TravelRe: I Want To Knw Hw Much It Takes 2 Travel 2 Thailand by 19naia(m): 10:49pm On May 17, 2012
i dont know what kind work you can find there...i only went as tourist...i do know that so many people from all over the world are going there and many more always trying to go and so thailand has revised their visa policy years ago to slow the traffic of foriegners to their country...They still have lots of foriegners coming but now they charge more money for them to come and make them stay short time or continue to pay to stay longer.......Working there allows longer stays and its made easier if you find employer to sponser your visa there usually 1 year work visa or study visa........i cannot advise you what work is available because i never went to explore work there..i only research all the visa options at the embassy and talked to american friends who got work teaching english there....it is hard to contact thai people and ask for job because they have few english speakers........Its not impossible to work there,so i wish you luck in your employment search...

TravelRe: Nigerian Passport For Oyibo by 19naia(m): 5:00am On May 17, 2012
I am the son of a nigerian man who married an "OYINBO" woman and we lived in nigeria for almost a decade through the 1980's...My oyinbo mom hated it and left after 4 years and i left after 8 years and my father fell into poverty when his nigerian government universty job failed to pay him much less keep up with inflation....any way we kept touch with other nigerian/oyinbo mixed families and i knew of 2 senior oyinbos who lived decades in nigeria with thier husbands and even died there(i went to 2 funerals for oyinbos in nigeria who lived decades there with naija husbands)....i cannot say you can get a passport..but if you need to stay there permanently, there is no reason you cannot -under the immigration provisions....my father was not fortunate to stay finacially well in nigeria ,so he has been in USA for the past 20 years now and is doing very well now and has his american passport...YES NIGERIAN MAN MARRIED OYINBO AND NOW HAS AMERICAN PASSPORT AND HIS NAME IS " MY DADDY " and it took him about 15 years to earn it.....maybe you will just have to wait and what ever reasons you have for not being able to suffice for 15 years with just a resident status is your own business with no answer or solution from me...good luck man....If its about right to own property, then maybe have a baby there in nigeria and get the child nigerian passport and see if the law allows you to control interest in what you put into trust by your childs nationality priviledges and then wait to get your nationality priviledges in 15 years......maybe my idea doesnt even apply to your situation? good luck friend..

My friend i grew up with in childhood in nigeria is dual citizen of europe and nigeria and he went on to become airline pilot in hong kong with big airline company going international...He took holiday from london on his motorcycle and ride it all the way from london to nigeria..Some people with money and who are international pilots with passports from europe and get free flights from thier company,,still choose this adventure route...he even gets free tickets from his airline employer for his sister to fly..his siter and another friend from nigeria- also dual citizen of germany, they drove thier car from london to nigeria.. Adventure is a powerful motive and even the desperate and destitute are not immune to it...i happen to have lived quite a few years in nigeria in hardship but with the good fortune of being born dual citizen from USA and nigeria..Mother USA and father nigerian..So as it went,i met many friend who were also mixed race/dual citizens from europe and america with fathers from nigeria.....Every last one of us dual citizens i was friends with, let our nigerian passport expire and renewed our overseas passports and got out of nigeria they way we had available,so to speak from my nigerian side-,there is nothing i can say bad about any nigerian trying to leave nigeria for the same raeson i and my friends did...All of us dual citizens in my home town in nigeria left after highschool or in my case i left naija 2 years before high school finish..
TravelRe: An Illegal Nigerian Immigrant Arrested In UK After Living For 20years by 19naia(m): 3:52am On May 17, 2012
yes theres a number of USA citizens in foriegn countries who are hiding from USA authorities..also UK citizens...it is global fraud from all countries....Nigerians are just the ones so overpopulated that desperation sends nigerians into such lives also....Dont forget american man who was sick and going to die with no doctor money..he commits crime so they take him to USA prison where they give him free treatment no matter what the cost is,so as to save his life..The prison is responsible to maintain the life of every pisoner so they do not die where avoidable..yet this man was sent home to die when he was free and honest man...maybe this nigerian man believed prison in USA is better than poverty in NIgeria?? Prison in USA=free medical, free complete dietary needs with basic quality foods, clean houseing with no malaria and other infectious disease (unless by drug use and sex transmital),free education to the highest level you can achieve including PhD....Its not a lie to many nigerians or asians or even some americans e.t.c.-that prison in USA can be better lifestyle than free and honest on the streets of terminal poverty...i bet he was a hard working honest employee during his 20 years there, and thats how he made it so long...lets hope he did not murder to get that identity...

