Guys do it for different reasons. Some see it as a routine --- wait for a few days or a week and then call.
Some lose interest and delete the nos, while some get the nos just to boost their "toasting skills".
An old friend of mine used to do that. He'll confidently walk up to a girl, chat with her and gets her nos, only for him to delete it afterwards.
I figured he lacked something during childhood and it was his way of dealing with it. Lol

Wen u call the number it will say "Hello this is not the person u wanted to call, the person that gave u this number didnt want to give u their real number. Why did the person give u this number? Maybe because you are ugly, boring, dirty, dumb, annoying, have bad breath, smelly, wierd, or a psycho etc. The best advice we can give you is to get over the rejection and forget about this person" LOL, I give this number to the guys that I don't like and insist on getting my number.
