You have a beautiful daughter that is suppose to be your world and you are denying her a mother's love and care just because somebody somewhere decided to be hateful. Your sister inlaw is your sister inlaw you cant change that but what you can change is allowing her to meddle in your family affair...its about time you put her in her very place!! A precious child given to you by God and a mere mortal is questioning you of her birth. i believe you are the one that gave her the opportunity in the first place to interfere in your LIFE!! who is she to tell you your house looks crappy?? does she wants you to use the money to take care of your child to cater for her comfort?

My dear take hold of the situation in your life/home/marriage and seek ways to mend whatever is broken. Pray always for your husband, be a good wife to him even when it seems like the most difficult thing to do and one day he will realize all the wrongs he had done to you and will return to make amends. Love that precious daughter of yours and dont allow anybody to ever make her feel she is not loved because if you continue with this drama and she reaches the age of accountability, she will definitely recognize that fact.

i have been married for 6years, have had 4miscarrages in 4 of those 6years yet despite all the negativity i receive from my husband family, i have learn to keep my face up..looking unto God and waiting for His appointed time. i am a first timer here, this is my first post (yipppyyy) and i am inspired and encouraged by all the discussions ongoing,we shall all triumph. for the last 3years after my last miscarriage i have been TTC but with no success so my hubby and i have decided to go through IVf so i know with all my heart that i will soon bear my child(ren) in my arms very soon.

Good luck to us all!!

So I have been closely following this page for some time now and decided to comment for the first time. I usually do not like to talk about my tcc journey until after my first failed IVF with St Ives. I have uncountable reasons to thank God. That I am alive, well and of sound mind is purely by the mercies of God. Many that we started together are gone, I was in no way better than them.

Lots of stories, to summarize my experience, in 7yrs, I’ve been thru hormonal drugs, medications, herbs, surgeries, procedures, tubes that were once patent became blocked, can’t count the number of hospitals visited etc etc etc.

With my first IVF that failed, the hospital had zero one on one relationship, no personalized protocol, I have shifted the bitterness aside, but they should have done better (this is a feedback to the hospital if they are reading, it’s highly disappointing when you have to spend so much money and your doctors don’t have your best interest at heart. Money isn’t easy to come by). I have learnt a lot from this tread and I’m better informed. Arming myself with notes when next I have any appointment.

It’s been a roller coaster ride, for now I’ve taken a break from drugs, working on getting an ideal weight, eating well, exercising, googling adoption process in Naija, gathering funds and of course praying that God should reverse the irreversible.

For everything God brings along our way, as long as we are children of God, I believe it is for a purpose and not an accident but to make us a blessing to others who also have to go through that path. ‘’2 Cor 1 v 4: who comforts us in our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God.’’ I’m sure the likes of Blendy and Psm 23 (I think) whose post drew me to take a closer look at this thread has blessed a lot of people including me.

My testimony is that the days of pity, ups and lows are gone by His grace. I remember when I left the house with door ajar, during one of my depression episodes. By the time I came back, I was looking for my keys when my neighbour walked up to me with the keys and told me that we left the door opened while the AC was on. He had to lock the door when he found out no one was in. I also remember a time when I was so lost in thought I drove into a familiar one way road and into the hands of Lastma officials. See rivers of tears that day.

While it’s easier said than done, one of the things that has changed about me is that I deliberately make myself come out depression when burdens draw down on my spirit. I bask in singing and thanksgiving, surround myself with the things I love, so I’ve been in top spirit consistently of recent. I also speak about my issues now to encourage people (not anybody) which eases a lot of bottled up emotions. We are responsible for our own happiness, we may have husbands, families or in-laws that care less. Let them take care of their lives while I take care of mine if they have no valuable thing to offer. Look beyond the mocking looks, talk about your experiences to encourage other women going through same issues, do the things you love and love yourself, laugh, shout, read to yourself God’s promises in faith and not in fear, supernatural childbirth is a book of Gods promises concerning conception and childbirth, I’ve also heard of Gods waiting room (would soon get a copy myself), speak to your body, hormones, reproductive organ, seeking medical advice/intervention is never acting out of faith, infact that is your faith in action, and faith without works is dead (except the you have the conviction to stay action). Have you seen someone who needs financial breakthrough lock him/herself in a room praying and fasting without making any effort to diligently work towards that goal? Will God reward lazy hands?

