hello house, pls I need help, sometimes my pc moves up on its own even when I move the cursor down its still goes up, it's been so for sometime now, is there any solution?

If I understand your post, you mean to say the desktop (window) will turn upside down by itself right?

If yes, I'll advice you change your keyboard, there's is a faulty key on the keyboard, might be the ctrl key.

Thanks sir.. I've tried downloading other versions.. Buh they aren't working..

Okay.. Thanks sir.

I've tried installing and uninstalling the app, It's not working
I downloaded some app like to fix the registry 'rkill', 'ccsetup540'.. I'm still encountering the same problem
I read online that it the problem might be a faulty RAM, I doubt if the RAM is faulty cos it shouldn't have open the app initially..

What else can I do?

I can only tell u to reload the operating system.

Hi guys,
Quick question.

How does one fix a 'plugged in, not charging' issue??, what's the cause?

PS: the battery's good, the ac adapter is working well too.

If you've tested the battery and charger and you confirm they are working well.

Then it's time to face the motherboard.
There are two ways you can solve it.

1. Work charging on it which is the simplest way

2. Use the laptop schematic diagram to trace voltage to the charging IC, first you need to know the voltage required to make the charging IC work well.

Something like the pic below (that's another motherboard schematic)

I'll advice u take it to an engineer closer to you for check up.

Battery good, charger good, then board has got some issues... Computer hardware is pretty straightforward.

Just that once in a while, the "demons" have their way grin grin...and yes they can be tamed.

I don't think it's the keyboard, the mouse cursor moves on its own sometimes, always to the left

IT'S ASKING ME TO FORMAT THE HARD DISK

Let's try this

First, make sure you put your laptop in a place it won't get disturbed.

Second, ensure your laptop doesn't run out of charge.

The CHKDSK Utility :
This is an inbuilt utility that allows you to check and correct certain Hard disk errors.
This time were not just going to check the errors we're going to be to also repair the HDD.

Here we go
[b] press the " Windows key + R", in the small box type "CMD" then hit "Ctrl+ Shift + Enter" keys (since you're going to be running it as administrator).

Once CMD opens-oh! I forgot to tell you grin; it's a really ugly window, just text.

So, once CMD is open type in the following without the quotes- "chkdsk /r d:"

Where "d" is your drive letter. So if your drive letter is "f", then you're going to be typing "chkdsk /r f:"

Then hit the Enter key.

This searches through your hard drive for errors (file system errors, bad sectors etc)

This process can take hours to complete - but it will be well worth it. Once done you can simply close the command prompt. Check if you can now use the HDD.

Recovery Softwares take more hours - like really really long hours to compete.

So, let's try that. Shall we?

*Cheers *

You didn't answer my first question.

The mouse moves on it own?

Did you install any update recently or update your drivers?

Hello

Hmmm...
*charging
*not powering

Two possible situations

1. The power switch might be faulty
2. There may be a little issue with the board- it will require some checks - see a computer technician.

Just before you hurry up to the technician, let's try this

Remove all sources of power to the laptop (charger and power adapter) > hold the power button for 15 seconds > now, put back the battery > try powering... Any difference?

Hello

I get the feeling - don't freak out grin

I once had a laptop that gave me this issue. Boom! I was firing up to disassemble the laptop, but just as I was about opening the laptop, I mistakenly pressed the power button and guess what? It came up!

* so here's what you're going to do first
When you open the lid of the laptop, wait for a few minutes... and no, you're not going nuts grin. Now press the power button...

*were going to repeat the same thing but this time after opening the lid, go ahead and press the power button, just wait a few seconds, does it come up?.

*We're not gonna be trying that again. This time after opening the lid, remove the battery (and charger if you have it plugged in), now hold the power button for 15 seconds. Put back the battery. Press the power button. Any changes?

No changes?
Let's go deeper!

*Take out the battery, plug in the charger, does your laptop power after pressing the the power button once?

*Do you apply extra pressure on the power button?

Let's hear from you
thanks very much for your help and suggestion.
but I have done done all this you suggested even before posting it here. thanks am hoping to get more suggestions, I don't have money now to take it to computer technician

Whats the model of the laptop, you say it on by luck. If it power button is like the ones we have on hp elite book 8460p, it might be the contact silver iron is not touching it well or might be from the motherboard.

It can power on anytime it feels like.

First of all what's the model?
Samsung NC10 notebook

Hello, NaHiim

Formatting =Wipe everything
e.g- format the entire hard drive.

The word "reload" is a highly misused word!
Often interchanged with the word "re-install" and "format"

I would say, "reload" = restart, to begin a process again...
e.g- restart the laptop.

Now you can see "reload" doesn't quite fit in as substitute!

Now here's another one
"please re-install the OS"
In this sentence, I'd rather stick with re-install, though some would say "reload the OS"

"backdating" is another word that can properly be called "restore"

Backdating = taking an Operating system back to the date it worked excellently well. This process is properly called "system restore" .

As to your first question - short answer, YES.

Hi.

Let's just say, the window needs activation!
If you Google "Windows 7 activation", you will be bombarded with a lot of sites promising to help out. I did try a few in the past that worked. Although the sites still exist, attention has now turned to windows 10 and may be windows 8.

I do have an offline utility, you just run it on your system and voila! Your windows gets activated. And that "Windows is not genuine" thing disappears.

Since its a pretty small file, I'll upload it on filehippo.com then I'll share the download link.

Tomorrow at 9:00 am.

Cheers.

Most of these Samsung always come with they type of power switch I'm talking about.

So fault might be from there or from motherboard, so take it to an engineer for troubleshooting.

Yes sir, the mouse moves on its own, yes there was a recent windows update

Before the windows update was it working properly? If yes, I'll suggest you do a restore to the one before the update. Enter save mode and do that.

Also note that a bad charger can make the mouse the system to malfunction, making the mouse to move anyhow.

So check by removing the charger if it plug, restart and see.
