1) The court declared Pa Lamidi Apapa, the Fmr Deputy National Chairman as the right candidate to be Acting National Chairman (according to the Constitution of the Labour Party) when the Chairman was suspended on account of court actions.

2) Pa Lamidi Apapa is a founding member of the Labour Party. Peter Obi and his Obidents joined the Labour Party 9 months to the election.


3) The Obidents could have just ignored him instead of harassing him out of the court room.

May I ask you?. What if the people he audaciously ordered to vacate their seats for him were foolish enough and heed his command, what outcome do you think that single action will bode on the case before the court?.

This is what we studied in Jss 3 social studies, Nigeria is based on popular/majority votes, & winning 2/3 of 37 states , not the electoral college system practiced in the United States.

We have our version of an electoral college; it is called the FCT, and a candidate for the presidency of the federal republic must get 25 percents of votes cast in this location to meet the constitutional requirement. Please marry that fact.

Prof. Let me ask you. What is the essence of the election when all it takes to fail is 'not make' 25% in FCT?

It means even though you win the entire 36 states with 98%, and garner over 34billion votes across the states. Not getting 25% in FCT means another election of 300bn will be re-conducted.

All it takes is political actors without any road to victory or path to majority votes, making sure they block any body from getting 25% in FCT; by crook or hook. Because they know even 25billion votes cant save anyone.

All it takes is political parties focusing on FCT only and giving middle fingers to the other states. They can even try importing people from 36 states into FCT just to vote and scuttle the opposition impending victory

People like Sowore and others who know they cant win will just campaign only in FCT, bribe the residents and make sure the votes are split. Then we will keep repeating election till thy-kingdom-come without president.
