Had a 3D scan but wasn't comfortable with the result cos the presentation wasn't so clear as per the s.ex, the sonographer told me to come back @ 32weeks for more, that's such a long time. Will do a normal one to get a 2nd opinion.

Dear team mate and other belleful mamas, especially FTMs,

Please lets not make the mistake of entertaining fear or iota of doubt with respect to our ability to have a normal and natural childbirth.

Here is my experience during my 1st pregnancy:

During the early days of my maternity leave @ home, while awaiting labour to set in, i kept opening my legs in front of a mirror, checking out my "small" vaaginal opening and comparing it with the "big" head of a new born.

Gradually, it started sinking that there was no way a baby was gonna pass through this my kini, it got into my subconcious and when i eventually went into labour, @ 6cm, i begged my doctor for a CS cos i just could not imagine the baby passing thru my thing.

Now, i'm better informed and set to welcome my 2nd child the natural way.

Hello, house. Pls, if u are a expectant mother, my i advice is you stay away from island maternity. The corruption and inhumanity that is bedivilling the country as a whole is well and alive in that hospital.
Just lost a beautiul baby boy that would have been my godson days ago in that hospital due to deliberate act of negligence on the maternity staffs.
How do you explain the refusal of the personnels to move a labouring mother into labor room, 24 hrs after her water has broken, on the ground that the contraption had not gotten to 10cm or whatever.

I later got to know that its a regular practise for years now for staffs to purposely ignore patients in dire need of emergency attention just so you can part with money.
Unfortunately, we were not aware that such practise exist in such places, if not probably we would have did the needful just to save a new life.

Its sad and pathetic that the faith of innocent children would lie in the hands of callous creatures who call themselves caregivers.

A word is enough for the wise.

2nd stage of my labour..
I was chatting tru d pains for a long time. Finally a nurse came and seized my phone telling me to concentrate cos I'm not in d US.
Now my mama who has had 9 live births oriented me earlier on the term labour,contractions,pains,etc.she had said every wave of pain and contraction tells that ure a step close to meeting ur baby.she had pushed 9 live babies without tear and didn't die from contractions.thus contractions dont kill,labour pains don't kill instead they help to bring forth ur baby.
And so pains wer now getting somewhat unbearable for me,although breathing techniques helped a little.I started visualizing my baby in my arms already,I visualized Jehovah taking charge of the delivery,giving me strength to push.
One of the tin that I transfered my labour pains to was d iron of d delivery bed I was lying on.dat iron suffer for my hand I almost break am into 2.I tie shaygay comot from d iron body.to me e better to tie or hold sometin o instead of wasting ur precious energy cursing ur DH or screaming drs and nurses to help.I didn't scream or cry one bit from beginning to end na only d hunger wey wire me pain me angry

The nurse on standby sat by me and was monitoring my contractions by placing her hand at d top of my uterus,d contractions wer 2 mins apart.she checked me again around 2.30 and said I was fully dilated but I should push gradually since I'm a FTM. I must only push at d wave of contraction.
Mehn contractions from my experience are like a rope tied on my assole lipsrsealed

and being pulled.u jez can't control d urge to poo.
I was asked to lie on my back,my head was propped up.placed my 2 hands on each leg,and concentrate on my bump.And so I pushed at d next contraction making rabbit noise and d nurse shouted that I better stop those funny noise coming from my mouth and push like a dumb.so I pushed again at d next contraction as though I was really dumb using all my strenght. Still no baby.nurse reach out to my vjay and touched baby's hair,from that moment she told me baby's hair I pushed with all my might I juz cudnt wait to see how much hair it was cos I don scratch my belle ugly and there's this old wives tales that says if ur Tommy itches u badly while preggie it means ur baby will have lots of hair on d head wink

2 other student nurses were urging me on "u can do it mummy ur baby is close" mehn I can't remember how many times I pushed again o maybe like 10 times sef cheesy

the nurse resorted to giving me a little episiotomy and my honey Bunnie jumped out screaming d building down!God be praised forever!
2 mins later I was asked to cough 5 times and the healthy placenta also came out.I'm free and thank u Jesus was all I was shouting cos I felt like a big truck was rolled away from my body.So how I dreaded labour wasn't as bad.I forgot to add that my baby is sharing hair o 2 all still waddling mamas that want grin

Thanks all. We were all giving a helping hand to come into this world, we should extend the same to others. No amount of money is worth the birth of a child.
Now, i appreciate mothers and life now better.

mamas, I observed something. .
do we know tht no matter how detailed a birth story is, it cant still b as detailed because we cant xplain the pain..
the pain is rather experienced. . thats wht makes one begin the journey to motherhood..labour is all about how much u can withstand pain..
For me, it is painful o! cos ordinary mosquito bite is painful. .
so this , my second journey is filled with prayers..
lets just pray to God to make it easy as easy can be..
it is well..
