Chest-beating as usual!

You don't know the present capabilities of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Your lots that have a single jet fighter! grin grin re even chest beating.
Now tell us what the Nigerian army has.
The last time I checked
Their fighter jets and ships are outdated trash from world war II.
They re still battling with common Boko haram for how many years now.
The unlimited weapons from the british won't happen this time.
The Nigerian army felt the impact too it wasn't a walk through for them.
Bloody murderers that targeted civilians.

Thank you for exposing your tribalist nature- this is just what I wanted. But, pray tell, why would you want to marry from a tribe that, in your own words, has a high prevalence for prostitution? Look at how you Igbo-haters get yourselves twisted in a web of deceit and hatred.

Ephi123 Ngokafor QueenofNepal Kathmandu and all of the other Igbo women on this site, come and see what this Yoruba man who claims to love Igbo women is saying about us undecided.

Unfortunately there are too many sick people roaming about here, how many will one engage? They are a complete waste of time.

I will continue to state it that Yoruba men marrying Igbo women is due to the accident of Lagos.

If Ojukwu had been successful in the 1960s with Biafra and Lagos abandoned as intended, your Yoruba marrying Igbo wont exist.

Dat spell it out to u that ur marriage is an accident, an abomination, a convergence of chance and never natural or God intended.

Youre misinformed
Inter-ethnic marriages existed before the civil war

. Herein lies the lesson for Biafra agitators: Secession from Nigeria will not solve their problems unless accompanied by conscientious leadership.

Nigeria, meanwhile, must go back 50 years to draw its own lessons: These types of agitations can lead to war. If the south-easterners don't want to stay, let them go. Fragmentation is a million times better than the devastation of war.

Summary

Apt response sir. However I disagree with your statement in bold, permit me to express my observation about the quagmire that is Biafra and the secessionist movement, by firstly examining its genesis.

1. 1966 - Nigeria's 1st coup (led by an officer of Ibo extraction) that eliminated a good number of influential politicians from the 1st republic (mostly of northern & western extraction)

2. Still 1966 - Nigeria's 1st military head of state assumed control and took over from the coup plotters. He, for whatever reason (probably tribal) refused to prosecute the coup plotters which caused national outrage.

3. Again in 1966 - General Ironsi (He was also slated for assassination in the failed coup), introduced unification to the Nigerian system of government, hence centralizing power.

4. 1966 shaa o - People start de vex for ironsi, especially for north as dem see say him no wan do the needful. Ethnic tensions were rising, as the country, especially the north was suspecting a conspiracy. They subsequently started plotting a counter coup.

I'll stop here, to be continued.

In summary, I am of the opinion (not withstanding my absolute opposition to the unfortunate pogroms that ensued), that the Ibo, have been the cause of their problems in Nigeria. Actions or inactions of individuals especially from the south east region have one way or the other cemented a perpetual distrust for the Ibo people and subsequently led to their being maligned.

Also, the cries for restructuring, true federalism e.t.c also fail to consider the fact that General Ironsi's 'Decree 34' abrogated the country's federal structure in exchange for a 'Unitary one'.

In essence General Ironsi (an Ibo man) undid & abolished federalism from Nigeria back in the day. Even though he meant well (God bless him)

So who exactly, are the Ibo blaming or rather who exactly should they blame for their misery in a country of people who have genuinely always had a potential for peaceful coexistence?

I'm sorry to say that the Ibo really need to do a lot of retrospection in respect to their plight and seriously consider working harder and joining hands to build a better nation.

Balkanisation creates weak nations and weak nations are generally poor nations!

Think twice about Biafra!

God bless Nigeria!

As it was said, if pa gowon did not renege on the trusted gentle men agreements of ABURi WE STAND with ojukwu there would'nt have been that needless war. Pa gowon pleased the north which caused the war. Pa gowon is been quiet about that his singular mistake while every blame is on ojukwu. Pa gowon should resolve this problem becos there is no war ground in midwest as we will not run helter scatter again.

Have you tried your hands in Literature ? You could make a kill as a romance writer, but definitely not in the Biafra-Nigeria Political space. First off, before we start making analysis of a problem, lets start by evaluating the causal factors on the premises we reference. The wars that produce Eritrea and Southern Sudan were much more tribal than Politico-commercial paradigms.

Biafrans have never mentioned war. It has been the Federal Government of Nigeria and her personalities powered politico sphere that has been chanting the war drums. From our review of the personality behind IPOB, there has never been any slogan of war. I constantly hear them sing, 'Give us Biafra'. They say, 'Referendum' should be held for a vote to stay or not. These are very civil moves. And a universally accepted standard.

But I think there is a gap that has remained unfilled in leadership. Different groups, some tribal, have given their voice to Restructuring, and even though the APC manifesto clearly stated that they are coming on board to restructure the country, they have refused to do so. In fact it was Buhari who started insulting others by tagging them 5%. He called Nigerians Baboon and Dogs (will soak in blood), then his beautiful wife called Nigerians Hyena and Tigers etc. The entire family of the President, might just think the entire country is a zoo. Which is what I believe Nnamdi observed before tagging along with the zoo. I tend to agree that humans are animals of habit. Except we push ourselves into this war by design, then it will not be the fault of Biafrans, but the failure of political leadership to attempt to unite the people via diplomatic vehicles instead of war. The war, that the Federal Government will lose as I am damn sure that no Oil will flow from Niger Delta where I come from if Nigeria goes to war with Biafra Again.

We from Niger Delta will not allow our Oil to be exploited to sponsor war and killings. We are ready to keep feeding the whole country as beggars that they are, but we will not allow oil to be used to finance wars. You all need to take that to the bank and cash your emotional currencies.

Am a Biafran, I only copied and paste from their website

Neither history nor currency is on the side of Biafra. Only two secessionist movements have ever succeeded in Africa: Eritrea from Ethiopia after 30 years of war, and South Sudan from Sudan in 2011 after 22 years of war - the latter still as war-torn as the pre-2011 Sudan.

Summary

I really think u should go and read history.

No nation survives a second civil war. It is usually so bloody that the oppressors against their own will would let go.

These days no one needs to look for weapons again, evil businessmen from from shore to shore looking for conflicts to supply weapons to. And There's enough oil to entice them here..
