oomiyale the ivf/icsi is 1.1million at st ives.but the tests is 250k i think.

i hope they are good there sha and there wont be no case of negligence on the part of the nurses at st ives cos those nurses their act is questionable.or else me i will write a bad story about them on blogs if they dont act with care

Soory to cut the party. I need clarification on ivf and iui. I want to settle down, tragically I found we both AS. I just can't let go at this point, am fasting and praying for a miracle, I don't mind delaying settling down to explore all options. Kindly advice pls. Thank you

Hi my dear... I am a retired fertility specialist and I would more than happy to assist where I can. IVF is is the process of fertilization by manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish, and then transferring the embryo to the uterus. IUI is placing sperm inside a woman's uterus to facilitate fertilization. Please feel free to send me a message and we can work through the options together.

@ Omiyale, the whole procedure from the down regulation to when i did the pregnancy test was a little over 2 months. My life was not on hold during this time, as i was doing my usual activities while avoiding the strenuous ones.

If you are about starting, i suggest you go the whole of this tread from beginning to the end, don't rush, you will get some valuable info

You might need to go through Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) if you want to go the way of IVF.

From your post..... about to settle down........ i'm not God but if you are not married berra pray about this very well. It's not an easy thing for those with sickle cell traits and their parents

The stress of IVF is one thing, PGD in Naija is another!!! Please think twice

please @ wholesomegrace is the ET painful please share your experience with me,i am already loosing my sleep.i started with day 2 injection today,i have no issues everything about me is ohk but my husband has a very low count hence the option of IVF,

we have tried other options,used drugs to the extent the pharmacist said i shoukd stop wasting money on drugs that is hould seek herbal treatment,he did surgery too same result infact lower before the surgery

ET is usually a breeze, done without anesthesia, un like egg collection.

You really need to think about this very well..... For me, I would advise you let go! Can't enter 'fire' with my eyes open.. when the sufferings and stress set in, the love you thought you had would turn to frustration..

Both of you can find love again... let go!

@ bolateetoe transfer shouldn't be painful, however, mine was awful, and I am not exaggerating. No explanation was given as regards this. I asked one of the ladies we did the cycle together and she told me hers wasn't painful. Just go in there in look unto God only. It is well

Which hospital did you use the last time? I won't advise you use Ives if its for the promo

I love that advice"pray like everything depends on God" that was the same advice I gave me to my cousin, it worked for me. Don't just be like let's try, but believe that what ever you are doing will work. Keep that faith. My ovulation kits said no ovulation and I threw everything out both used and unused, then completely put my trust in God. And I had my bfp that month, my daughter will soon be a year, all this happened while I was battling serious hyperactive thyroid and was on thyroid drug. My doctor was even asking us to commence fertility treatment cos he thought I couldn't get pregnant on my own.

Please women whatever you are doing, put faith in it and never remove your eyes from God for a moment, Dont ever get tired of praying.
Never ask God a question or cry when you hear some woman has been blessed, rather ancour your faith to that child and hold tight to God, I remember when my mom called and told me that my cousin who got married after me has delivered, as soon as she dropped phone,I started claiming mine, I spoke it out aloud. I have been using that child as a contact point for my own . Chineke zaa unu ncha ekpere nwa na aha Jesus Amen.

It is well my brother, I know what it means, I was there but God saw us through. The last thing you will do is to give up now. The same God who did it for us will do it for you and the rest of the waiting sisters in this forum.
