enable their army to join allied forces in an event of war. Why did the Japanese government do this? Nations have shared interest and have policies that are very intertwined. zakzaky as a person may not be so important to the Iranians because he is a black man. The matter on ground is the Nigerian government through its actions seems to be aligning with Saudi Arabia against Iran. A Saudi Arabian Shia was executed a few days ago and the Iranians burnt down parts of the Saudi Arabian embassy. The Iranians only protested peacefully after 100 black people were extrajudicially killed at Zaria. They don't care about us. In fact, if Iran had no issue with Saudi Arabia, it wouldn't matter whatever we do to zakzaky. But this is not the case, so we need to thread carefully. Moreover, why sacrifice one black life over a fight we have nothing to do with. We are not Arabs or are we? 1 Like |

Nigeria did not get where she is in the diplomatic circles from being an aggressive nation but by towing the line of dialogue. Nigerian security forces have been engaged abroad not for war but for peacekeeping and our reputation of not taking any side unless unilaterally decided by the AU or UN is why Nigeria was considered for the UN Security council seat. Our Foreign policy has always steered clear of any axis and we have been signatory members of the Non Aligned Committee of Nations since the Cold war era. To take us from our neutral position for the sake of religious attachment in a secular Nation like Nigeria is not only very dangerous but highly foolish and says a lot about the kind of people heading this current govt. 1 Like 1 Share |

Newmanluckyman: Nigeria is no where near an islamic nation. The Constitution gives a hand to islam doesn't justify the quran and Sharia laws else, you wouldn't be having a free time now. To even toast woman around your area go even hard you . This is a democratic system of government we practice here, if we had islamic laws, freedom of speech would have been the last on the list. Get your facts right. |

Did boko haram not start this way in Nigeria when they killed that thier Muhammed of a guy, they dispersed, many went to train somewhere in Ethiopia, many Iraq, many went to syria, lybia, many went to Somalia, many to Mali etc. When they came back, they grouped and formed what is befalling nigeria today - Boko haram. Your useless president who doesn't have a single idea what he's doing is keeping this man in detention nd forming deaf ears, suppose IPOB, Shi'a and niger delta team up and Fight buhari, shay he would have liver to fight back? Do you know that they have been blocking roads for several years and we(the Sunnis) didn't take action? You will see them swearing that nobody can pass and even insulting us but nobody cared to take action. We have enough numbers to totally eradicate them if we want to.
