Rota is different 4rm Penta. Rota n PCV is not free in govt. hospital in Lagos n Abuja. U av 2 pay 4 it in private hospitals n dia prices varies.

I experienced same, but mine was with discharge. Firstly stop washing ur vjay with any antiseptic or medicated soap. A very mild toilet soap like premier will do or warm water with a little drop of maybe purit or savlon. Dettol is harsh pls note. Then get canestin or sabrestin cream (clotrimazole) and apply on the affected area may be once or twice preferably when you want to sleep.
NB: Please a plastic comes with d tube for insertion, never use it as a pregnant woman. Thanks

Rota & Penta are two separate vaccines.

Penta is a compound of 5 different vaccines, it used to be DPT (then it was 3) while Rota is for diarrhea..

Rota was 7.5k when I got it for baby K late last year. My family friend who is a consultant Paed said they've made submissions through NMA long long time ago for PCV & Rota to be provided by the NPI (National policy on immunisation) but.....

The most important vaccines are not available free in government hospitals? Do they think it's not important? I have seen four cases of severe diarrhea kill babies including my cousin's son and former neighbour's son, all less than six months of age.

Not to sound crazy but i don't agree with you,diarrhea isn't the most important... Polio, diptheria, Whooping cough, tetatnus, measles, etc are way way way deadlier.

As for the inclusion in the NPI, the ex Minister of health is an orthopaedic surgeon who also had gubernatorial ambition so his head wasn't in the right place i assume.

The present one is a prof of OBGYN and a maternal/child wellness advocate, hopefully the matter go enter hin ears..

It's costly because vaccines are generally cost prohibitive but we don't really know it because donor agencies {Bill Gates foundation provides for polio} and federal government provide them otherwise mortality rate for nor be here...

I paid 17.5k for vaccine in one day, i just imagined if na minimum wage earner.....

P.S..... My older kids didn't get PCV and Rota{but paid big money for another one that isn't in the govt programme at Garki hospital around 2011 cos my dearest friend was on my case } cos we didn't know about it back then and i got them for baby K out of paranoia, the CHEW officers were like, 'NA MONEY DEY SCRATCH UNA FOR BODY"

Really? But it wasn't this much in my first pregnancy. Then there's this other feeling I've been experiencing since i was 14 weeks, when I'm on the toilet seat it feels like baby wants pop out. I've discussed with my doctor and he said it could be a UTI but the test came out negative.
I tire o. I'm just counting down and praying this ends well as the first one did.

My late son who was born in 2006 didn't get the rota vaccine too. then it was DPT, and some other abbreviations.

Which one is PCV because that one wasn't administered on my son too.

Beremx, They probably didn't indicate it in the form so as to avoid Q&A since federal didn't provide it.... Vaccination is not the responsibility of the state govt... Donor Agencies and Fed govt contribute and sometimes, Donor agencies contribute as much as 90%..

What really happened was that there's a health center close to my house but my hospital is kinda far. That's why I decided to take the vaccines for him at the hc. Our HMO covers all vaccine. Am not sure he was given at the hc o
