We are still at the hospital due to ABO incompatibility jaundice. But by Gods grace we are victorious. Any mama that has tips and remedies on how to manage jaundice at home should throw more light. It will be highly appreciated.

Tipsyjules I felt so sorry for your predicament after reading your birth story. What they did to you wasn't fair at all, no human being should have to go through what you went through in their hands. May God help our healthcare facilities and staff in Nigeria, especially with their nonchalant attitude. Sometimes you wonder whether they were forced into the profession

The only consolation is your healthy baby that you have to show for all the pain. May God keep him for you.

I went on fact finding misdion yesterday at my hospital.
They said its standard to give LA when sewing up.
Said there is even a machine 4 sewing at extra cost
I used to think its only neddle n thread.

They also said 4 fibriod, they dont remove it with baby during cs.
the person will come back after 3 months.
I said ahhhhhh. For pendiculated fibriod too..... thats wickedness o.
Cos with my lay m@n knowledge, its not like those in d womb dat are connected 2 numerous blood vessels.
Just one blood vessel dat can be cut n burnt or tied n d fibriod is out.... but wat i know?

Yes I have, he ddnt do VE oooo, he jst pressed my belly and checked the heartbeat nd told me 2come back when the contractions are closer

Hehehheheheehe, same here, our powder still tanda gidigba, infact it's the powder I bot for my older baby, not 2 and she used one can that year and I kept this oda one for baby Sophie.

Dear Sis, from the little I know, powder is not good for babies as it can lead to respiratory issues when they inhale its particles. Please stop or reduce to the barest minimum the use of baby powder. Left to me, no powder for babies. My Gynae told me this. How is Ekene today?

Hello to all the mamas in the house.hmmmn...its been a while since have been,well lets just say since i had my baby boy.he'll be 4 next year march n i pray he grows up to be the best God wants to be.amen!yes here i am again with my second baby on the way,well its almost a month old and i must confess it seems am gonna enjoy this one cos i don't have any thing like morning sickness or throwing up here and there.i pray it turns out to be like this till i have this baby.this time around i want a girl yea cos boys can be so much trouble but honestly i want to know what it feels like to have a baby girl,can't wait.To all d expectant mothers in the house including me,i pray we all put to bed safely with no complications at all and i also pray for those who are looking up to God for the fruit of the womb,may God answer your prayers.amen.[color=#770077][/color]

My BS while waiting for my mom to table my hot Uda soup
My mom has always told me that I would give birth before 40 weeks. That it is in our blood .
I scoffed it off but Sha packed my bag and made my delivery hair at 38 weeks.
My edd was 18th October, on 7th of Oct (Thursday night) dh and I had one unexpected quickie, around 1am I started having contractions, went to pee and saw the show . I went back to bed but couldn't sleep. I didn't want to alarm dh so I went to the sitting room and started consulting Google. Apparently it was false labour cos it stopped after a while.
The next day, (8th) I started having contractions again by 12am, told DH that we would go to d hospital by 5am. By 3am I couldn't hold it anymore. We took bag to the car. Started the car but e no gree start. Dh worked on it for like 20 mins before we called a neighbor to borrow his car. We got to our estate gate and it was locked. We called security and they asked us to follow back gate that the person with the key isn't around. We had to drive to d end of the estate and follow one back road.
We got to d hospital by 4am. I was checked and was 4cm dilated. I was admitted and I sent dh back home to go and fix his car. I was checked again by 10am, was 6cm by then till 12noon when I was given hot injection plus drip.
Sisters words cannot describe the fire that took over me.
I threw up.
I called God in all the languages I knew
They checked me I was still 6cm,they upped the dosage.
Jisox! I started rolling, at that point breathing exercises are useless. I was screaming out the pain. I was checked by 1.30pm, and was fully dilated. I was told to go to school delivery room. I don't even know how I ran to d bed.
Mamas pushing is another journey o.
I pushed and pushed and pushed, nothing
I was given oxytocin, the pain quadrupled. Nothing came out.
The doctor put her hand and stretched my VJ. I pushed till I could feel the babies head. Then came the cutting.
I felt every cm of the cut. Finally the baby came out, and she delivered the placenta.
I heard my babies cry and was satisfied.
They say once u see ur baby all the pains would be forgotten, izz a lie
When the doctor came back to clean me up, that one na another matter.
She put her hands in my uterus and started soaking up blood with pads. Chai! I felt like a cow that was being dismembered. Then came the stitching.
But I thank God I came out with my son.
I must also commend the person that delivered me because my lochia has almost stopped.
She soaked up most of the blood..
My son is worth every pain I feel.
To d remaining mamas God would give you grace to deliver without complications. Amen

My own threshold for pain is zero!
I was telling my doctor that he had better be ready for drama on the day I will deliver. Lol

Hope the dust from the powder don't enter his nostrils. Dats my concern. And why are you applying the powder all over his body after each bath? Won't it make his skin dry?

BellaElla, thank God for a safe delivery. With this experience you wonder how women go on and on to have so many kids. It's not easy but we thank God. Kisses to your son.

Was it a general hospital yoi used? Pls name o. I cannot come and go and be thinking of delivering in such facility.
Just console yourself in the fact that your baby is well and alive.

BellaElla, I no fit laugh, that cleaning is another painful experience all together. I was cleaned like that during my first birth, I actually didn't allow the nurse to clean further cos the way dey shook hand inside sb's uterus to draw out all the orishirishi blood can be so painful. I was injected before they could continue cleaning. Kpele and thank GOD your healthy baby is right there in your arms.

Officially in my third trimester. Week 28 and everything has been great.



I have been welcomed to this trimester with nausea and heaviness in my pelvis. I was looking for bump and kicks, now i have for sale . There's a sharp contrast in this trimester. Looks like an excavation job is going on in my jajaina. Lol. At any slight opportunity, i am off to dream land.

I have not started shopping proper but just got the complete delivery items for now. Will try and do so asap. I don't intend buying much and 'luxury items' as this is my last baby by God's grace. Boot hanging as soon as i am done .

I take my prenatals regularly and i discovered if i don't take them, extreme tiredness sets in. So i don't joke with them. I even got the complete pack that will last me till after birth.
I eat normally as i don't have weird and extra cravings. For those who can eat for africa like jazzyjazz, pls add my ration.
Clothes no longer fit at all. I thank God , i still have the strenght to run my business.

May God be with us all and keep us to deliver healthy babies and fathers alive with plenty money.

I trust u na u want to be prepared. Weda machine or hand, I still feel it will be painful o.I just wish there's something like plaster that will just be placed on the episiotomy and it will heal without them sewing it.
