I need to bring in My relative in through Visit visa and I don't know how to go about it. we will fully sponsor the trip but she has no financial base or ties. she is a single mother with grown up kids around the age of 47. she does business here and there. can we successfully apply for visa and how can she prove ties. just so confused and desperate

Hello all the Gurus, my inlaw is about to make a late application for a school that resumes on the 20th Sept. my self and husband want to sponsor the entire course and maintenance. the question now is
1. can we logde the money in his account immediately so that the 28 days start reading hence as soon as the admission comes out we can apply
2 will he need more than a month bank statement

please we need your urgent response.

Rotimi89:

1. What about her maintenace fees? Is it in her personal account as a sister cant sponsor, only parents and has it spent the required 28days?.

2. Apply for visa asap using priority if the latest date of enrolment is still like 2weeks or more.(comfir from the school). Or else use super priority service if closer.

3. The interview is simple but she should avoid vague answers.
She should prepare a concrete excuse why she is deviating from her previous program to this New master plan and how try to have a specific reason for the change of intrest and how the new program will help her futue career plan.

Other questions includes:
Why the school?
Why that program?
Who is sponsoring and what dey do?
How you plan to comute to school.
Where you plan to stay.
Your modules
Duration of the program
What your firdt yeat tuition is etc.

Speak slowly and clearly to enable the eco take notes. Also be confidence and research well before applying.

Good luck

Dear justwise,
Thanks for your prompt response. The plan was that she will live with my sister and commute from there. My sister will also be responsible for the transport to school and other maintenance cost. We her mother can't sponsor her as he does not have the financial capacity and her dad is late. She is in no financial position to sponsor herself as has no job. We don't have the time to lodge the money now as the school is starting this week. At this point it seems like an impossible venture

Dear justwise,
I and my sisters live in the uk and we are looking to fully sponsor a cousin to come and do a masters with the hope that she could stay back obviously. My younger sistsr has the financial capacity to put in the applicaton so to avoid stories that touch she will be the sole sponsor. We have never done sonething like this before. Here is our dilemma, the course starts in three days.
We applied on friday and got the admission today. My sister just paid the full fees. How can we prepare this lady for the interview. The course is not in line with her first degree and cos we have limited time to work with i need to know the best way to go about this.

It is so annoying... this people are so unfair , i made some calls yesterday and i was told they intentionally do it to our applications... I did not pay for priority because i read it on the page that one should not pay for priority for settlement visa. I found out that that Notice on the page is false. I cannot believe they are doing such to Nigerians...because most other applications whom submitted around 20th of march and above they have started receiving there visas. Why would he not make the interview? what is wrong ?

when you tracked was it no updates they sent to you or what did they say?

Happy Sunday tunderule, they only said is yet to be considered by an Eco. His interview is next week Thursday. I am really praying this is the week. This is week 11 for us. We are almost there.

How far, this people are really trying my patience o. Have you tracked your application again. I did today and it's still not even being considered. What is all this delay for abeg. My husband has an interview in two weeks and I was really hoping he would hit the ground running but as it is he may not make the interview. This wait is insane. Anyway I just missed the rant.

Oh wow I lived in Cardiff for over 10 years. I Went to Cardiff university and my mum and brother lives there but I moved to London for work. We would surely meet up then. I got a reply and they said no update. It's very generic and seems system generated. I don't think it's a maned service. Gods speed for us.

LMAOOOOO i was teasing you silly... if i was upset i will not be looking forward to hearing from you ... Anyways.... Before the end of the month we will hear good news !!!! i have counted the days and it is not even up 2 30 working days... you are on 34 days now.. i bet they are looking into yours now .

JUST READ SOMEONE STORY ON ANOTHER FORUM I AM ON....

Just want to add my piece here about this experience.

Completing the online portion was easy. It was difficult because a lot of what I read here on what to provide for fiancee visa, I did not include in my application. I felt overprepared as at the appointment I left out half of the documents as it was not on their checklist of what I needed. The officer then kept telling me that what I wanted to send was too much.

