The Quran is a divine book revealed directly to Muhammad by Allah. Translating it to English would mean some words or interpretations would be added or removed. So we prefer to recite it as it was given to avoid corruption as it had happened to previous scriptures (Bible).

same thing my dad was doing when I was 25, I made him stop it in hard way, I changed it for him on that good night.
