You have spoken well... I am a salesman and mostly all my customers , bosses and prospects are on my bbm list and whatsapp... I don't feel comfortable using a ladies pix cos it makes me look like a joker. Do you really think using a ladies pix on my Dp will have any effect on the people I do business with. Thanks
True...In your own case, your woman should be objective enough to see reasons, I don't think it's ethically appropriate business wise, to put your woman's picture as her dp since most of your contacts are business clients or prospects... But maybe on special occasions-her birthday... Feb 14 and others. Atleast your business partners are also human beings and not machines, they too must have and appreciate someone special in their lives.

RomanceRe: Is Using Your Partner As Your DP A Sign Of Love? by 1one: 6:06pm On Dec 19, 2014
I don't think it's a sign of love.... But it's also a way to somewhat re-assure your partner that you're not ashamed of them, and that they are the only person you're seeing.

The dynamics of a relationship varies from person to person, some people don't mind if their partners don't put their pictures as dps, while others "demand" it, not necessarily out of paranoia, insecurity or jealously, but that's how they personally interprete expression of love.

Summarily, whatever works for you, if you're in a committed relationship and you know your partner loves "PDADP" [Public Display of Affection on Display Picture], then very much so, please do it.

Abeg why are you so intelligent like this huh

As long as your reply was, I was still checking under my table for more... Incase maybe I missed out somethings.... It's always always intellectually refreshing to read your posts/comments et al

Having a looong laundry list is not the ish, neither is having a short one. Anything is possible. Personally, I have observed that for people who are termed as being too far reaching or high handed --- it's just a single trait or two that they look out for in a partner, if its not there, forget it!
This is so so true.

RomanceRe: HELP! Snoring Is Destroying A Friend's Self Esteem by 1one: 5:17pm On Dec 19, 2014
OlamiB:
I copied this from a friend's diary with her full consent smiley

I woke up again this morning feeling guilty like any other day cos I know fully well I have disturbed my roomates sleep.
It is not something I like and I didn't intentionally inherited it from my dad, it just happened and I wonder why people insult people like me, it is soomething nobody willl willingly pray for.
I cannot forget the day a guy friend came to sleep over because of a group reading, the first thing he said the next morning was "mide you fit sleep gan o, u kept on changing your snoring gear, dnt you know you are a girl?" I didn't know what to say it was my frnd that covered up for me.

I no longer feel comfortable at night, I see myself as a disturbance cry I have stopped sleeping in friends houses, it is weighing me down emotionally.

This is the little I will be able to share, so house help my frnd, and to people like her how do you cope? Have u seeked any medical help?
Tnks
Sought

I've always been "unfortunate" to have sleeping roomies that snore both in school and even during my NYSC, aside that, My two best buddies in the whole world snore, one more than the other, Infact one snores so much, the vibration from his snore can pump out oil from a stone...what I'm I saying... The fact that they snore doesn't change anything about how much I love them... I think your friend should surround herself with true friends that won't make her feel guilty and ostracized because she snores.

Snoring is not something anybody walks into a shopping mall to order.... It's inherited, so she shouldn't let it affect her self esteem at all... She has to know that snoring doesn't make her, that's not all there is to her personality so she shouldn't allow that "flaw" suck out her joy and happiness

She can be lighthearted about it... Anytime she's passing a night in a friend's place she can go like "guys my generator go disturb una this night ooo.. Abeg make una no vex.. you can't have a fine nose like this and not snore"

She just take it easy on herself.

So, what's your ideal gap between relationships, 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years? smiley
Personally I don't have an ideal gap between relationships, the last time I was in anything remotely close to a relationship was 5years ago.. So for me, there's no "ideal gap" as it were.

I think the question of how long one should stay before the next relationship, should be a function and question of how emotionally, financially, spiritually and otherwise stable one is at that particular point in time in their lives, it should have little or nothing at all to do with numberics.

However the case is, whether 2days, 2months, 2years or 20years...it is important that one goes into a relationship for the right reasons, my personal submission is don't go into a relationship to look for happiness, instead go into a relationship because you want to share the happiness you've already found with someone special..someone you deem fit to share with.