It was non priority so I expected 12 weeks. After perusing these forums I noticed I did not send a house inspection of my future in laws home of where I will be staying for a bit after we get married. I also did not provide ANY chat or skype logs. Nothing. Only provided several trips we made together as well as my fiancees 2 trips to Canada and my trip to the UK for xmas.

So of course, I started to panic. I did not prove we kept communication while we've been apart. And I know from reading here that it all depends and varies on who is checking, what else you have provided etc Apparently it was not a big deal as the visa was approved and issued March 23, and I received it today.

The wait, as everyone knows, was absolute torture!

Now you are the bearer of good news!!! I really have been panicking cos I did not put any call logs from our Viber calls. We have to start planning our little get together for when we win this battle. Will you be residing in London.

they will get back to you on monday!!!! most definitely .

I am sorry you took offence 1 was only joking and it was just a figurative expression .I only meant you have not given me any hope after your revelations. Try not to take offence at insignificant stuff. I will keep you posted. Fx

Yes it is too late.... once you have submitted your application you cannot purchase the service. sorry friend.. I wish i could too..
Just ask them about acknowledgement and you will still get update on your application. What date did you submit your application?
We submitted on the 1st of March. You are just a bearer of bad news today. I emailed them already so I am hoping they have looked into mine. Fx

tunderule2016:

I just told them i did not get any acknowledgment . Regardless of any email sent to them they will tell you the current status... Honestly i wish i had done the priority too just was indifferent about it since we still have some sorting out to do... I submitted in Lagos. Hmmm abuja shorter time.. i dont think so , because all the application still goes to Sheffield... here is the link

https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-outside-uk
the response time was quick.... they will send you a survey afterwards...

But come to think of it ... 60 working days is the time line with 85% completion and if i have to count from March 9th (it is just 28 days) guess we are impatient lolol...

Let Hope and Pray!!!!! all comes out quick and fast .. stay blessed.

Do you think it's too late now to ask for priority. I was wondering if I can ask them when I email.

Hello Zinfly..... have you emailed them to check the status of your application.. I cannot believe they have not even started processing an application submitted in March 9th. WHAT A JOKE!!!!

Try emailing them....ask anything and they will still respond with your status....

Hello tunderule2016
Please tell me you are joking . What email address did you send the enquiry. I should have just paid for priority but hubby refused. He has ended up spending the equivalent of 350 pounds on fuel. Where did you apply Lagos or Abuja cos I heard Abuja has a shorter processing time.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by zinfly: 4:03pm On Apr 12, 2016
We put in my husbands application the same week you did. I have also been tracking like mad and at week 5, I have practically run out of patience. The wait is frustrating. I will race you to the end I guess. Wishing you all the best in your application.

tunderule2016:
I have a feeling from all my researches... Nigeria applicant applications take longer than others..... so unfair...

Country applying from: Nigeria
Type of visa applied for:Settlement-husband (non-priority)
Date application submitted (online or in person):March 9th
Date biometrics taken:March 9th
Date documentation was received by UK Border Agency office: March 14th
On March 14th, they asked for more supporting documents from Sponsor.
On March 22nd, the documents were emailed to them.
Office location processing your visa: Sheffield
Projected timeline given: Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date
Date of documents dispatched: Waiting
Date your visa was received: Waiting

I just tracked this.....

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status GWFxxxxxxxx and date of birth
14/xx/19xx and found that there are no current updates.....

Lexusgs430:

Did you submit all the required documentations, pictures, communication logs etc etc etc?
Yes I did but I am a little bit apprehensive Of not meeting the accommodation requirements as my landlord is responsible for the bills. I had a letter from the landlord, pictures of the floor plan as well as an independent property inspection report. However I have not provided any utility bills or council tax as they are all inclusive. I am just worried that might constitute a huge evidence gap.

hello dear ladies,
I am so pleased I came across this thread on nairaland and though I have been a silent follower i think it's time i came out and make my presence felt. A brief background, I have been trying for Three years, mild pCos and possibly blocked tubes as I had a PID in the past. I and my hubby have decided to go for IVF this year and I know it will be a success by Gods grace.
We plan to do it in September in the UK. I will like to know what preparations I should undertake prior to the procedure eg meds, questions to ask my RE, I also plan to lose some weight and get my BMI down.
I look forward to going through this process with everyone.