The tiket price depends on where you are flying from...if you depart lagos to bangkok-I just saw quatar airlines showing $770 one way and $650 return...You are required rountrip ticket if you are not citizen or permanent resident...It is possible as a general rule to fly to any metropolitan destination in the world fro around $2000. roundtrip...so from there you can search for cheaper and also they can go very expensive where quatar will quote round trip as $1500.oo but other airline will say $ 7000.oo......i was in thailand with american passport last year in november 2011 for 30 days and thats the free entry they allow me...for lobger stay i must go back to my country and apply to come for 3 months or to apply for student visa or retirement visa or work e.tc. and all those visas for more than 6 month stay require around $6000.oo payment or even higher than that...it is very cheap there even if by naira standards -yet the quality of life there is much cleaner and organized than nigeria..They do not speak english there so it will be rare to find english spoken there...many americans and british e.t.c find work there teaching english and the employer will sponsor the visa and pay a salary and the worker sometimes will not need to buy ticket either... a lot of fun travellers who are retired or have money at young age,,they go to thailand and then every 30 days cross the border into next country of cambodia and all the way to vietnam also and then come back after some time for another 3 month or 30 day visa for thailand or as little as 15 days.....it is effort to stay there even for british and americans and so on..because so many white people from USA and europe and all over the world in fact are running the streets of thailand,it is like an invasion of aliens...but that is why thailand is rich among poor nieghbours and they have beauty in thier country and world class food alone brings millions of people...
TravelRe: Nigerians In Chinese Jails_ Please Watch by 19naia(m): 3:14am On May 17, 2012
Sad story but many of the actual guilty ones knew the risks and penalties and decided to accept it and so they accept it....i must comment about Jails in the USA...When i was in nigeria having hard times,i would have probably commit crime in USA just to be held in USA prison, where i will get better food 3 times or 4 times a day unlike my past in nigeria; I would have enjoyed an 8? year sentence where i would be provided free education up to masters or PhD level and free medical; i would recieve counselling and connections of where to work when released and how to manage a good life e.tc....its sad that these things would not be available to me if i was a free honest man in a regular common man society in Nigeria...As it goes,i would need big money just to go USA and commit crime so as to be sentenced to 8 years of luxury before deport back to nigeria to suffer,so the plan defeats itself because it takes being rich to get there.......Still,there was an american man last 2 years ago who was diagnose with disease that will kill him..there was a chance for a new expensive procedure in hospital to save his life, but he is a poor man and was given the cheap option of old therapies and to go home and wait to die...when this man had nothing left to lose, even being in jail was a good life if it would come with free medical treatment for any condition...If being in jail would extend his lifehuh yes,he went to commit a crime that did not harm any persons physical body and got sentenced to jail..in jail he was given medical checkup(for free as mandatory) doctor found his disease and ordered to cure him (as mandatory in prisons in USA) he told someone about his scheme and it got out to the news and the prison wanted to punish him for fraud but the public out lashed at the system for spending big money on prisons when they can make good life for honest people so that desperation does not turn him to a criminal who wants only to save his own life...He did not get punished for his deciet and the government used his story to further the cause against the deciet that keeps a rich country like america from having complete health care for all people and not only free medical to criminal, but to free honest people also.....
TravelRe: A Thread For Travel Enthusiasts! by 19naia(m): 2:45am On May 17, 2012
I was born in USA and the first flight i remember was to nigeria...Then i remeber my next flight was 8 years later from lagos back to newyork..i was so desperate to leave nigeria and have not been back in 22 years since.....But i travelled by road and airlines to almost 30 states in USA..i lived washington DC,kentucky, arizona and my latest home is now in Hawaii in the center of the pacific ocean -small islands as part of USA...i spent last 2 years in philippines asia and travelled before to mexico, belize, guatemaa(central america travel when i lived on the USA border area of arizona state)...i have my ticket now set to leave in 2 weeks to my home in hawaii for a few weeks stop over and then off to Panama city by late june...i will go by bus through costa rica and into nicaragua and i will be in the area between nicaragua and panama for 6 months before i go back USA christmas time...so next year is another travel i must do..i either go to a new country or return to one of the countries i been to before...Nigeria is on my mind and my most nervous plan even though i have more experience in Nigeria than any other country except USA -i have more years in USA..My ex-perience in nigeria was tough with malaria and poverty even with my father working but not getting paid his salary and going to a corrupt shcool and just so much problem,it was only my american passport and american family that intervene with money for ticket to go USA.....if i go again ,i am my own man now and have secure income from USA and much better than my father tried to raise 4 children on..So maybe i can afford to get mosquito nets and eat food that is balanced diet e.t.c......of all the places i go,nigerian food is such a thing i miss....all the places i travel are no longer like mesmerizing overall, its just usual habit of adventure where so many places are just the same, and so mostly i am into the people experience i have in new places......i hope in the next 2 years to make it to nigeria and that would be the most exiting of all my world travel by far (I travelled before to lots of countries like-------------- london, spain ,france, canada, thailand, philippines, almost all countries in central america)..nigeria was so long ago a part of shaping me as i grew up; and every where i go,i do not find that part of me in other countries,,but in nigeria i find where the culture that influenced my personality at young age- is still alive and well....hmmm just hope its safe trip because as i experience in world travel, nigeria is unique unmatched in the world in many ways good and bad and so to be safe there.....
