The people I don't get are the people that eat bread with mayonnaise... I think it goes better with salad than bread.

Loool don't worry, you won't understand. When I was much younger, I never liked the bread & mayonnaise combo, infact the sight of it had me irritated. Some of my schoolmates would bring it to school every day and the sounds they made with their mouth and then messing around with their mayo- fingers always got me infuriated.

Versus me now, I can't seem to get enough of it. When I'm done with bread & mayo, I go ahead to slice my cucumbers and spread some mayo on it. Absolutely love it.

Yeah, I can relate. What I do is, I help if I can and ignore whatever attitude they put up afterwards. I have so much anxiety issues to deal with so I won't allow them add to it.

Loool I actually find it funny that pointed nose, dimples, pink lips and gap teeth takes the lead here(at the moment though) maybe cos I don't really get to see a lot of people with such physical attributes. Pink lips, pretty common now(men & women alike). Dimples, not so common. Pointed nose, that's quite common but higher possibility in a certain population than in others even generally, here in Nigeria and in Africa as a whole, iykyk. Gap teeth, not common at all(how come I haven't seen y'all cos I can literally count how many people I've seen with it, just about 6 of us vs the world lol just kidding)

In some cases you should just cut them off. In others, set boundaries. In some situations where you can see they're not beyond help, help them stop unhealthy behavior.

I totally agree. Lord knows that I'll set boundaries if I find myself in such situation. If I'm doing something for/with them, then I just want to do it. OP, for his teenage children, you can try to help them unlearn, I hope they change.

Focus on your residency program. It is quite draining but then try to figure your way around it somehow. Sit down, copy out your work schedule and see if you can squeeze out some "you-time" orrr incorporate one or two things that will help you function better, first as a human being and then as a medical professional, primarily to blow off some steam so you don't get worked up with all that pressure you have to constantly deal with. Time management is very key. Sleep is essential as well, don't put any social activity over it, e get why. Take care of yourself, don't be looking like a madman. You have many more years ahead of you, still a very promising young man. A little balance here and there, you'll do just fine. Cheers!

Those people wey go done carry eye chook before you even reach where dem dey, dem no dey ever carry face straight even as dem dey waka, na their matter weak me. On a normal day, I avoid locking eyes with random people...somewhat awkward, at all at all e nur dey pass 3seconds and that's because I'm trying to recall if he/she is an acquaintance or just a face that looks familiar.

Itzwandis, you really hit the nail on the head. It is indeed a psychological issue, they keep trying to recover their lost funds but can't see that they're instead losing more funds, they have their minds sooo fixated on getting back all they lost. I also believe that if they can put all of that behind them and try to forge ahead, it will definitely help a whole lot; none of them are willing to let go. Bad habits die hard but then you should make more efforts to stop so you don't eventually get ruined, never give up.