For some of us looking one kind at the end of year wondering why we should be thankful, you are still alive ko!, Cheer up, pick up the pity patter attitude, get on with your life. I have one life to live, so I am not going to allow anybody including family send me into the valley of tears. It’s not going to happen again. I pray God will make every one of us discover purpose even as we allow Him to transform our lives in Jesus name.

To the men who are here supporting their wives, kudos to you. For men who are doing waka pass and who can’t show empathy to their wives, please support us in words and action, a lot of us didn’t ask for this, neither do we wish it for any flesh and blood. I had gone to a doctor who after taken my history said a lot of his infertility cases are from women who married as virgins, this shows where we should take the battle to, cos I for one will continue to preach that the bed should not be defiled before marriage if the devil likes it or not. For those who want to advise us to opt for adoption, we already know about it, I appreciate valid suggestions like that but it will no longer be appreciated if it is shoved down my throat as if my life depends on it.

I rest my case with the Lord, drop my burdens on the Rock of Ages, seriously dancing and embracing the new year with gratitude.

Wishing us all a very merry season all the way and a Happy new year.

I’m coming back with my barrage of questions.
Cheers, lots of love and hugs to the house

my husabdn noticed my depression and asked what the matter was and I told him that I dont know why his sister is always saying that she does not know who our child resemble is it because she knows about our ivf success? To my surprise my husband screemed did you tell her? and I said I tought she is aware since you two always talk about my pregnancy failure on phone so I told her during that time we had fracas over the girl you were charting with on phone, when she asked me how far? I said but please pardon me I tought she is your best among your relatives because of the way she hovers around you and you two always talk even in the mid night. as am typing now My husbabd is not at home she does not talk to me, he only tell the little girl when ever he is going out. had I know he did not tell her about the ivf I would nt have tell her
I happily told her because I thought we are all in same boat heading to getting pregnancy.

Hello ladies why do we give men and inlaws so much power?
When did IVF become a stigma. My sister abeg package wella, see me o u wan go give ur child for adoption.Marraige no be by force o,all this men that misbehave anyhow in Naija, they can't behave like that abroad o.
You need to own your action, the worst that will happen is u will be a single mom,get on ur knees and pray confusion out of ur home
IVF is such a blessing to mankind, you shld be proud u have an IVF baby, let ur SIL mind her business

Hullo. Pls I want to know if anyone here has had d experience of getting a BFN at d initial PT test following an IVF procedure only to later get a BFP. I think I might have noticed something like that on this forum before. Truth is I really need to b encouraged. Tomorrow will b 3 week exactly dt I had d procedure done. I went for Blood PT yesteday but it was negative. My consultant asked me to do a repeat test tomorrow. I am so unhappy I didn't just see d BFP straightaway, but as a child of God, I am believing God that Iam pregnant and as my name is, iam a joyful mother of children. Anyone with some experience I could relate to? Thank U. #joyfulmothersof2016weare100%

Morning mothers on this thread. I just had an experience and don't even know what to me of it.
Been ttc for 5 years. I ve had 2 failed IUI. And in Dec last yr went on IVF. 8 eggs were retrieved out which 6 were okay. My doctor suggested we transfer 3 embryo cos of my history of blights ovum (it has happened twice), and freeze 3.
I had my ET on day 3. Dh and I got summoned by the dr only for him to tell us that the lab guy loaded the 6 embryos and not 3. We were in a state of shock.
1. What if all the 6 sticks?
2. What if it fails, we ve no frozen embryo, hence no plan B.
But as God would ve it, after going thro the torturous 2 weeks wait, I tested and it's BFN.
I am working with the mindset that God rules all and it's probably isn't time yet.
I have an appointment with my Dr. tomorrow. We ll like to still try out ivf again.
I M confused. Do we still use this hospital. (We were 8 on this ivf cycle, 5 bfp and 3 bfn as informed by a friend there). Just painful I M not on of the bfp, though can't imagine 5 or 6 embryo sticking.
Should I ask for a discount?
#feelingthankful, but confused

Em erm nne me like cheap things o! But e get level o when e go reach u run. Babe that was gross negligence. The one they admitted o! For all u know , truly they transfered the 6 (crazy!) Or they lied and kept some back.
Sister I'm not trying to scare u, but what's worth doing is worth doing well biko! Find another hospital. In fact if na me I go scare the hospital ist so they dnt mess with another patient.
Biko which hospital is this?
