Yes it was working, I used it for installation few days back

i have formatted it also, what I noticed is that when I install windows 7 the trackpad started working fine, but on windows 8 it doesn't work even after driving it

Sometimes I could be on the internet it wiould want to go off , displaying same message that computer is out of memory and asking me to shut down or re start . Sometimes if I want to re start , it will go blank and before coming up. What is the problem please? I have used 360 antivirus on it , so also is ccleaner , the problem persists.

you need to free some space in ur hdd

. Free ? The laptop is 500HD,vand it is partitioned into C,D,E the C is for keeping my files which is halfway, the D is virtually empty , the E is used as backbone for backup of files though 70% full. So which space am I going to free when non of the partitions is not full yet. Or am I wrong?

same thing happened to my dell vostro but its okay now.. just remove s batri and leave d lapy for 5days.. it will start working normal if u accept dat magical advice.

U mean the in-built touch pad? U sure u haven't disabled it using the function Keys?
