RomanceRe: My Friend's Ex-girlfriend [BBM Loyalty] by 1one(op): 5:34am On Dec 27, 2014
striktlymi:
Peer pressure?? Or is it 'my best friend syndrome'??

Lol!!!

Dude your life shouldn't revolve around your friends, no matter how close they are to you.

Their friends need not be your friends, let alone their 'enemies'.

Personally, I stay clear of all my friends girls. I don't store their numbers, I don't accept their BBM pins, I don't even help them solve any relationship challenge.

Since you'd rather be close to the girls of your friends and it works for then good but you need not throw away a friendship built with them because your buddies can no lomger be with them.
Lol.

I understand what you're saying perfectly, but to avoid being overly lengthy in my reply, I wouldn't want to render some submissions that may make you see exactly why I'm even asking this question in the first place.

That said, I steer clear my friend's girlfriends too and I don't think anybody does it better than me to be honest, and that's why this case is kinda peculiar.

Thanks for your reply.

Honestly I've not made any cast in stone decision yet, it's just that one of my possible choices may be weightier than the other at the moment... Just want to know what people think.

I would say we chat like once in 3weeks...but when we do, we may end up chatting uninterruptedly for 2hours.

The thing is, I diss and tease my friend alot with my pms and dps... So I'm just thinking that if I still keep her on my bbm, she may have intermittent sneak peeks into what's going on in my friend's life..... Which of course isn't supposed to be so, because they are now exes

I'm guessing many of you on seeing the topic of this thread, would have thought I wanted to start whinning about how my friend's ex-girl friend is hitting on megrin.... Errrrrmmm....Unfortunately that's not the case, not quite unfortunately though because the dudette has major scroin scroin angry

Anyways...My friend's ex girlfriend and I are friends on BBM....we are kinda cordial...A little bit above the "hi hi" flow. Now, my friend recently deleted her from his bbm... The question is, in a bid to prove my unflinching loyalty to my buddie(one of the two best buddies I have on earth) should I also delete her?... Would it make me come across as petty and immature? undecided

Or is it actually the next reasonably objective thing to do undecided

Dude, you need a pulpit and a microphone.

This is not a church. Preaching morals is lost. How dare you say someone looking for sexual compatibility is wrong? Or a woman searching for financial security?

These are things that can drive one nuts Na.
If that's the way you see it, then I guess we are two parallel lines.

Mynd44:
You are just talking about variable change which is normal but for that attraction to be started. For romance to blossom there must a standard which the person must attain before you are attracted.

If the person then loses those qualities later, you might have seen another part you like and decide to stay.

Before their is attraction there must be the point of that attraction and if that point is absent you can only talk and talk.

If you don't have it, you dont
I agree.... But those standards must/should border more on personality than physique, on content rather than structure...In this time and age, it's not a common trend, but when have we ever done what we are supposed to do as humans.

This is how true relationships are forged, content and character, not structure and physique.... If there has to be a mixed proportion of the two which of course there should be I'm not denying that... Then it should be 60/40 in favour of content and character any other, if otherwise then it becomes what we know as the conventional meaning of the term "gold digging"
RomanceRe: Why Is Gold-digging More Of A Woman Thing? by 1one: 11:41pm On Dec 25, 2014
Mynd44:
Why?

People have what they call deal breakers and if you don't have that quality, it wont work no matter what else you have. They can manage you for a while but that hole will still be there.

A man who does not like fat women does not like fat women no matter who she is. She might cook like his mother or be as respectful as my dog but he still will not like her.

The heart will love who the heart will love. It is conditioned That wat. A woman who is not attracted to broke guys will not see your kindness. You will only be a good friend and that's all
As much as there are deal breakers... I believe we should still give room to exercise some form of flexibility, particularly if these desires of ours are more superficial than innate.

If you marry a slim, sexy woman, being that even dating a fat woman was a deal breaker for you, what now happens when maybe due to child birth or a perpetuating type of eating habit, she becomes so fat that she virtually starts to leak out like a 50kilogramms worth of shiiit in a 10kilogramm shiiit bag. If the heart will love whom the heart will love, then are you saying we are nothing but helpless zombies and puppets left to the dictates of our hearts/emotions/feelings?

Everybody is entitled to have their tastes and preferences, their deal breakers and must haves... But really is there anything that is absolute?....A rich man can become poor, a pauper can become a king, a big bossomed lady can become flat chested, a slipper chested lady can become a milk factory... So what gives?

I think we should all have tastes... Yes... But let them be more inate than superficial.

Many of the comments on this thread raise up really interesting thoughts, at least for me.

Gold digging is not just about money, but rather about our interests, tastes, preferences and other things we would rather not do without in a partner of our choice.

Whether we are digging for money, for bossoms, for good accent, for height, for white teeth,.... In a way it's still gold digging, and at the very basic level, gold digging is healthy, Infact very advisable to an extent, because it's better to be with someone that satisfies many or most of your key tastes, so that you won't be forced to helplessly look elsewhere

That said, there's still a very dark side to gold digging, and I think that's what the question of this thread is about. It becomes a dark form of gold digging when you totally abandon all the other rubies, sapphires, and diamonds dotting the path of the gold.... If someone has other amiable qualities (peaceful, respectful, intelligent) but you choose to ditch them because they've got no gold(no money, short heighted, flat bossoms etc)... Now that's a type of gold digging that should be kicked against

RomanceRe: Why Is Gold-digging More Of A Woman Thing? by 1one: 10:56pm On Dec 25, 2014
Mynd44:
There is nothing like "Gold-digging" it is a lie we tell ourselves to hide our ego.

A lot of us have tastes. We won't go after a girl/guy who does not have that quality l. If a woman or man is concerned about her financial security and see finds it attractive in a man why should we blame her?

A lot of men love women with big boobs and won't look at women with small boobs and no one insults them Na.

If a girl does not like you cos you are not rich enough, move on and find one that does not consider money.

Stop Bìtching
Makes alot of sense.

Why do I feel as if chibwike has a soft kinda akamu voice gringrin

Anyways.... Very nice thread

I couldn't agree any less

I think where you begin to know you're ready for marriage, apart from being financially secure, is when you notice there's this intense desire in you to care for, be responsible for, nuture another human being

I'm at that point in my life at the moment.

Na to find the woman na hin remain

Once more Big ups to the OP
