It could be implantation bleed, it is usually a good sign if there is no pain and the bleeding is not continuous. However, still go to the hospital, ask for a scan and also an examination to check cervix is closed.

Sometimes more sinister things start with no drama. better to rule anything out or capture any potential issues and deal with them early.

If you request for it, at a laboratory or hospital, it will be done. I doubt they did it at d health centre cos its more than a hundred naira and its not done at each visit.

The cervix muscles closes up during pregnancy to "hold" the baby in. if it is open for what ever reason early on in the pregnancy, it could lead to a miscarriage or premature delivery.
